If the fragrance lasts longer im all for the "elixir" brands. Keep them coming.If Versace or Azzaro the most wanted makes a elixir im all in.

The Wanted line already has so many flankers that it’s getting confusing from a consumer/marketing point of view, imo. If they release an elixir version, it will increase the complexity even more. Imagine a regular customer trying to decide between the most wanted, most wanted parfum and wanted elixir.

Hey Ash.....be on the lookout for the new Boss Bottled Triumph Elixir. Based on the 2023 release with added "uplifting fresh notes". I'm expecting a lot based on the elixir foundation.
Great review Ash! I can say it is hard to find it in stock so far for me anyway. One place I found had it in stock and I had it in my cart for checkout, got distracted and went back a few hours later to complete the purchase and it was already out of stock lol. If anyone knows, please pass it along if you can.
Salty Swede here, in the store when sprayed other than the sweet cotten candy that hits you right away I couldnot help thinking of butternutsquach seeds or The Galia melon or its parents honey dew or cantaloupe seeds. Burnt fudge came a little later on. It is so special, but what do I know i am just an infant in the hobby.

Guaranteed that Sauvage or Le Male would top it. No need to make it or watch it. Don’t like the Sauvage and Le Male is quite nice.

Looking forward to trying this but this year I would love some fragrances that are aimed at all year round, rather than cold weather or warm weather scents. Something we can wear whatever the weather and it just works.
Been looking forward to getting this one since it got announced. Can’t wait to get my nose on it.
Remind us next Fall. It's almost February, I want to see some new versatile year round and summer scents at this point.

I was a big fan of it. I still love the original THE SCENT
I hate that the Lavandin Absolute they use in this smells only vaguely reminiscent of how lavender smells. My soap contains more lavender than this. But it's an okay scent nonetheless.
Just bought the og boss elixer, love it. now i have to test this one😪

Bought it and loving it. It some Kind if reminds me of Initio's paragon with that fruity/spicy opening (plum vs maninka) and the Lavender/sandelwood drydown.
They're certainly no Clones, but they have certainly the Same vibe. What do you think?

Ya know, it's a shame a little gem from 2009 called Azzaro Pour Homme Elixir always gets left out of the Elixir talk.

Need an elixir type fragrance for tropical weather. Love the scent but living in SE Asia makes it more challenging to wear.
Most tropical/hot weather fragrances have notes that don’t last very long (citrus, for example). I know few fragrances that have beast performance and can be worn when the weather is very hot (and I think none of those fragrances can compete with long lasting winter fragrances).
It would be awesome if they found a way to make fresh notes last longer. Imagine L’Homme from YSL if it’s opening lasted multiple hours. It would be amazing.
Gucci guilty elixir is an amazing performer and is an all season fragrance imo definitely give it a shot !
D&G Light Blue Elixir, maybe? I'm not much of a freshy fan unless it's super citrusy like Xerjoff Nio or Torino21.
People really have an issue with Elixir?? Elixir has been the best thing for me. Designers are using elixir to make Flankers that are unique or adds a niche level and i am loving this, when i hear elixir i think ooh this is going to have a hint of niche to it. And for the most part all the elixirs have had amazing performance of 10+ hours. Please guys if what it takes is "Elixir" for companies to take more risk i will take that. Again Elixir for me just means "Niche Designer" and i hope this becomes the new pattern. For me a new DNA should follow the following pattern eau de parfum (introducing a new DNA) , parfum (A longer lasting intense version of the same DNA) , Elixir (a niche version of the DNA).
People are just snobby and want something to complain about. imo every elixir is amazing and I would build a collection of just elixirs if I was starting out

While I don’t disagree brands should hold themselves to higher standards. I can’t agree with the price. Boss has never come across as an “expensive” brand to me. Yet they’re slapping on a 140$ price tag just because they named their scent “Elixir”. I’m not ecstatic about boss, but we’ll see.
Its an expensive brand, just maybe doesnt charge much for its fragrances.
@@ojshaw7671 They’re luxury, sure. My dad used to wear Boss when I was younger, they were still mostly Italian made back in the 90’s. Nowadays everything they sell is made in China. It’s sad how far they’ve fallen.
