This is the Shark HP201 Air Purifier Max. Shark finally put the cleansense IQ tech into a smaller console. The 601 and 402 have large screens while the 201 MAX has a small display. I give my honest review and compare it to the Levoit core 400s. They are furniture. I wrote this in 2021 about the 601, "Like the Coway AP1512, Winix 5500, Medify Ma-40, Alen Flex, Shark has created a brand new, updated, heavy duty air purifier that could be one of the best new air purifiers in 2021." Did it meet my expectations?

Do either expose lead into the air? That’s what I’m worried about. Along with ozone

Wasn’t clear…which do you think performs better? This Shark or the Levoit 400s?
They are very similar so I would call it tie based on your personal priorities. The shark has the updated design and a sleeker display. Both are about the same in terms of air purifier speed and odor removal. The levoit is wifi enabled and levoit filters are easier to find.

A lot of smoke just blew over town from the forest fires in canids. I got this because of the smoke. And our ac didn’t have a filter on it. What’s your opinion on the use for cleaning smoke from the forest fire.
Hi! Sorry to hear about the fires. I hope you are OK! Regarding getting smoke out, this unit will help start scrubbing the smoke particles out of the air but for the purpose of removing the smokey odors, it is not powerful enough for rooms over 300 Sq ft because odor removal is based on the carbon filter. The carbon filter is high quality on the shark but my alen/levoit 600s have special filters you can buy for smoke. I had a small kitchen fire that smoked out my entire house. The shark definitely helped running it on max 24/7 for 3 days straight then keeping it on fanspped 1 or 2 everyday but the smoke odor takes the longest to get out.
Why didn't you compare the levoit 600s instead of the levoit 400?
Hi! We didn't use the 600s for this test as it's bigger and more expensice than the shark. The closest in size to the 600s from shark would be the shark air purifier 6 but it has a totally different design . Here's is my review ua-cam.com/video/EPwM1O-YrSs/v-deo.html
Would the HP202 be better for an apartment around 995sqft? I have 3 animals and would like something to help.
Hi! I recommend 2 air purifiers on opposite sides of the room (if it's a loft) or a air purifier in each room in an apt. Even a air purifier with about 500 Sq ft coverage area every 12 mins (ie blueair 211i max, shark hp202, etc) will be best for a large room but not an entire apartment.
Would you say the 400s is good at picking up dust? im buying it today hoping its a good invesment

Hi! Levoit core 400s refreshes the air in a 403sq ft every 12 mins. It definitely works well for any room under 20x20.
Does this work for mold? I’ve seen no claims that it does from the company like on other air purifiers its usually on there box instruction manual or on description on web sites but I’ve not seen shark claimed it works for mold
Hi! I would not recommend it for mold. For mold, it's more about the filter and the shark does not have a filter designed to help deal with mold. Also filters designed for mold are usually 2x the price of normal filters.

@@deaneybwoy4332A dehumidifier would be better for combatting mold than an air purifier.
