Entering the pocket with Max and Josh are different. Max doesn't posses that KO power in 145, only time he really KO's his opponents is after he puts some serious beatdown on his opponents and exhausts them, so as a fighter of Ilia's caliber you might be willing to get hit by Max couple of times in order to open him up and create your own opportunities to land a moneymaker. On the other hand, Josh can literally KO anybody in any round of the fight if he lands clean enough, hence of why Ilia's game-plan was to avoid the pocket as much as he could and work from the outside, only entering when Josh was overswinging out of desperation. Max's chin is legendary, but how much longer can his iron chin withstand the inevitable losing battle with father time? I think Max can avoid getting KOd if he takes my advice and doesn't panic under Ilia's pressure and keeps his back off the fence.
