Kevin is my favorite breeder because he's so intelligent. No click bait needed because we all know Kevin is going to share his knowledge with us. Much love and respect to NERD!
This brings me back to the old days when it was just Kev and a camera talking crazy ball pythons, love it!
Really nice job guys. This was a really good video on what odium is/how it interacts with other genes. I think it would be super cool to have a series of these breakdown videos but for each gene 😁 especially anything that originated out of nerd. Flex those morph God muscles Kevin! 🤘
That started out exactly how I feel you should start with all your crazy genes/combos 😂 video's...... I got more from that then all the other Odium videos.....👍🏼
I love the progression of the snakes and how they change with time! I love learning everything I can! Keep these kind of videos going! Have a great weekend!
Lmao I'm so proud of Kevin! Finally taking some tips from
Bryan XD
It's almost like a melanistic version of a high expression calico/sugar. Also, I can watch videos like these all day. Thank you.
I love how Kevin shush-es the snake
Appreciate you kevin for being a trailblazer!
this was a great video! thank you so much! i really enjoy these types of videos when you show a gene, describe its unique characteristics and compare/contrast its results with other genes. would love to see more like this! keep up the great work guys!
Really interesting to see the gene progression from wild-type and seeing what happens when you add other genes. More of these would be appreciated if possible... thanks :-)
A brilliant vlog which just totally blew my mind with the Odium Gene.
The Nerd intro is by far one of my favorites. Was curious about the odium gene, appreciate the elucidation 😊
I was singing the Billy Madison “ Back to school” song in my head when Kevin was listing off all the genes in some of those snakes 😂
I love this! I wish my generics course in college involved reptiles instead of just mamals because the gene expression is so much clearer. I'd love to see more of this.
NERD ball pythons look different than any other ball pythons I've seen. I'm obsessed with snakes, particularly ball pythons (like everyone) and breed them (like everyone) haha, but I do draw a lot of inspiration from Kevin and NERD, just how creative he is using genetics like a paint brush is really cool. I think I see what Kevin is trying to accomplish with some of these Odium pairings. Get as much crazy color and pattern as possible then see if you can use genetics to dissolve the patterns to where they almost completely break up or explode but you can still tell they are patterns. All of those snakes belong in a Van Gogh painting, they are very impressionist looking to me, I'm probably way off the mark but it's just what I see when I look at the multi gene Odium combos.
Thank you very much !!!! K
9:27 THAT is absolutely gorgeous! The yellow is amazing!! I know nothing about all the different genes and what they do but I DO know what I like and that is one of the prettiest Ball Pythons I’ve seen!🐍❤️🐍
And 13:24……Gorgeous!!
I love this kind of video where the genes are shown. Thanks Kevin!!
Loved it, always fascinating to learn more about the different types of genes, and what they add to the mix. Thank you!
This finally made sense on the Odium! Thank you guys!
Watched this live and I’m watching again! Love just listening to Kevin explain things! Awesome video!
Love the fade out... They are so gorgeous
Thank you! I understand the gene better now. I would love to try and add odium in my collection. Please do Lucifer gene. I really liked the combos that had odium and Lucifer. And now that I understand what to look for, I’m excited about the gene instead of totally avoiding it.
OMG can you do some videos like this with some of the basic genes???🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. Other people have some videos but I’m just more confused after watching 🥺... I particularly appreciate the age progressions... epic sh#t here👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
10:14 I love the color of this snake. So many snakes and I have to fall in love with one in the middle of the process.
I know all of nothing about snakes, but I love hearing passionate people speak about the thing they are passionate about. Really enjoyed this video Kevin!
Very interesting. I’d like to see more 2 gene combos to see what things trigger it more or less. I feel like some of these have too many genes to pick out the specific changes. But very cool discovery.
Love the odium gene been waiting for this video love what your doing kevin amazing stuff I need to add this to my collection to work with keep up the great work man !!
Hi Kevin I am glad that you explained the odium Gene. The snakes were all so beautiful, with awesome patterns. You have such valuable information on reptiles, it is so great that you share it. Cindy
I love the video please keep making more videos like this Kevin breaking down genes thank you
I've been hoping for a newbie tutorial on odium. Thank you Kevin and Donny! Wow! What an out-tro Kevin! You really "did a nice"😊
Glad you liked it!
I had to compliment because it took everything Kevin had for the out-tro. Let Kevin walk away after teaching and let Jeremy or Rob do the out-tro.
I'm pretty clueless when it comes to genes,, but that was the best explanation of a gene, especially considering it's something new that you guys are working with that I've ever seen, so thank you
This was very helpful understanding Odium. Thank you.
Loved this video. U guys should do more like this one on other genes
Great video, im new to balls and the morphs so i love these kinda videos.
Most definitely can't wait for them boss covering new genes. My favorite part of the industry the morphs
Love the Videos...could you do a Tour of the Place?
We definitely need more videos like this Great job guys love your videos
I think with that odium and seeing that melted hgw melted animal..your getting close to a dalmatian combo with just speckles all over the animal .alot of people wanting that cow pattern in your retics on the ball pythons ..your the master kev..saying hi from the UK
I was wondering if this was a specific gene in my BP.
Thought she was just a normal.
Wow. Never thought of it as an artform before. Spectacular.
WOW WHAT A PRETTY ONE!!!
7:15
Been waiting forever for this legendary shyt 🤘🏾
Love this one! Do follow you also on twitch. But honestly, the ones from UA-cam are so much more focused on the snakes. Way less distraction the on twitch with the giveaway’s, chat and sayings in between.
Admire the way Kevin think and tries to share his knowledge so it turns into wisdom about genes 🧬🧐.
Love for jeremy and his faces !
Donny you’re doing an awesome job !
We haven't done a stream on youtube in a year, so.. Idk what we are talking about here homie.
@@NewEnglandReptile was talking about the time before you’ve did al live streams @ twitch and took the ones of UA-cam. Nevertheless, both have their charms, just prefer the ones on UA-cam more, because the are more peaceful.
Awesome video 👍👍👍
As usual STUNNING animals every single time. Always look forward to every NERD video.
That odium gene is insane I love it 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You guys F'ing rock! I miss Kevin!
Do more stuff like this with malum and bald too
Hope you all have a great weekend!!
Thank you and you too! K
One of my fav genes! Does alot of cool stuff to other genes
I need to get into more stuff like this
Thanks so much for the Rodent Pro code. It really helps out!
It looks like something showing up in a few snakes Brian is talking about...
Please wear an evil scientist lab coat
Great video. A very unique ball collection 🙌❤
Remember when I almost passed out seeing a Honey Bee for the first time? Now here we are...
jalan jalan ke Indonesia,di sana lebih banyak reptile yang masih belum ada di new England reptile
Some of those colours are beautiful
Hey Kevin and the crew 😁 much love 🖤🤘Loved the vlog !
I got a similar African import. Don't think it's anything but would love for you to look at it.
Kevin you are the best. I love listening to you because you love your animals. You have helped me with my depression. You have woken my love for animals again. I would like ball Python or something that will not get very big.
My animals help me with my lifetime of depression too!!!! K
Love the "magic" if the odium gene!
Thank you Kevin
See that dark scale, third row on the left? That’s my special gene, Odium Nobody but me ever gets to even look . It’s all mine!!!!
Awesome video!!! Can't wait for more !!!!!!!!
NERD RULES!
I like trying to learn about the genes
GHI Odium is dope.
Yes thanks for doing this video
Love the colors
Your set up is beautiful ❤️
How long does it take to get to the colors of the three litter mates you showed closer to the end of the video? I mean getting all of these and finding out which colors to breed together has to take years right?
Many years to get here !!!! K
Do you have a book on the genetics of snakes?
We need a tegu video
hey Kevin, i have a question, what are the possible markings for het Clown stuff? Thanks
It is. It definitive as some don’t show it. Prettier, a back of head pattern to stripe is a good one. That’s a tough one ! K
Hello and greetings from finland :)!!
Wery intresting Gene, that Gene got wery good potential so thanks again evil morf god Kevin
Donny that shit was funny when Kevin was thanking everyone who donated money on twich but that shit looked like you went over it a few times before you recorded it because those sound like your word's forsure
Odium is freaking dope.
Why?? I liked it cause I got to learn about some genes from the guy who made a ton of em make a vid for each gene and I'll watch em all
Request to breeders: is it possible to get a completely yellow snake using sOme either odium, banana, albino, or other gene combination? Like a yellow blue eyed Lucy? Like THATS a snake I want to see
Some Champagne combos are yellow. Albino Spiders (which I don’t agree with breeding) are nearly solid yellow as well. Banana Cinnamon Genetic Stripes are orange as hatchlings as well.
Oh fuck yeah
Beautiful snakes
I love the Odeon green it almost looks like a gold and I love gold beautiful sneks Mommajay 🖤📸🎥
wow... Sidyodthong train shirt.. hahaa...
Did you get the name odium from the stormlight archive series by any chance?
Kieth calms me.
This was very interesting. I love learning things like this so I enjoyed this video for sure.
Love the desert 🌵 ghost 👻
Good video donny
Appreciate it
You're crazy Kevin. You're talking about stuff and pointing out stuff that I can't see...but you're cute so I kept watching
If I don’t own a ball python would I still be part of the community? I got chameleon tho
Yes of course !!!!!!!! K
@@NewEnglandReptile awesome glad to be apart 😄
Super fader? Yet fader was proven to not be a incomplete dom with a super form.
Preach
Lucifer is a line of fire right???
Indeeed!!! K
Is there a super odium
Iikeky buried in combos. K
Ok and nice to meet you
So my question is ????? Is HGW the same as GRANITE ???? He said if he says hgw just throw granite in with it.. Was wondering because i bought a snake thats enchi inferno and the breeder didn't say granite
No, HGW is not the same as granite. Years ago Kev plugged his line of granite into HGW and the genes attached themselves to each other very intensely. There are things to look for (like neck speckling and more noise in the pattern) that show the expression of granite versus a HGW without granite. Over time it seems as if the granite has just gotten dropped from HGW because so often the two are married in an almost inseparable way.
And why can I only like this video once??? Thats a shame
Thank you !!! K
FOR SCIENCE!!
So where is the super form?
It does not exist
super high pitched squeal during this video. ouch.
I love the white eyes
odium is recessive gene?
No its probably not even a co dom
