bhaiya I'm from one of the top colleges of Delhi(IITD,NSIT,DTU) and in 8th semester,placement season toh aapko pta hi h kaisa chal rha h iss saal,kya krna chahiye samajh nhi aa rha,25k wali join krlu kya? off campus toh fill krne k baad hi rejection aa jata h!25k k aare h bt wo other state h like hyderabad,bangalore phir waha ka sochke lgta h ki itne expenses honge waha,kuch bachega hi nhi,wagera wagera.I'm from Delhi.Please guide,I think I'm not alone here
This 3 LPA to 10 LPA with 1 yr experience scenes makes no sense from now. It happened in 2021-22. It will never be like that anytime from now. Present Struggling to get interview calls even with 3 yrs experiece.

You are doing mistakes comparing the job market of 2008 situation of today's AI revolution..and it's impact..its misleading
Some problems in IT is, without btech/mtech students can also apply for tech jobs. Increasing competition.
Anybody can do a course of less than 1lpa and get job of 3lpa+ without needing a 1-2 lpa degree of 4 years costing avg total of 10lakhs adding other costs too.
Course makers are making tons of money but the no. Of people getting jobs is too low.
For one fresher job in one day there were 10k+ applicants applying for only 1-2 seats for less than 100 companies.
Even with skills, projects but without any experience right now getting a job is tough.
Seek for referrals more and more.

All problems always in private sectors, corporates only forever where only certain sections of people's and certain category of employees takes away maximum packages and salaries whereas the rest are underpaid always, while in Government sectors specially Central Government there is no work stress, no special work nothing only increase in DA, Salaries every year all coming from the hard worked private sectors and public money and taxes, why this thing are continuing silently without any changes forever

few years back people used to say
same thing about testers, now automation took most of the manual testing jobs, replacing 2/3 manual tester with 1 automation tester.
there is huge competition now.
companies offering less salaries.
I'm not discouraging anyone but just giving long term perspective.

I have 2 YOE in a support job, and want to resign and upskill for 6-7 months as I dont have good dev skills right now and crack a better opportunity, is this a good option in your opinion, I am aiming to work on DSA + System Design + Development (MERN + Nextjs + little bit of basic Docker, Kubernetes and DevOps).
P.S: I have saving for 6-7 months and my current job is very toxic plus I get no time to study or improve, feel like am stuck since past 2 years with no skills and improvement.
Should I take this leap of faith risk in this atmosphere, would you advise as per your knowledge?
