    I agree with everything he says in the video. I started running ads for my small beauty business and, I was using the traffic campaign thinking that more people I could send to my website would mean more sales but that was not the case at all because people were visiting the website, I’m talking more than 1,000 daily sessions but sales was less than 10. Same with engagement, I would get a lot of inquiries about products on IG when I run engagement campaign but sales was so few and I was burning into my small ad budget. I started running sales campaign and it drastically reduced how much I spend on ads and I have getting a decent amount of sales daily now and even when I don’t get much sales, I know that I’m not wasting money on wrong campaign objectives.

      When u use Sales campaign, do u start with ViewContent conversion? Or did u go straight to Purchase ?

    Hey Ben - how would you apply this to restaurants? Offline attribution is so tricky, would you broadly recommend it happen via opentable/resy (if that's even possible) or just have the restaurant focus on campaigns that build up their social media / do brand awareness, etc?

    I love your videos always Ben, they're always new and I learn something every time. Keep them coming. Whats the difference if I do Traffic for messsaging and Engagement for messsaging? Most of my sales go through messenger so I optimized it this way

Which objective should you use for my Spotify landing page, which also includes my merch store? I need followers and some sales.     If you're prospecting (top of funnel) for a clothing brand (ecommerce business) should you still use 'sales' as the campaign objective to obtain an interested audience and then retarget them later or should you use 'traffic' to build up a potential audience and then run 'sales' as the campaign objective once you have this audience saved and retarget them this way?

    Im a musician running lead objective campaign and send them through my funnel, rarely does anyone purchase any if the offers. Im realising running sales would probably be my best bet, but considering the funnel is email and is weeks long with multiple offers is farming leads my best option?

    Hey Ben, which capaign is best for a cleaning business? I'm in Australia and running a leads campaign, and I will get multiple leads a day even on a $10 budget, but they all don't go anywhere, or perhaps 3/15 leads do. My average job is about $250-$350 (sole trader) and I would like to be doing 10 jobs a week. I think the issue is that my lead forms are just for contact info and don't "qualify" the leads, but I don't know how to qualify them? Help?

    I don't know if anyone else has this option, but under the 'sales' Ad Objective, I have 'Use a catalog' button which when I have on, removes the Pixel and Conversion from the Ad Set page, but when it's off, it has the option for them. Am I meant to set up a pixel or not? Considering the 'use a catalog' button removes this function? :)

    Hi Ben i have a question: I accidentally deleted my good performing Campaign, and created it again but now i cant see any data. I wanted to to da AD+ Campaign with the same Pixel cause i got Many Checkouts and ATC. Since i deleted the testing Campaign and created it again i am afraid now, that my AD+ Campaign will not perform as i expected. Do you know if this has a effect on the AD+ or not cause its the same Pixel and the Data is mainly on the pixel. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

    Hi Ben, I’m have a new jewelry Shopify store that I wanted to send audiences to the website. But when I created a sale ads similar to the lead ads you’ve taught and shared here on UA-cam, Facebook says that it might have 0 conversion for my ad set. I’m wondering if this only happens to new store or is there something I did wrongly for the ad set. Should I go for lead ads too for a new store so that I could create lookalike audience next time?     Question: I run a Online PT service and run ads through engagement. And I specifically target people who are in a “great career” and are slammed with work so much they feel they can’t get in shape.
    Anyways, I been split testing them for sales and engagement and I’ve gotten higher quality leads through engagements(Professors, executive directors, high end real estate business owners, executives for companies) while the sales one barely get any traction.
    I usually use engagement to click to my messenger where I nurture them through messenger to a call for a sale.
    Do you know what going on if your video is correct? Should I keep going? Should I double down on the sales ad(the image and copy are identical for both objective s) even though it’s not even getting me as many leads?

      In your scenario I'd use leads most likely. As I'm guessing you can't track the sale directly?

    Hello Cristian, i have a question. I am service business so my first contact is lead (whatsapp button). Anyway after clients write to ask informations i send them to a link to site to book and buy the service (with purchase event fire). So first step is all time whatsapp and then they follow my link if they are interested and buy service. In this case is ok use purchase event? also if they can't buy directly from the campaign? I have lot of lead but few purchase event becouse the service has high price. Thank you

    Amazing content as always ben I have question can I use 3 campaigns first leads on instant form and second engagement and the extention on messaging apps the other traffic on Instagram account the goals is to take the maximum number from leads and contacts it these campaigns make any overlap because I will target in them the same audience ??what do think about that ben

      Yes you can but I would question the logic. I'd be tempted to test all three and then focus depending on which strategy produces the best results. As opposed to running them alongside each other indefinitely.

      If you can track the sales online and within a 7 day attribution window then sale. If not, I'd got with leads :)

      In that scenario I would use leads and optimize for people filling out the application.

      You'll probably need to use Traffic there, as you won't be able to optimize for that action once people make it to Spotify.

    Do you ever use awareness/reach when you're retargeting? Its the only way to limit impressions and make sure that my audience watches all the ad creatives. I'm not sure if I should do that or just stick to sales... Thanks!

    Re: Campaign objective. If they end up on a landing page where the CTA is to submit a form, is that trackable? Or would where the form is hosted (eg HubSpot embedded form) determine whether or not it's trackable/not third party? Trying to determine if Leads or Traffic makes more sense for use case of a local chiropractor.

      Yes it is - the easiest way is to probably redirect to a thank you page when someone submits the form and then have that thank you page load trigger the conversion event you want to optimise for.

      It doesn't depend on the industry it depends on what strategy you are using. For example if you are going to use the Lead Magnet strategy then you you want to use leads. But for Omnipresent Content you want to use Awareness.

      That really depends on the strategy used. Assuming Omnipresent Content, you'd want to use Awareness. But if you use a different strategy then you absolutely need a different objective.

    Im working on a education and training business, so i wish that is correct for my understanding:
    Leads are for someone who promote services like courses or consultation, like what I am doing.
    Sales are more for product or services that they can use e+commerce, buy the ticket.
    But that is a fun part, I should use sales or leads as I can sell course like that as automation with payment gateway?

      Yes you are broadly correct. The way to determine it is if you can track purchases online. if you can then optimise for that.

    Is it possible to track two conversions at the same time? In the tracking panel, I have a goal that I set in the ad set (Conversion Event), which is a key indicator (sales), however, I would like to check how the ad performs in terms of another conversion - account registration. Both events are properly configured in the pixel, but I don't know how to correlate them with the data from the ads.

      Yes you can track multiple conversions but only optimize for one.

    What performance goal do you prefer when setting up a sales campaign: Maximise number of conversions or Maximise value of conversions? Also, what about for an existing campaign? Do you recommend setting up a Cost per Result goal or a ROAS goal? If so, what would you set the goal: an average of the campaign's 30 days or do you set it higher?

      Maximize value of conversions if you can. Good question :)
      Not usually to be honest. Although we are experimenting more as it seems to be quite hit and miss

    Hey Ben, you missed ar 5.55 missed WhatsApp leads / messaging option as engagement. Even facebook itself encouraging people to use to get more leads through whatsapp. What do you think of it for generating quality leads compared to forms?
    I feel like WhatsApp is a Hybrid between leads and engagement. Do you think using instant form than whatsapp conversations get higher quality leads?

      If its a service, Lead Campaign (Messenger, Instagram, whatsapp conversion) and your only level of optimization would be around Meta collected data and the creatives/copy (Forms or Messages) for similar audiences since you won't have a pixel installed

    Can someone give me suggestions for an idea I have?
    I sell yoga courses locally, I was thinking about making a prospecting campaign where I share some value, and a retargeting one to send people to my website where I offer them a free 15 minute practice if they leave their email.
    So then I will contact them and invite them to classes and events.
    Is this a good strategy?

    I have a an email optin form with a free giveaway and a thank you page where the visitors can click to get to a paid offer. The end goal would be making sales but what would you choose between Leads or Sales?

      Most likely sales. As long as you can generate more than 10 sales in a week. Otherwise I'd optimize for leads instead :)

      To get the most views you want to use engagement. But if you want those people to go on and do anything other than watch the video then you want to use a different campaign objective.

    Advice: NEVER EVER run engagement ads and select the big countries. Your money will go out the window and end up getting 0 likes. (Unless my ad account is shadow banned or whatever, which I doubt it). Engagement ads are a scam and won't always get you results.

    Hey Ben, I have been running two campaigns side by side, a Sales / Purchase campaign, and aa Lead / Website Conversion campaign. I notice that the Purchase optimized campaign gets WAY MORE reach at a much lower CPM, but also produces way less leads. I find it so bizarre that a lead being shown 4x as many times, will produce 4x less lead volume. Does this make sense to you, with what you have seen in your ad accounts as well?

      Yes that’s quite common. It’s simply because some people are far more likely to become leads than others. They cost more to reach because they are more valuable to adverisers

      No definitely not. You'll almost certainly end up paying more per lead with traffic.
