@@marypaez2795 Don't worry! Think most of us know they didn't mean anything by it. A lot of English speaking countries know the multiple uses of the word. Even in its positive usage, it gives off the impression every fan is pretty obsessed and knows everything about the group and is super engaged/enthusiastic. Some fans are just casual about it, not watching all the reality shows and Bombs and listening to every single album. We're not all 'stans', some of us are, that's ok. Think the negative reaction has come from how the media portray us. Even the word 'stan' originated from a negative meaning. Using 'crazy' or not, many outlets paint BTS fans as screaming and obsessed. Much like any of the boyband crazes in recent times, honestly, even if the label doesn't exactly suit BTS. Unlike the boyband crazes that have gone and went that the average music listener will admit are alright now the 'mainstream hype' is gone, BTS are still not really accepted as genuine music in certain circles outside the fanbase. Here's hoping that wide spread appreciation for our guys won't come after they've disbanded.
yeah I know as well Stan is harmless and being from an English-speaking country with major exposure to US popular culture, also not unfamilar with terms usage. I based my take-away on diff observations such as the convo before & after, reaction, body language etc (eg usually if meant in a good way, the person will b engaged to elaborate more tho Stan stayed expressionless and Bryan with his quick retort may not have also thought he meant it in a good way). Of course, def a good thing if my take-away is wrong. Regardless I don't believe there's any malice so for me its nothing major or something to cancel anyone for. Just for discourse, agree that there shd b consideration of the context too, for example the word is used in a fan context and considering the common stereotypes people have regarding Kpop (or BTS) fans esp in the social media realm.. usually lean towards the negative & would frame usage (or intent in using) of 'crazy' in a somewhat different light than the usual.
Hi, I’m a baby Army. .Festa is a week of celebrating their anniversary with fans. They publish surprise content every day. This was the 8th anniversary and it included a full concert streaming online. BTS has recently been bestowed diplomatic status by their President. They’ll be speaking at the UN in a couple of days. These UN speeches make Army very proud. I hope you can catch that, too, just to share in more of the crazy love.
BTS’s ARMY (fans to you) aren’t crazy. We’re passionate. You know who’s crazy. People mostly Men that act like a fool in any sporting events. Now those fools are CRAZY

@@marypaez2795 well said. I’m not in the US, but I would use ‘crazy’ in this context to mean something like way outside normal expectation - definitely not ‘deranged/mad’.
Guys, its ok to be called crazy. It doesn't t mean its a bad thing. Like after BTS donated 1million dollars to Black Lives Matter and ARMY MATCHED that DONATION in 24HOURS. That's a crazy amazing thing! A lot of ARMYS AROUND the WORLD DOING MANY CHARITABLE PROJECTS FOR THE POOR, BLIND AND DISABLED PEOPLE. SO I would call their influence on people and the world, CRAZY POSITIVE AND they are LOVING PEOPLE. The fact that they can promote kindness and self love is amazing. They are humble and very hardworking people who started from the very bottom with almost no financial backing. The 7 of them shared one small room together. There are a few over-obsessed army who get offended over small things that are unnecessary but the majority are good people. RECOMMENDATION: You should checkout BTS interview with Coldplay Chris Martin and their autocomplete interview.
Every year BTS celebrates its debut anniversary with its fans, this celebration is called FESTA, during the celebration of FESTA, they give their fandom free songs and concerts and other types of content. The songs that they sang here are a mixture of songs that are directly dedicated to the fandom and others that are popular within the fandom.
Kind of disappointed to see a number of ARMY's comments showing oversensitivity to the word crazy. I find it a tad unfortunate that this tenor is a focus dominating a number of comments as opposed to critiques of the performance, the idea of FESTA, or even a discussion of the casual yet professional nature of Room. The word crazy has many uses notably including rabidly invested. (I am referring to the definition of rabid which means fanatical support of something and not the one referring to rabies before I also go under attack.) Having crazy fans is a phenomenon to be marveled at. I sure other artists are envious and would love a large base of crazy fans. However, going after reactors who love BTS and have comedic pedigrees to me shows a knee jerk intolerance of people not seeing things identically with one's own view of things. To me this is not a BTS or ARMY value. And to me this fits a different usage of the term crazy. As an ARMY I will say I could put on horse blinders and not see things occurring in the periphery. But because I love and identify in those ARMYs who are steeped in BTS values, the beautiful body of humanity which reflects the decency of BTS, , I will never blind myself or make excuses for miscreants attacking other people. I will simply say those who do not fully understand or ignore the values BTS preaches seem to frequently effect inappropriate attacks. And all too often good ARMYs rather than tamping down loose lips when they are malicious tend to tolerantly make excuses for outlying miscreants.
@@andriancfs8239 Perhaps, but read most of the comments about the word crazy and they are almost all written in excellent English. What I pointed out was there has been a trend this last year of ARMYs to attack human beings disproportionately to any offence they perceive. Many of these people being attacked actually are supportive or even love BTS. They went after James Corden sending him death threats for joking that lots of 15 year old girls wish they were the UN Secretary General because BTS was speaking at the UN. They created a narrative that James Corden was calling all ARMYs 15 year old girls and got upset out of proportion to any offensive aspects of his joke. I remember when ARMY tried to educate and literally were a model fan base. There still are many wonderful ARMYs. But as you can see despite my advocating in my comment how beautiful good ARMYs are, only one person felt it was worthy of a like. And in your case, you are the one person of a reply comment. However, many hundreds gave likes to the comments that were negative to the reactors. They did not all come from non-English speakers. I think as an ARMY whose focus is on promoting and educating people about BTS they are part of a worrisome trend which I commend you heartily for not being part of.
@@andriancfs8239 Your English is fine. If it is a second language congratulations. I sense we do not think all that differently. Any organization of people which grows super large risks changes to how it approaches its mission due to members inside who for whatever reasons tend to get sidetracked. My worries come from watching increased toxicity in many places. When good ARMYs hear the intolerance, rather than them tamping it down by not joining in or speaking out that gripes can be better handled than using intolerance, ARMYs lately are quick to echo bad behaviors because they are the responses of fellow members. The situation reminds me of police who are so good in mission but do not speak up against the bad behaviors within the police force due to being a "fraternal order". And much like Covid, if you don't have everyone committed to beating the original problem, new and potentially worse variants emerge. My love of BTS involves a love and respect for all ARMY has done to help the boys through quite a few obstacles and for their role in making BTS a world wide phenomenon. I am aware of many of the reasons for growing intolerance and oversensitivity to small things within the base. I believe some of those involve a degree of subconscious acting out due to the changing of our lives (and perhaps BTS's front and center worldwide touring) due to the pandemic. People these days are so hypersensitive you can't even get on an airplane feeling assured a passenger won't get crazy. So I have some sympathy for the human condition, but also know if a my way or the highway attitude keeps growing, ARMY will move further and further away from the valuable ideals BTS has given and keeps giving all of us. If it does ARMY risks being an organization only using BTS as a pretext and well may become increasingly about fulfilling its members peculiar needs for power based on where they want the thrill of exercising it. Did people actually attack these guys like they did James Corden or the Indian interviewer? No. But B & S Shows is a well known BTS loving channel based on quite a few reactions over a long stretch of time. They have heaped countless praises on the boys. So the fact that they got such a vociferous clean up your act treatment was disturbing to me. I have seen many quality reactors who genuinely were amazed by BTS give final BTS reactions saying the hate comments were beyond their expectations. Others who I enjoyed simply stopped covering BTS cold turkey without explanation. Big Hit has allowed reactors to use their material over the years as by doing so reactors largely have grown the BTS brand. So to watch ARMY go after these reactors for little things to me goes against Big Hit's allowing free speech and BTS's avocation to speak yourself. It is ARMY distancing itself into a separate entity whose mission may gradually be becoming less and less connected to that of the boys.
Wait till you see them dance. Their choreographies are insane! Please react to "Black Swan" and "ON Kinetic Manifesto Film: Come Prima" if you haven't yet
I mean if you want to people watch and support your content you should keep an open mind and accept the fact that our fandom has multiple kinds of people, age, gender, etc. if you really want to people stay and subscribe maybe you should take one step and leave stereotypes a sides. I'm not saying this in any negative light, I'm just warning you guys, we are all good if you like or not their music, and i enjoy watching people give opinions and listening to BTS without any bad intentions. I know in our fandom there's really shitty people, but let's not generalize and spread this stereotype.

*Festa is BTS's Anniversary Celebration of their debut (6/12/2013), so this was their 8th year celebration, hence the reason there was an 8.* They celebrate once a year with their fans and they usually have a MUSTER to go with the celebration and to be able to perform and talk with fans. This year they did the Muster - Mikrokosmos or Sowoozoo in Korean - live at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul, Korea, and they live streamed and had some fans on monitors in the audience (COVID protocols, so no live in person fans). Great to see another BTS reaction and as someone who followed your BTS reactions and nothing but positive about it (have seen other positive fans on the channel too), it makes me sad to be described as crazy.. as the way it's expressed suggest it's not meant in a good way nor any clarification thereafter like oh I mean crazy passionate as would be a more common scenario. I understand it's just a word nothing major, can be used both ways & even if meant negatively, it's still an/ur opinion. Just that having been watching ur BTS reactions from the start, I'm invested & care about u guys and thus your reaction & opinions, emotionally I do feel sad and maybe a tad hurt that such a generalisation is made seemingly discounting/dismissing what I'm passionate about despite myself & many others being positive fans not engaged in toxicity. Add-on: Yes I do know how the word is usually used in the US. My take-away is based on a number of observations elaborated upon in another comment thread.
I does look like they mean to say we are crazy enthusiastic or passionate. US people (as you would see in the comments) would not take offense because we know how the word crazy is more commonly used here but ARMY outside US would probably react negatively.
For sure, as an American ARMY as I came down to the comments to read some good wholesome love letters to BTS and was confused as to what anyone was talking about. Found someone with a time stamp and I’ll tell you it would never even have occurred to me to think they meant crazy as in not sane. Just never would have occurred to me. I really was confused. Crazy meaning an ardent enthusiast or lover of has been a slang for at least thirty years.
@@toanzhou i think that (specially for a woman) the word crazy even if used as synonymous to passionate may sound a little condescending... i really don't like this word when referring to the way i choose to engage in my hobbies.
@@anaclgarcez Oh, yes. After seeing the comments on this topic here, I now know people who feel this way are not at all alone. No matter the gender, any word that has consistently had a bad connotation to it and is directed at another will always leave a bad impression. I think it’s really nice when someone warns me when I say something that might not be friendly in other places, but I also think it’s nice to know why people say things that I don’t think are friendly. That’s why I commented, really. It is interesting though- because the way I use the word really seems just about opposite of the first definition. Never really thought about it before, but it’s almost like the British using the word wicked to mean something really good, huh? Maybe it’s just because people where I come from really don’t call other people or their pursuits crazy like that that I don’t really have a bad feeling with the use of the word. Heard it in songs or read it sure, and probably seen it in movies. Just never really heard it used meanly or patronizingly my in real life that I can ever remember (says the woman with a horrible memory). Anyway, thanks for explaining the way it feels when you hear it, that was very interesting to me and gave me a lot to ponder on. 💜

@@jerseybultaoreune6107 Sorry for my flowery language 😂 💜
yeah I know as well Stan is harmless and being from an English-speaking country with major exposure to US popular culture, also not unfamilar with terms usage.

The 8 it’s for they anniversary and turns in to the infinity symbol 😍💜
Hi, I’m a baby Army. .Festa is a week of celebrating their anniversary with fans. They publish surprise content every day. This was the 8th anniversary and it included a full concert streaming online. BTS has recently been bestowed diplomatic status by their President. They’ll be speaking at the UN in a couple of days. These UN speeches make Army very proud. I hope you can catch that, too, just to share in more of the crazy love.
If you want to see the full performance of UGHH there's clips uploaded by fans on YT. You might like it! And thank you for reacting to BTS again!
yes our BTS is pretty awesome!!!!
This performance was fabulous and shows how much personality they have!
Guys I can't hear your voices at all during the reaction!
BTS’s ARMY (fans to you) aren’t crazy. We’re passionate. You know who’s crazy. People mostly Men that act like a fool in any sporting events. Now those fools are CRAZY
ARMY outside US, let’s not take the word crazy out of context again. When the reactor is from the US, please do not get triggered too easily when they use the word crazy. @@marypaez2795 well said. I’m not in the US, but I would use ‘crazy’ in this context to mean something like way outside normal expectation - definitely not ‘deranged/mad’.
I like the reactions to BTS💞
I missed your bts reactions! Love you guys

BTS Celebrating 8 Years Together 💜Happy Anniversary BTS 💜
I’m an Army and I am crazy…..crazy In love with these 7 men. It’s all good. You guys are nice - keep going. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Most of know you meant can crazy in a good way, like Brian said, Stan you're crazy too, love you guys and your crazy hilarious sense of humor 😁💜💜🎶💜💜

Aloha from Hawaii. So flex. Get ear phones guys

Hola, me encantan sus reacciones a BTS. Gracias.

Army in the area 🙋🏻♀️🥰💜🇧🇷
Wait till you see them dance. Their choreographies are insane! Please react to "Black Swan" and "ON Kinetic Manifesto Film: Come Prima" if you haven't yet
They've reacted to a lot BTS so they know they can dance.
@@crystalsnow1138 OK cool!
I think they meant that we are amazing or something, not actually crazy
FESTA is like a tradition...this is their way of celebrating their "BIRTHDAY" (anniversary) with BTS ARMY..😊

In response to your wish to know what they were saying, *I am including here a BangTan Subs version* of this, if you want to re-watch it on your own time. The lyrics on this version are more accurate as well.

Hi guys have you checked out Bts cover off I Be Missing You and Fix You. The are also collabing whid Coldplay
Very nicely said. 💜
Oh tae said "lets meet the greatest rappers of bts" when they're about to rap i guess

what do you mean CRAZY? please elaborate.... Loving and supporting artists who are extremely talented, whose lyrics & music connect to so many people and still are humble human beings, am i crazy? theyve helped me in my darkest times and i am crazy? okay. 🤷♀️

Is it really a reaction if we can't hear your comments?
Calling us crazy is already a terrible way to start. You don’t know a single one of us personally first of all and you are basing it off of whatever rumor you’ve heard. There is a half of every fandom that is toxic and crazy. But I’m sure you don’t even know why people say we are crazy. You just roll with it cuz ARMY is a big fan base.
They meant it in a passionate way
Was disappointed to hear you think all BTS fans are crazy. With a fan base this massive you may have the occasional person say something negative. Everything BTS stand for is positive and for the most part Army is positive, helpful and supportive to others. I'm curious to know, please explain in your next BTS reaction what you have personally experienced to make you feel this way. I'm a 57 year old female, none crazy BTS Army.
"Their fans are crazy". Bye.
yeah, it'd be crazy to take one lighthearted statement as a personal insult
