Have you ever tried placing electric fence in a " W " form rather then straight ? Every other post....or ever second post in and out in and out. This way every other post gives you slack to move the wire further down line. And you dont need to roll up the wires. Just move posts. The " W " can be extreme or gentle. I seldom roll up wires.

How many cows? How big are you paddocks? The grass *looks* mono-culture. What are the varieties?
