  • Come on in the kitchen while I peel some peaches, then, can them in a water bath for use later on! Putting good stuff in my pantry! The process is fast and easy! Oh....and ....delicious!!!

    Glad we are utube friends. ❤️. Another tip on peeling peaches or tomatoes before canning is to freeze then put under running water and the skin just falls off.

    Clear gel and Sure jel are two different products. Not to be used interchangeably.

    Thanks again Gay. I am going to be doing this today...but peaches are so expensive now where I am, 1.79 a pound, so I will be using canned peaches and dumping out the syrup. A number six can of those are about 6 or 7 dollars now. I am going to triple this because I make puff pastry turnovers. Or...I may just mix up the apple slices and the peaches half and half for a new taste combo. I love how you show the recipe card at the end and I will just be tripling your recipe. My clear jel arrived yesterday (cook type). Never heard of it before. Thanks again!

      Copper Penny Crew If you use clear jell....leave an inch of headspace. It expands in the process. I somehow edited that out of the video. Mine turned out so pretty! 😀😀

    You didn't explain not overfill the jar because clear gel expands when canned and can pop the lids off a jar in the canner and you could see that very well by your jars. Pauls rule of thumb explains that very well when he canned up pie filling.

      Brenda Rigdon's Brens Den. Yes. (I had mentioned that but somehow it was edited out and i didn’t realize that. Fresh fruit has air also when put in raw. . ) I left an inch of headspace.

      All of my jars sealed perfectly. When I took the rings off...they are perfeclty sealed....no buckling at all. I bought more peaches and will make one ore cooking. It is delicious!!!!

      @@ApronstringsGayJordan My husband is a Georgia loves pickled peaches and boy when you can find them they are expensive so i pickle some now and then for him.

      Johnson Family Vids & Vlogs it’s a powder like sure jell. When you use it you need to allow extra headspace. It will expand as it processes. I left at least a inch of headspace My first time using it.

      Johnson Family Vids & Vlogs Clear gel (cook type) is a thickening agent that replaces cornstarch, since cornstarch is not approved for canning.

      It is called the trio set trio peeler. If it works....here is a link to the amazon page There are many brands...it is the way you hold it...so easy...the black one peels potatoes, carrots....anything.
