Iroquois Round Dance / Standing Quiver

The Iroquois Round Dance is a dance performed at the beginning of Longhouse and at social gatherings, this one I believe to be the Standing Quiver. This song is to call on all the men in the village, to prepare to go away to hunt or war. This one was filmed and performed by lead singer & drummer Jordan Smith from the Bear Clan @ The 170th Tuscarora Nation Annual Picnic @ the Tuscarora Reservation, in Sanborn, NY, USA.
The round dance shown here is an Iroquois standing quiver, which is a social dance, which can be done both inside and outside the traditional longhouse.

In my understanding, this is not a round dance, it's a unity stomp dance. Though similar ideas of uniting in friendship. It is done as you said at the beginning of each social gathering in which dancing is done. It is not always the first Longhouse ceremonial song though.

So that's a little hard to tell, but it's holding hands in a circle men and women together, sometimes men on the outside and women on the inside going in opposite directions depends on where you are.

It could be a standing quiver though...sometimes I get those two mixed up. They're both stomp style dances.

@@Grimey8lues3x I know I've got kin up there on a line that comes from the north . Moytoy , which I believe is not actually a name but a title and then cornstalk. I have an ancestor. Sarah cornstalk . Half mohawk and half " other " ( tribe unknown ) these come south and start marrying tuscarora folks.

Thanks for your comment, and if u r right, i appreciate it even more. Bu I believe in a "Snake Dance" I believe they change direction no? And this is a type of "Round Dance" although I am not sure which one.And I am quite sure "Round Dances" r the only dances u will see both men and women dance together in at social gathering which r performed for or in front of non natives as well...
Somebody else said this was a "Unity" or "Stomp Dance" and another said "Standing Quiver" so who knows who's right? But I would like to, so I am grateful and thankful for all the input i receive.
And when u say Southern Agreements, do u mean from the friends of the haudenosaunee, the Seminole?
