I'm noticing lots of people misunderstanding or simply not getting why people think that Smosh has gotten worse now. I share this opinion with the others and I find it a bit of offensive how people think we are just people stuck in the past. I'm going to try to explain my opinion to others and I hope you can share your nicely in the comments.
So the first reason I think they have gotten worse is the the new cast. Now I'm not saying there is anything bad about them to say and I'm sure they are very nice people but they have changed Smosh. So let me give a little backstory. When I watched Smosh way back then I came to watch them for two reasons, one is the comedy, and two the Ian and Anthony. These two factors made the arguably the funniest channel on UA-cam for a while. Today I can't help but notice they are slowly moving back in the video sharing the space with lets say 4 others. Once again, I'm sure these people are lovely people. But when this started to happen ! of 2 factors started to leave Smosh. Looking back on this channel now I came to realize something while watching some of their older videos; even if the old jokes from Smosh came out of the new cast mouths it wouldn't be the same. Ian and Anthony's relationship really made Smosh into a popular channel. Just looking at comments people are craving for the days where Ian and Anthony were in the spotlight and not sharing it with many, many others. I mean if you are reading this new cast I'm sorry new cast but I don't even know any of your names! I feel in your videos you are just trying to replicate what Ian and Anthony created. And in my opinion I feel that there is no way in hell that this is possible. I have no problems with you making videos but maybe try to get your personalities out there, otherwise you will cause people to leave Smosh due to your lack of originality. Now that may not sound to bad for what a 21 million sub channel but I assure you this won't last if this format does.
My second reason Smosh has gotten worse is something less obvious. Smosh I know this will sound SO SO SO stupid but I need to tell you this. I think you are using to much money. Now I was reading a interesting article by what I assume to be a blogger about how they think that more money leads to less creativity. Thinking about this I agree. Looking at Hollywood you can see how certain companies use less creativity when they think they have a formula that makes money. I mean when had a marvel movie these days get to the originality that was the first Avengers. I feel this situation is happening to you. Looking back on your channel once again when you had less subscribers some of your best ideas came out of the time that you are continuing to this day. I have plenty of examples like If ___ were real, food battles, and my favorite one of your videos ever the high school song that you did! Looking at your channel now I see almost no ideas that I have not seen before. I feel now that you have such great successful series before you are milking them dry now. I feel that the money has gotten to you and I think the only way to stop this is to stop relying on your money for videos. Instead of green screens use Ian's mother kitchen, instead of special computer effects, your practical. Some could argue its not the money that's the problem its how your using it. But I feel now that you rely on this money now in your videos I think maybe you should save it instead and think how to do stuff with less use of money.
I hope you could understand what I'm saying. I'm not a smosh hater in fact I love them they were one of my favorite channels. Once again share your comments below if you have any questions please comment below I would love to hear what you say!

I love Smosh, but I think the money has gotten to their heads. They are in their videos, but look at Every Teacher Ever, neither were in that video, not even a SCENE.

Smosh stopped being funny forever ago. Their early stuff was good even when i grew out of it, but now all their stuff is the same. All-caps titles, pricey editting, and an endless stream of bad videos from multiple channels. How they're still keeping fans around i do not know
