Loved that you shared this. I related a lot to your driving strategy, especially the nature hikes both Lyft and Uber throw at me. I will use the area filter with Lyft whenever there is a concert or game at Golden One and stay away from that area knowing there is heavy traffic leaving these events. Instead I work more midtown and get short fares with surge so that I stay nearby and take advantage of the surges. Ended up being nearly a $67 night in just under an hour and a half last night when Pearl Jam was in town. My last ride was a destination ride back to Citrus Heights where I live.
