When the galley aft window opened upwards, am I the only one who thought it sounded like a classic “Doom” pc game door sound opening effect?

Thanks Nick, fab video and comparison. I am looking for a boat between 45 and 52 feet and the Sealine F430 or C430 for that matter, both at 45 feet, fit very well into this category and provide good accommodation, good quality and seemingly good value. I think however that the designers have made a couple of fundamental errors a) the lower swivel helmsman seat arrangement is a disaster, its clunky, difficult to transition from one orientation to the other (only got to view a few 'Non Aquaholic' videos to confirm this) seems a stretch to reach the engine throttles and is wasteful on space. The helm seating arrangement should be fixed facing forward, like just about every other manufacturer and adjustable for height, fore and aft. The space behind should either be a permanent couples sofa to match the facing arrangement, best case scenario, or an extension of cabinetry opposite the galley although I believe the latter might an option. As it stands it looks ridiculous and detracts from the obvious advantages of this boat b) When viewed from aft at fly bridge level and with the optional wet bar fitted it looks a dog’s breakfast. You see the back of the wet bar, probably white, a panel supporting the seat arrangement, probably white, and the back of the seating in whatever colour the customer chooses. It is almost acceptable with no wet bar with its stainless-steel U-shaped rail and glass panels. Come on Sealine, sharpen your pencils as your yachts are good and desirable. You have few competitors with flybridge at 45 feet.

I fully agree. The living part of the boat has been designed very very well: galley is best in class, decent 3 cabin option for a 43ft boat, good design, fair price.
However the driving aspect seems to be done absolutely terrible. The flybridge seems terribly executed, the central console with the MFD is blocking the view forward, throttles are too far away and they are on the wrong side (!!!)... that has to the worst idea I've ever seen. Such a shame really, has a lot of potential but looks like a pain to maneuver.
Edit: The fact that there is no permanent sofa is to me personally a good thing, I just never find myself needing to use one when on such a boat.

Yes, looks like poor ergonomics at the lower helm, Nick had to reach for the throttles and his back was quite rounded as he leaned forward to see out. Presumably if the seat was closer the view out would be worse?

I´ve noticed this on many other reviews as well. Many boats seem to assume that you are just going to motor along in a straight line only touching the controls occasionally. For me, not being able to comfortably reach throttle and steering would be an absolute "no-go" (unless perhaps an a trawler) no matter how good the rest of the boat is.

Seating is too far from the helm if you'rethe type that prefers to sit whilst steering a vessel . . We that watch such reviews more often see the flaws .. where'as those reviewing .. tend more often tend to street clear of being negative why . Surely the whole point of reviewing boats is to be HONEST not shy away from being Negative as well . As with many Boat review channels they always pander builders in order to keep the freebies coming .

To be honest, i u think about the usecase its completly fine. If u are in an area where you change speed often and steer much u just move your butt a little further up. You can reach all things u need nicely now. If u settle on a speed in more open water u can sit all the way back and chill. No need to reach the throttle in this case. You also would lose the space to the door.

I was wondering why Nick was having to reach such a long way to the throttles, but then, I guess, if they were making a swivelling helm seat, they couldn't power it up well!
Surely, they could've put the motors in the seat base though?

One easy solution could be to put the throttles and steering on a slide-out console so you could adjust them to your own taste. On a boat this size the additional cost of that would be negligible.

American slang is often difficult to understand, but if you speak fast enough to even eat a few words, it is impossible for those who do not know English very well. The gentleman speaks so fast, that he is even frothing at the mouth.
Probably is a very experienced person, but I'll still find another channel, otherwise it is useless
