Sir my spouse has familial polyposis disease which is life threatening. Our health is completely good to have a normal pregnancy. But we want to prevent the disease to get transferred in next generation. And we have decided to go with IVF and PGD. Will it be effective in our case. Hi Doctor . Thanks for this wonderful explanation. My doctor suggested PGTA testing for my three embryos as I was in the higher Side of age .Age 40.I had 12 eggs out of which 8 were fertilized.3 went to blastocyst stage with grades 4AA 3AA 2AA .Once PGTA test result came they told my embryos were abnormal and discarded all of them.Somewhere still I feel this test result is not correct and I lost my three precious good blastocyst embryos. I am very depressed

As long as you have the genetic probes to test for this, your baby will not have this disease

Gilbert syndrome has no serious medical consequences, which is why it's not a good idea to do PGT for this

Yes- but these tests have major limitations. We can't test for everything !
