Love these videos and I think a video kind of like roadkill's junkyard gold walking through a good junkyard (if you can find one) and talking about a few cars would be sick
That shell isn't worth a dime for restore without a title, you can get a title but it will be a lot more work than worth, if it had a title and serial plate that actually represents it as a true ss it's still only worth about $500 considering it would take at least $32000 to restore it, maybe more
Sometimes ya gotta know wen to say wen,do u have a cars finished? Or a bunch or projects going at once? Love to see some of your finished projects bud. Please
Never question you as you have been around these Camaros so much that I would suggest who possibly knows the value better then you. However at 4500 bucks it shows you that buying an already restored car is by far the more economical way to go. 😊
This is a topic I will always want to hear advice about. Always wondering a cars potential value. I know what I would pay, depending on performance additions and how rare it is.(and mostly do I really want this car ,period)Just good to hear opinions and looking forward to more!
I'm horrible at giving something a price or value. Everything else is easy. But I can't figure out a price for anything. Probably because I'm cheap and I know how to fix things. So I think everything is overpriced
Another interesting video. But if basket case cars are going for that kind of money, what do completely restored non matching number cars go for? 90% of the cars I see on the road are up badged. Lots of clones or tribute cars. SS/RS, RS/Z Yenko, Most engines have been swapped out years ago. Thanks Parker. 🍻 🇨🇦
Those seats do not sell for 400 each, set yes, I have a set, and Restored lots of cars, and now people have taken away from the average man and son to work on a car, together, and made it in to a rich mans money maker, So sad, Love of Money, That,s whats wrong with todays,Society. Selfeshness
God brother you are correct over the years I gathered some kick ass cars for me an my son an after he got married his wife sold them truly made me hate her guts
I really like your videos, so I believe you will appreciate helpful hints... that's an "A" pillar, but I'm sure you already knew that. Just trying to help, LoL.
I was thinking 3,500. I didn't like the sound of that frame rail - you may find more work than first glance shows. Auctions will put stars in peoples eyes - it's all about who they get to show up. Rich people who hate each other "winning" = $$$. Also, we are peak market: maybe there's 5 years left to turn a project and not get burned?
Ok to be clear all camaro’s had 2 holes for dual exhaust but if it actually got dual exhaust there would of been a steel plate welded to the frame rail over those 2 holes not bolted I didn’t see a plate so something is wrong x-55 is SS but the frame rail says no now your other video with the z-28 has that plate , anyway great videos keep up the good work !
Your right about the plate, but when he says "Bolted" mabe he's talking about the Hanger that BOLTS to the plate for dual exhaust? The factory bolted a hanger hook to that hanger plate, and had a rubber grommet on the hook that the dual exhaust hanger slid into.
I recently drug home a x55 69 myself. Has incorrect engine but otherwise complete and all there. 12bolt, disk brakes, etc. Its complete but rusty. Firewall, frame rails, subframe, rockers are solid but otherwise needs lots of love. I have a short video on my channel if u want to check it out. What do you think mine is worth? Clear title in my name.
You gotta tell me where you find all these cheap 69 Camaro’s because everytime I look for one it looks exactly as that one did & they always want $9000 or more.
When you say 1243 your wrong. 1 is chevy 2 is camaro 3 and 4 are the engine "3 for 6 cylinder 4 is v8. The 3 you keep saying is fore coup "37" and "67" is for convertible. Go to Camaro Research Group it explains it.
I am not wrong lol you just look at the vin differently than i do.. when i see a 33 (which is just easier to see.. then its 6 cly car) if i see a 43 then its a v8..
Unfortunately in todays market someone will pay that which further ruins the market. Hard to find a project car these days that the average Joe can afford. You sand blast this car and are going to end up with Swiss cheese. About the only thing you won’t have to replace is the a pillars. For $4500 non matching numbers not title and probably 10-15k to get the car back solid metal might as well just buy one of the reproductions from dynacorn or realdealsteal just my opinion though. I wish I could find all these cars around my area that you find. Keep up the videos I do enjoy them!
I don't understand why it would be different if It was a v8 or v6 car. It would be close to the same value if it didn't have all of the original stuff.
Good video...definitely a need for a channel like yours as folks chase their dreams....If that car had a title...no reason you could not ask $10K USD and get close to that...an orange X55 car is worth "money"...even in pounded condition...I believe prices will continue to climb for the next decade and beyond as guys like me (50) and younger folks chase our dreams.
I'm not saying that you're wrong, but i don't understand why everyone is calling a "combustion engine" a motor?. Google has sense changed the definition of an engine/motor to be the same, but an "engine" is powered by combustion and a "motor" is powered by electricity.
@Backyard Barn Finds The poor soul who bought it is now regrets it and is trying to find the next victim to sell it to... as a person who restore cars, no shop would touch that without 20k down and 40k more on basic restoration. Or do it cheap yourself for 35k
Absolutely disagree with valuation on that body. As an avid enthusiast and restorer we need to acknowledge that there a mulftiple target markets for these cars. Would a dreamer pay that? Of course a dreamer would. But they also wouldd take 15 years restoring it as well. That car as it sits especially with the added hassle of having to get titlework, is at best 2k to 2500. 69 camaros while highly desirable just as any desirable classic attract a small number of foolish fanatics which drive market prices up. Just my .02 cents
With all due respect you are out of your mind...........minus drive train, the only way you even get anywhere near that price is if it was an L78 originally........yea its an SS but thats all you can say. 1500 would be even hard to swallow............but given the idiocy in todays market...........
the auction is not the real world. anybody can be a Camaro expert with google. this guy is out of his mind.that basketcase isnt worth $50 he's still got it because no moron would give 5 grand for that junk. redoing that car would be financially dumb.

I 'm thinking about buying this Camaro my friend has it now .
What is your opinion on the reproduction complete body vs fixing up an original that is in similar shape minus the ss350 factor as in plain jane
Very informative
Do you have anyone to recommend for a Camaro restoration? Thank you.

Not in my world and i love 1st gen camaros. Like your channel though.
I'm in NY and I would have to guess it would cost $200k- $ $300k to have a shop restore that car. Am I correct?
Swap the tags to a dynacorn new body and your good to go!
And when it's done it's worth 50k
Hey Backyard Barn Finds!, I would say on the 69 SS Camaro, $4,000!, no more than $4,500 (no engine and tranny) with the title.
Make a video of a 1990 454ss truck
Have to find one that’s been sitting awhile.. lol
5000 for that heap, where are you
selling this stuff at those prices? I'm gonna keep an eye out for garbage if it's worth so much lol
Gotta ask if it was a factory BIG BLOCK car in exact same Circumstances how much would it have been worth than ?
They would have to pay me 1,500.00 to haul it to scrap yard after I took the seats out for eBay

omg, 800 for rusty bucket seats and rotted tracks? wanna buy some?
Maybe 2000 dollars!! Or less!!😮😮
$100K to restore it and it's worth $50k
If you going to restore a car that's a rusty shell , price out all the missing parts before buying it.

These days all they do is cut off the VIN and make another car out of fiberglass.
