Thanks guys... more to consume and digest. I would like to suggest that you give us some updates as things progress on how effective this new trade deal (the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement) will be in prying open the domestic markets to foreign agricultural products. For as long as I can remember - the agricultural interests of Japan have been able to exert an incredible amount of influence over domestic market access.

I'm surprised that you haven't a video of the Japanese Public Service Agency (公安調査庁) yet

wouldn't it be beneficial for labour unions in Japan to do industry wide mergers they would gain more bargaining power, no?

Wow, so interesting ! I wish I knew more about Japan's special policy process ! Labor (company) unions in Japan: they're useless !

Thanks Mathew ! We, from experience, share your perspective. Labor unions do so little to protect the workers...

Why are the unions siding with the DPP rather than the CDP?

Probably because the DPP is the DPJ's official successor. Still, Rengo is going to support candidates from both the DPP and the CDP in this year's House of Councillors election.

because CDP is closer to Japanese communist party than DPP does.
      Union is anti communist
