Absolutely! The original version is much more powerful... told more as a personal single voice in the madness that was the 30 Years War. I can only imagine what it felt like to actually be at that live show.
First and foremost: Welcome to the Sabaton Army. This is a very powerful song and if you recognized the voice singing the aria in the end credits then that's not strange since it's Floor Jansen from Nightwish. How did they get her to sing? Well she's married to the drummer of Sabaton, Hannes van Dahl, who's the blond guy you see in the start of the video. Sabaton and Nightwish also have a close relationship in that Sabatons lead guitarist, Tommy Johansson, have helped arrange many of Nightwishs songs. Tommy is the one playing the acoustic "electric" guitar in the video. For future recommendations the first one you ought to react to is "En livstid i krig" - the Gothenburg concert. It's in swedish but there are captions in english available. This is the best version of it and it's also very powerful, plus this is live and their audience interaction and participation is out of this world. Other suggestions after that are "No bullets fly", "Defence of Moscow", "82nd all the way", "Swedish pagans", "Devil Dogs" and "Bismark" to name a few. Sabaton does have a war theme and they portray the events they sing about as accurate as possible, they don't glorify anything, they don't shy away from making song about horrible events and every song is a history lesson. They also have their own history channel, Sabaton History, where they work together with a historian to tell the full history behind the songs they sing. I also want to give a shout out to Tommy Johansson, their guitarist I mentioned above. He's got his own channel where he makes covers and he also has a pet project where he mix the music from Disney songs with the lyrics from Sabaton. He's also got his own band, Majestica, where he's the lead singer. If you want to check out Majestica I recommend the song "Above the sky", it's pretty much a showcase how good the band members are, but the one song you must listen to if you do check out Tommy is his version of "You raise me up", he did that song while challenging himself to do it one octave higher than the song normally is set and he nails it. Hope to see you react more to Sabaton, and Tommy, in the future - you have a wonderful ride ahead of you.
@@Fmanzo10 Sabaton army is what the fans calls themselves, you could say that every song is a history class on it's own and the Sabaton History channel, where the historical facts behind the songs are explained by historians could technically be the Sabaton U. So, in short, all of the above.
I fully understand your emotional reaction. After the first time I watched the video I felt like crawling out of a movie theatre after a three hour long Steven Spielberg blockbuster movie...And btw - this is OUR ALL new favourite Christmas song! 🙂
Welcome to sabaton. Now you only got 20 years to dive into. If you already upset 15 seconds in, you will probably break down in the end of the song. Great reaction pal
One of the reasons this has such an impacted is the story is actual history. The solders did stop fighting for a moment at Christmas. You did notice the carving of 2021. This gesture is meant to compel us to call a truce in the present. I think this is why it will last as a work of art.
Usually don't write a lot of comments, but I think this reaction deserves one. Could really sense your emotions and it made my day even though I'm not able to be nearly as empathic as you are. Still, it warms my heart to see you really appreciate the message Sabaton tells with this song and the humanity that went along with it.
This epic song was filmed in my country in August 2021 and Floor at the end sounds heavenly 🤗😍🎩🤯 Sabaton and Nightwish are very popular in Czech Republic 🇨🇿🙏
Thanks for an amazing reaction. My heart got warm when I see your honest emotions. You definitely have a new subscriber in me. Much love, from Sweden❤️
This is a true story from World War I. It actually happened. A powerful story about humanity in the worst conditions. No need to apologize my friend. The opening piano line is a play on the famous Christmas song, "Carol of the Bells". Sabaton is a Swedish band. it has a very anthemic vibe to the chorus. I could hear this being sung is an Irish pub during Christmas with beer flowing all around. This video production is more like a short movie. Did you recognize Floor's amazing vocal parts over the end? No wonder it brought you to tears. She can do that to all of us. Loved it Nat! 🔥🔥🔥
I want to welcome you to the Sabaton Army and since your adding Sabaton to your regular reactions i want to recommend reacting to No Bullets Fly (Animated Story Video).
You're not the first who tear up when watching this, I cried like a baby... it's very emotional. Sabaton is a Swedish metal band with lyrics of war history. This song is from their 10th album, and the whole album is base on WW1. Next, watch The unkillable soldier, it's funny
This is my new Christmas favorite as well. I can't listen without being overwhelmed by the poignancy, power and the beauty of it. Sabaton are simply amazing. Guitarist Tommy Johansson himself is not only a great guitarist but is an ASTOUNDING singer and has a UA-cam channel where he mashes up Sabaton songs with Disney songs to create... Disneyton! May I recommend both the Sabaton song, "Swedish Pagans" and Tommy's Disney version which marries the Sabaton song's lyrics to Disney's, "I can go the Distance'' from Hercules.😊
the "white noise" yeh represents the ringin of hannes van dahl's ears from the concussion from the blast also the beginnin piano be carol of the bells yeh joakim broden hard rolls his R's and it be hella sexy the fella writtin in the journal be the bass player par sundstrom and the fella that threw the granade be the lead guitarist tommy johanssen and the fella that was lookin at the picture of the woman and lil girl be the rhythem guitarist chris rorland they be from fauln sweden also never be sorry for lettin the visuals or the music get to ya
Great reaction! 🤘 I'm actually glad that you don't appreciate regular Christmas music... I've got something new for you... 😁 The guitar (solo) guy in this music video, Tommy Johansson, is lead singer of Majestica. He's got an amazing voice!! In 2020 Majestica released a Christmas album based upon "A Christmas Carol" by C. Dickens. (And an extended version in 2021). It's a mix of symphonic metal and power metal. I highly recommend the official music videos for "Joy of Christmas" and "Ghost of Marley". Lyric video for "Ghost of Christmas past" and official art video for "Glory of Christmas". I guarantee that you'll have a new Christmas playlist for the next Christmas! 😄🤘 And please, react to more Sabaton! My favourite band! 🤘😀 Greetings from Sweden! 🇸🇪
Grandgrandpa here. This is the Ware 1914 Germans again England, Schottland and French. My Grandpa was here.I am German. This is a true Story. In Soccer Germany won 3:2. Watch the Ending. Floor Jansen sing. The Drummer from Sabaton is her Husband.
Some songs i think u will love Sabaton - En livstid i krig (live from Gothenborg) Tommy Johansson - You raise me up ( one octave challange ) Chris Kläfford - cold at the altar Bear Mountain Park - Anodyne Silent Skies - Taper
Hi there! New subscriber! I loved your reaction to this magnificent song. They are a phenomenal band with a unique sound. You might like the song "Afterlife" by Ad Infinitum featuring Nils Molin of Dynazty.
Sorry, but you need to listen to the music rather natter on every few seconds, giving your opinion . Maybe it's your style but to me, esp on such a magnificent performance as this is ; which should IMHO be recognised professionally ie Grammy etc. You do recognise the production quality, but sorry mate, I'm not into your style. If it makes you weep then so be it, no one will think less of you.
the thing is, that almost every reactor on youtube does it to avoid having copyright claims on the video. In general, you don't have to worry about that happening with sabaton's song since they encourage this like this.
I’m not much of a crier but the piano getting blown up makes me tear up every time
May I recommend you another one? En livstid i krig live version, with subs because its in swedish. You will understand why.
The live version of En livstid i krig from Goteborg is amazing!
I was at that show in Gothenburg and I can only agree with you.
Absolutely! The original version is much more powerful... told more as a personal single voice in the madness that was the 30 Years War.

Is it Saboton army or Sabaton class or university???

Floor's beautiful angelic voice at the end credits was so moving.
Chills when the piano starts and when Floor sings the outro.
Welcome to sabaton. Now you only got 20 years to dive into. If you already upset 15 seconds in, you will probably break down in the end of the song. Great reaction pal
I don't know who got Christmas #1 last year, but this was my Christmas #1
Hope you recognised the voice during the credits, it was the voice of the wife of the actor/drummer of the shot guy, Hannes.

Sometimes there isn’t a word or an emotion, music just touches your soul and your heart. It’s beyond our limited words and it is beautiful

Love Tommy, he’s heavily influenced by Helloween 👍🏻
@@wtglb 👍Awesome musician & such a great guy
It was sainsburys and we bought the chocolate that was on it. It’s probably one of the most profound adverts ever made

If I may... The chorus has "battle anthem" vibe to it and a brotherhood feel
Sabaton puts on a great show!
of all the reactions i have seen to this song .. yours is the best .. thank you for this Nat ... appreciate your honestness ..
So glad to see you do that one. I've missed your reactions a great deal.
Floor! ⛄💗
Welcome to the Royal Guard of Sabaton enjoy the rabbit hole.
It reminds me of Trans Siberian Orchestra.
Floor Jansen on the Outro.
Totally agree.. En livstid i krig ~ live gothenburg. ❤️❤️❤️
There’s no shame feeling a song in a strong way. But I get it if you wanted to edit the end out. Looking forward to more Sabaton.
welcome to the family brother, I look forward to watching your journey.
You missed Floor in THE END...🇸🇪
