As an artist my recommendation for that round sectioned container is either water colors or spray distressed inks. Either one if dried out will reactivate with water. Acrylics will dry fast because it’s not air tight. Just a suggestion Dawn

Somehow, I needed to hear that someone cares. These are cute project ideas. Christmas is coming quickly and need to make some special gifts. Thanks for sharing and caring.
Robin I'm so with you on that. I was in hospital a week ago, I'm ok btw, but at the time I felt so alone for 3 days, no one visited me, I would lay there with other patients getting cards, gifts and flowers with visitors. I'm not someone who craves attention, nor very comfortable being centre stage lol, but right at that moment I felt like a little girl who needed a cuddle and someone kissing my forehead. 🤗 Oh it's gonna make me cry, it felt so incredibly sad and I felt so sorry for myself. I live alone, and I do have a few family members left, but sometimes wish I didn't have to ask/beg/wish or hint that I need some show of love. 🙄 I don't hesitate to give it if I know someone is feeling low, ill, depressed, struggling, alone, overwhelmed etc. It makes me feel good to see someone feel spoilt, remembered, acknowledged, or just plain NOTICED! I feel like some people need to have your sadness SCREECHED in their face to even realise you're not feeling great! 😳 I noticed your comment. I care about you and hope you're feeling more uplifted today. One day at a time is all you need to manage. I'm not sure about the God thing. At least where I'm concerned. I've screamed so much hate at him that I'm pretty sure my name is down for Hell on a first class express shipping when my time comes. But he shouldn't have taken my little boy away from me, so I feel my anger is justified. 😢 But I'm sure he hasn't forsaken you! I wish I could believe in him, but that's gone too. But if you are blessed with the power of faith, then I ask God to remind you that he's there for you when you're low. I said a prayer for you, but it might not get through as I'm probably on the block list. I can't say "you're not alone" because I don't know your situation. But sometimes we really ARE though, and the few people we have are occupied elsewhere. But let's just say "we're in this together" because I know that much is true. I wish you an increasingly happy life and lifted confidence. 😘 xxxxx
Thanks Ingrid, another wonderful video! I made the diy vellum and used an old iron with parchment paper for protection. I love the way this wax infused paper turned out. The texture is amazing and the paper is even more sturdy.
This is what I was searching for to let others who might not want the wax to get on their iron. I made the cutest little hanging hearts for my girls for their school on valentine's day to hand out using shaved pieces of crayons in pretty colors between wax paper. Turned out beautifully like a stained glass piece almost for kids. They loved them and it was so easy. We kept a few hanging in our house for a long time. I was checking to make sure someone knew they could use parchment so it would protect the iron. 😊
You an do the same process but grate the candle wax…also I just learned you can do the same effect easier by adding baby oil rubbed into your paper. I substitute Neutragina sesame body oil. The smell is amazing
so gorgeous!! I love the effect of the DIY vellum and how it layered in so beautifully in your projects. Thank you for always teaching em something new!! love you!
I use the little candle melts and grate them, also you can use baby oil on paper to make vellum look paper just rub the baby oil on the paper, blot off and let dry. I saw that method on another Video but can not remember who it was.
I use a glue runner! It is really awesome, I can see what I have all in one place! I have a full video on my YT (linked in the description) for you 🫶🏼💕
Just beautiful! Love how they came out! Just a question, does it dry well or stay oily? I've seen this done with baby oil but it's very hard to dry. Thanks so much!

Cool idea! I once tried diy vellum with oil. I didn’t really like the results though. I’ve never seen that mini of an iron before. What else is it used for? Btw: “bougie” is candle in French. 😉
First let’s start with bougie…I LOVE that!! I wonder how we started using it in English for expensive?! I believe the mini iron is used for quilting (think those little squares) Yeah the baby oil leaves a little residue. this does as well but it’s dry. Thank you for your comment and for letting me know about bougie 🫶🏼💕

Hey Karen! The wax reactivates with heat, so it can definitely rub off, but what I would say is, you’ll get more of a flaky residue in my experience. I will have a couple more suggestions in a video coming up 🫶🏼💕
I’ve never found the clover mini iron reliable. Amazon and Lots of other places sell mini irons which look just like big irons but are much smaller and would make melting and spreading the wax much faster and they are much cheaper
Oooohhhhh!!! The ideas! I actually just got one of those glue stick melters, for a similar idea. If you try it let me know and I’ll do the same! 🥇 Great ideas Gail! 🫶🏼💕

I was thinking that oil would possibly work, but is the texture different, maybe softer from the oil?
Is it weird that I smelled the N oil when I read it…I bet that is amazing!!! 🫶🏼💕💕
The oil will have a little different texture as the wax leaves a smooth layer on top and the oil may have a little residue. 🫶🏼💕

Love it-maybe a grater on that candle-those cutters scare a clumsy me😂
Came here to say the same thing. You can get a grater at the dollar store or thrift store to use only on craft projects.
Yes! Great idea! The x-acto is a little scary! 🫶🏼💕
Thank you so much for posting this! Great idea! 🫶🏼💕
I've only used baby oil to transform paper into vellum. I might have to get that cute lip' iron!
I love the baby pool as well, but the wax texture once it’s dried and cured is gorgeous! I adore my little mini iron ♥️🫶🏼
The term bougie for a wax candle comes from the Algerian city Bougie, where the candles were made.
Mauriiiiiiice!! I love facts like that!! So great! Thank you!! 🫶🏼💕
Using a DT cheese grater, I am not patient! 😂. This is truly beautiful! Thank you for sharing!

I love the velum technique. When the paper is fully dry does the paper fold well, or does it tear?
