  • This Fluke 323 clamp meter is a great meter. The only issue I have found is that the test leads that come with the meter are no good. You can get new leads if your having this problem, watch the video to find out how.

I have the same meter and leads. they do fit fine but require more force to fully push in.

You shouldn't have to force anything with these. The new leads fluke sent me are higher quality and work perfect

Great! Mine was from Amazon, and received three different units that did the same thing. At this point because I confronted them and didn't accept the problem, I'm sure they have fixed the issue. This was 2 years ago.

Mine came with the tl175 leads , i did get the 116/323 combo though , may make a difference since it only came with one set

Thank you for this. I was considering purchasing one of these for everyday carry, but you've changed my mind. I'll go back to Fluke T5. I absolutley hate tangled/loose leads.

+willie tierney I did end up getting a free pair of test leads from fluke that worked. They should have put these good leads in the case instead of getting cheap. I have used the meter several times. Works great now!

And is the clamp meter itself any good ? Because this is not a review right. There is no excuse for fluke to give you crap leads but personally in the field i only use a clamp meter for high and fast amp readings.

+Brian Boterman I still have this meter and have used it several times. I do like the meter. It works well and no problems with it now that I have a new set of leads that Fluke mailed out to me.

Can you do a video comparing the ideal with the fluke? I'm needing to purchase a clamp on meter for school and I'm trying to decide.

Even if you don't do a review I would still like to know which you prefer. I was looking at a used ideal61-766.

Hey Micheal, been busy lately. I actually have an ideal 773, so I'm not sure about the 766. Never used that one. The 773 goes to 1000V AC and also has DC range. If your just using for school right now, I would say either one of those would work great.

Thanks for getting back with me. I ended up getting the Klein cl800.

      Nice!
Finish your school and it will pay off in the end. It's only gotten better for me. I have my own company and enjoy everyday. Put your mind to it, and you can do anything!

I am looking for a true RMS clamp meter and checked out your review and the follow up. Forgive me: I touched the "thumbs down" icon to see comments and all it did was give you a negative rating. Oops, dammit!
