    It's safe to say this: Suns didn't take Clippers seriously. They thought they were gonna cakewalk this first round because a) they have a True Big 3 b) media unanimously picked Phoenix, feeding into their cakewalk belief, and c) Clippers put themselves in this predicament by not taking the regular season seriously, complete with rumors of internal friction between coaching staff and front office that may lead to a serious rebuild if they get eliminated.
    I disagree that it's six games, it's going the full seven. I picked Clippers to win this series because of history repeating itself. In 2015, the media all picked Spurs to win their 1st round matchup versus Clippers, except for one media member. Clippers perform so much better when they're an underdog with the odds heavily stacked against them. But the time for underdogging series is over, they need to dominate while the game is still on. For the Clippers to prove they are a title contender, they must achieve something they have never done before in franchise history: secure a 3-0 lead, resulting in an automatic series win.

      Why do you think it will go 7? Based on what. If KD and Klaw cancel each other out, then who on the Suns is better than anyone on the Clippers

    • @WammyGiveaway
      @WammyGiveaway Рік тому

      @@the_dark_knight5140 Clippers have a history of dragging out a series. When they win a series, it's almost always in a Game 7. If it's in 6 or less, they normally lose; though that behavior has changed some starting in the 2020 NBA Playoffs when they finally won a playoff series in 6 games (they'd get another 6-game win in 2021 as part of their double 2-0 comeback). Their lone win in 5 games was back in 2006 behind Elton Brand and Sam Cassell. Clippers have never swept a playoffs series, let alone go up 3-0 to automatically win since no team in NBA history has ever recovered from a 3-0 deficit.

      @@the_dark_knight5140 Just Eric Gordon and Kawhi Leonard outscored the entire Suns in the 1st Q. If KD didn't get going in the 2nd Q, the Suns would not have had the chance in the 4th. Norm Powell alone outscored the Suns bench. Clippers are deeper and more talented across the roster, while the Suns are top heavy with a lackluster bench.

    8:58 just illustrates why Deandre Ayton is labeled as soft. 1 dribble and that's a dunk. But no, he had to settle for a soft-ass floater. I know Zubac might have had a chance to contest the shot had he done the one dribble towards the basket, but hey, create the contact. 8 times out of 10 you'd get rewarded with a foul.
