Hi Nate. I haven't seen Barbie, but enjoyed your video. I got my first Barbie for my birthday in February 1960. The original Barbie car was not pink. It looked like the one in the movie, but it was peach colored with turquoise trim. And the original Barbie house was made of cardboard. You had to assemble the furniture kind of like origami. :)

The doll that... developed when turned her arm was "Growing Up Skipper." There was confusion amongst some parents that Skipper might be Barbie's daughter instead of sister. So Matel not only aged her up, but made a doll of her going through puberty. Thus making the two characters a bit closer in age.
No mention of the inclusion of Video Girl Barbie. Which, unfortunately, has nothing to do with the classic anime Video Girl Ai. The toy did get some controversy. The idea was to put a digital video camera in a doll so kids could get creative and make their own videos. But then it was pointed out, "You're putting a hidden camera in little girl's bedrooms."
Oops.
But of all the Barbie "Oopses" not in the movie, one of the biggest would be Oreo Barbie. I kinda wish they referenced that in the movie, but only so many Easter eggs you can fit in there.
Growing up the girl across the street from me had video girl barbie. I remember digital cameras were so cool.

Oh and you missed in Easter egg from the bad guy's and the incredibles so when wolf is scanning the card pay attention and it is the mario power up sound and when dash was running from the drones look at the cliff it is the cliff from gravity falls

My biggest gripe is that the movie isn't really about Barbie. No one questions why there's no actual water in Barbieland, despite the fact that kids love playing with their toys in H2O, that's cuz Greta Gerwig said so. HUH?! Why does Barbie not give a f**ck about Ken? Simple! Because she's not really Barbie! She's not in control, Gloria is! Which means that Gloria doesn't really care about her husband and probably plans on killing him, which is why Barbie has thoughts of death. In Toy Story 3 Ken tells Barbie that he doesn't have anyone to share his Dreamhouse with, but in the Barbie movie, Barbie insists that it's her Dreamhouse and not Ken's. Sasha (one of the Bratz dolls) behaves like a grade A bitch cuz her mom is one also, but we never see this side of Gloria in the movie.
