I personally don't own any leather items or shoes that cost more than about $250 new. I don't have sentimental attachment to them. I have the luxury of being able to buy a new one and not look back, but others do not. For those who do feel attached, I am glad that Bedo is able to bring back their item to a usable condition, and quite often, restore them to a higher standard than the original manufacturer.
"You told me you wouldn't be able to make it look like new. You lied to me!" A true testament to your skill, experience and imagination! I'm not a bag restoration fan, but I never miss one from you!
You saved a family heirloom. These things matter as they are part of family history. You can be very proud of the work you did for the nice lady. Well done Steve!
I'd like to add to your fine comments that when something you value is restored, especially by your own hands it becomes yours again. Its value increases more than something you could buy. I see this when I work on my own cars.
“When you look at new, you throw out the story.” That should be a subtitle for your estimates from now on. Great work, great story, fantastic reaction. Steve, you’re gonna make her momma cry. 😊
Another gorgeous handbag restoration, and a heartfelt response from the customer, Emma, that was wonderful to see. Very thoughtful and perceptive response to the "why not just get a new one" comment. Your handbag videos especially are always a treat--this one was exceptional. Beautiful job. This is why your customers and youtube fans love you and your work, Bedo!
Her reaction gave me so much joy, because I know if she had that reaction her mother is going to be so emotional, giving someone their memories is such a gift. I just don’t think people realize what a gift that is.
I love watching you give these bags new life! This bag has a history and is important to the owner. It's better to have the bag fixed then buy a new one.
Awesome and touchy. Beside the incredible skills to fix that bag, it is always the story behind things like that. Made my day. Greetings from Hamburg, Germany.
Good on you Steve! I wasn't sure, but it looked like your customer was near the point of shedding some tears. To me, the purse was reborn, but it was her reaction, that really confirmed it. I thought her comment, not wanting to throw the story away" was so accurate.
I love listening to you because you teach us so much, I feel like I’m learning each time I watch your video, so I’m not “wasting time” on YT. That said, make your videos how you want Steve, they’re the bomb. Lol about your 5 finger discount, in the U.K., that means shoplifting. Edited to add, what a lovely customer, cool conversation and great backstory.
Whenever I watch you're videos I'm allways impressed but when the lady came in to pick her purse up and she said it was her mums the memories it must hold priceless
The lady,s reaction is priceless and that,s what I have been saying about restoring old things is not about the money is about the history of the item, like the lady said if you throw away the item you are throwing away the whole story and the memories.Good video Steve I like it.
i watched you remake that bag and its still almost too amazing to be believed. i was scratching my head over how the heck you were going to get those brown spots out. you did it. great job, my man!
Sentimentality aside, you outdid even yourself. I can't believe how it came out. As a sewer myself, I really appreciate the attention to detail needed to achieve the final outcome. Bravo!
I hate very few things more than our modern throw away culture. Thank you and this young lady for keeping the love of fine things handed down through generations and showing us your true talent of remaking them like new as well as the respect she has for great craftsmanship.
When people are cranking blades get dull, they just do. Your very efficient if sharpen before and after every use. Your very disciplined. Me? ..........I’d have to carry my stone. You have a great day.
And that's why people don't go and buy a new one, there's no attachment to a new one, no history. Well done Steve, you did it again and I keep coming back for more and that's why I don't go and get a new one!
Steve its Tuesday morning here in the UK I have a bacon sandwich in one hand and a double espresso in the other hand watching this bag restoration life don't get any better than this 😀 great work Steve the customers reaction was great she was overcome with emotion incredible workmanship truly amazing 👍have a great day Steve
Beautiful Job Steve and a lovely story told by an overwhelmed customer at the sight of her bag being brought back to life, and I'm sure she and her mum will treasure it forever thanks to you and your amazing work and skills :)
Your bag work is incredible and IMO this is one of your very best. The expanded leather pieces at the top to hide flaws came out so well. Her reaction (overwhelmed shock) says it all.
Steve, you know what ? I'm happy. I learn some process at each video you make, this is very well explained and it seems like a miracle. The price is forgotten and the bag is always here. Thank you so much, let's continue !
This was a great way to start my day. Great job Steve. It turned out fantastic. Have a good day today. You lied! You said it wouldn’t look new! That is the best! More memories that is sweet. She is the perfect example of why people will restore.......memories.
You are a true craftsman in every sense. You restore things so sympathetically. I really enjoy your videos and I learn so much. I appreciate your skills. 👍😊
@@DFMurray I BELIEVE THE PRICE in the video will INCREASE VIEWERS AND Customers. NEGATIVE (THUMBS DOWNS) AND NEGATIVE feedback will NOT affect the you tube algorithms.
The absolute master at work, Steveroo....! This never ceases to amaze me the skill involved with this....Enough said, UNREAL...! GG... IN....PS.. Steveroo she didn't like it, she LOVED IT and it left her speechless...! Awesome
That was another great video, Steve! The customer reactions are always nice to see. I’m reminded of that fatherly gentleman for whom you rebuilt that LV attaché/briefcase several months ago.
Your "folex" is a gorgeous watch. And that bag - you are the master! I own a few nice things in my old age and it is nice to know I can enjoy them and that you can fix them. No more "saving" stuff. You are the man, Steve!
That reaction said it all! What a beautiful end result. I loved how she said if you replace it you get rid of the memories and the whole history of the loved item. Awesome craftsmanship as usual, you really outdid yourself on this one. Fantastic video. Please thank your customer for sharing her reaction with us and if at all possible to let you know how her mom reacted. Loved every second. Stay well everyone.
Personally I don't see that stain left there are something negative. Let's say you would have that fabric and replaced it, the bag wouldn't be restored it would be a new bag, and I think those small stains is part of the history and memories of the bag. And awesome job, as always. I'm doing small leather goods as a hobby (Wallets/card holders/watch straps) but i'm learning techniques for construction to make a handbag for my sister soon. And seeing you repair these bags are worth a lot to me, because I see how they are constructed, I see where I will have to reinforce, and slowly I make my plans and your videos help me to figure out things to avoid making mistakes. Appreciated.
Steve, if I didn’t watch you restore the bag myself, I would have said you went out and bought a new bag! Absolutely mind blowing! Just gorgeous!! I LOVE watching the process and listening to your explaining why you choose the methods of restoration. You performed a miracle on this bag! Awesome!
You really brought that bag back from death to a new life. Fortunately the handles and main panels were in decent shape, but the rest was pretty far gone. Nice work!
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Love the story behind the bag and the thoughtful gift it's going to make. That reaction felt like a big hug. Thanks for sharing your reaction Emma. Made a depressed day a little better.
The young lady said it all, "you can't just throw those memories away"! Man, that's it!!!
My mom did mine. An old LV from the 70's.

Warmed my heart to hear about the costumer's mother. Great job, carries a lot of history and meaning.
You saved a family heirloom. These things matter as they are part of family history. You can be very proud of the work you did for the nice lady. Well done Steve!
Emma's going to hold onto the bag now it's been transformed by Steve! Sentimental value gives an inanimate object life.
Well said Mr Outlaw.

I appreciate the way you pounced on the phone. Potential customer doesnt have to be kept waiting for a video that can be edited or fast forwarded..
She nailed your philosophy so well, You don't want to throw the stories away.
I love that you sharpen your razor blades! I do it to now! Hey those pennies add up!
Shaving razors can be stropped really easily too. That is worthwhile when you consider what Gillette charges for them.
Less Exacto razor blades in the landfill too!
It really looks better with the wider leather bands. Such a gorgeous restoration.
I think so to. Much improved look!
I wouldn’t have ever thought to do that either. This is where creative genius and experience make the greatest mashup in Steve’s brain.
It does!!! I was thinking it was going to throw something off but it looks incredible with the wider leather.

Steve Bedo, "Hold my beer"
Nicely done on that bag. Nice to also enjoy the reaction of the customer. Family taking care of family. That's what it's about.
