A few minutes in and I am blown away by the looks of this watch. Wow... reminds me of a JLC Master Control for way less money. The closest competitor i can think of is the Longines Heritage Sector Dial..but is much larger than this watch. Thanks for the fantastic review!

Good comparison of those higher end pieces.. a budget JLC sector dial? Sounds like a win to me

Why do so many watch review bloggers equate a higher frequency with movements of a greater quality? Most of the world's best independent watchmakers create their movements around 2.5 to 3 hertz (There is a reason). One reason I like this rather charming piece is because of the slower beat rate. Kari Voutilainen, F.P. Journe, Jean-Marc Wiederrecht, Grönefeld and Daniel Defoe; I could go on, all craft their movements around slower beat rates.
Very good piece for anyone looking to buy a fine looking long term companion. Some slow frequency hand wound movements besides the Seagull, would be of particular interest to collectors also.

Excellent review David, with great video camera work of the watch 👏
I agree that Baltic do make great looking watches, with this being no exception. The finishing and detail, that you showed, look high quality. I think the Miyota movement is a great solid choice and for me the acrylic crystal is the perfect choice for this dress watch - for the vintage look and light play it will add to the beautiful looking sector dial. I really like this watch, congratulations on a great new watch for your collection 👌😎

Thank you very much for your kind comment Dean. I am a clumsy human and a sapphire crystal and the durability of it would be appreciated. But there is no denying the optical clarity and look of acrylic crystal is amazing to allow the dial to be observed in all its splendour. My experience with the miyota 8315 has been limited but I can see why it’s a great alternative to the Nh35 especially when regulated! Very much appreciate your comment and for your viewership as always 😃

    This is astonishing.
    Lovely case and dimensions/proportions.
The dial is beautiful, and the strap/bracelet options are comprehensive and elegant.
The movement is reliable and easy to service.
    And the price. 350? Really??
    That’s incredible.
    Really lovely watch, great review.
    Many thanks

I feel like a coin edge bezel would work well for this piece. In any case my salmon dial is arriving today🎉

DON'T buy any baltic watches, they are garbage. I ordered their MR01 for 605 euros, paid in full, in advance. I received the watch 7 months later. It ran 9 MINUTES fast per hour (not 9 seconds). The b.o.r. bracelet was very cheap, I have $100 watches with vastly superior bracelets. And the return process was a nightmare. They couldn’t: find my address, couldn’t send a prepaid return label. Wanted to refund my money to paypal when it was not used for the purchase. So I paid for the return shipping
and they committed in writing, to refund the shipping cost. Then they refused to pay for the return shipping cost after receiving their returned watch. This company is wildly incompetent, and massively dishonest.

I am sorry to hear of your less than stellar experience with them. This is my second Baltic Watch and I’ve not been personally disappointed with the watch nor the experience but that certainly doesn’t diminish yours. Companies can make mistakes..and sorry to hear you had to go through this
