I told you months and months ago to be mindful of carving out time for family throughout your life. NO. MATTER. WHAT! I’m so happy to see that you’ve been doing just that (not that I had anything AT ALL to do with that 🙄 you had actually asked our opinions on scheduling a trip 😂) I’m thrilled for you that your parents will have a part time home right next to you. Precious. You guys are very family oriented, Jordy’s family as well. There is no better way to live your life. I’m 52. My awesome kids are 23, 20, and 18. My Mom and Dad are gone now. I lost my little bro in 2019 and my big brother lives about an hour away. Michel, we are totally guilty of letting life get in the way of nurturing our relationships (my brother and the kids w their cousins) and making more memories. So sad. I look back on life OFTEN and think about so so many missed opportunities to make memories. It really hurts my heart sometimes. All I can do is be sure this doesn’t happen to my kiddos. I’ve been insistent that my kids be good to one another and stand up for one another. INSISTENT. I’m proud to say that they’ve become SUCH good friends! They are boy-girl-boy like we were and I often felt alone growing up. I didn’t want that for my daughter. These 3 kiddos now MAKE time for each other. They go to the movies together, take road trips together, go shopping together, and confide in one another. OFTEN! It’s all I’ve ever wanted for them. ❤️ It makes my mama heart so so happy and gives me so much peace and comfort in knowing they’ll have each other when I’m no longer here! That was my main goal! All of this to say….FAMILY MATTERS SO MUCH. I’m excited for you to slow down as your heart and soul are craving 🏡 Good onya, mate! ⛵️

P.S. Awe - loved your childhood memory of your time at the Rock House with your sister. Interestingly, my parents purchased and completely remodeled an historic property in Del Mar (long ago) - turning it into the Rock Haus Bed & Breakfast Inn. Amazing memories, and, a special time in our family's lives. It's owned by someone else klnow and it's been turned back into a private home on the hill of 15th Street. Hey Michel, let your mum know her asparagus needs to be a mound of dirt to look at (chop all growth/ferns down at the start of spring), then the spares will come up each day and you can harvest with a knife just below the soil. Growing up picking paddocks of it as a teen was hard work! xx
Hey Michel, have your rheumatologists ever evaluated you for myositis and/or mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD)? Myositis can present as rashes similar to the ones you've shown, and it can also cause darnkess around the eyes. Mixed Connective Tissue Disease is a rare one, but it can essentially show symptoms of any systemic autoimmune disease, like lupus and/or myositis. I personally have MCTD and have lupus-y and myositis-y symptoms myself, so just wanted to mention in case that's never been considered before and could be helpful :)

My master bedroom is huge like that, too. And the ceilings are angle vaulted up to like 20’. It’s wonderful once you have a baby because a rocking chair and nursing cart and crib fit, with room to spare!
