Thank u for this encouraging msg in Acts through the lives of Paul & Silas. During times of persecution Sometimes we need to be silent n sometimes use the law of the land n be wise n discerning. Satan tries all ways to thwart the spread of God’s word, for he knows his time is short. But God has a sovereign plan even during persecution. God may deliver us or may not, but in the end God works out His purposes in our lives for His glory. Our Lord our creator, the maker of heaven & earth is in control of everything. We must be careful wherever we are n be wise n sensitive to the cultural context wherein we are placed. Even when we face difficulties which seem unbearable, when we have the Holy Spirit within us, the joy of our Lord will be our strength n we will be able to sing the midnight song of praise & worship to our Lord & Savior. However great may be the persecution our Lord will continue to build His church. Our Lord will increase our faith & give us the spirit of joy in our lives. We serve a mighty God & we know that He will never leave us or forsake us. In times of our joys & sorrows He will always encourage us n enable us to share the good news of the gospel with others so that they too can experience this great joy in their lives.
The crux of ch.16,summed up in 3 points,is really helpful in cementing our faith.Thanks for underscoring the need to Worship Our Lord under all circumstances because He is worthy of worship,also for the caution on cultural sensitivity.God bless!
