Question for the videographer / sound engineer: what mic setup was being utilized for the horn and did you use anything special on the backend (specific preamp / compressor)? Takes real talent to get a horn to sound that good on recording. Of course he’s doing a lot of work in the playing but I can’t get my demos to sound any better than if it was played out of a soup can. 😞
It's very hard to tell. It has either had a lot of custom work done or it is a relatively obscure brand. It's definitely not and Edwards, Shires, or Rath. Doesn't look like a Thein or K&H. Maybe a custom Bach 42?
After further research it appears he is playing a Bach 42 with the bell cut and a custom valve section mounting you can find here: www.trombone.ch/EN/customshop.html
Wow, amazing sound.
Super trombone playing and an excellent job of the very tough piano part. Well done both!
Wow that is a great performance. You both played it wonderfully.
I did this piece in college a few years back. My piano player that did it is a phenomenal player. Such a gorgeous work.
Потрясающе! Посмотрел на одном дыхании 🎉
Excellent play and Pretty Sound!
It's so nice to have a version where more focus was on the piano!
That was amazing - both of you!!!
