I really love your video Odin ! I think you are right on so many levels concerning life, business etc. Kudos to you for making it a priority to take your kids to school every morning. It may only be a few minutes, but you are involved with them and present in their lives. I am sure those conversations on the way to school are valuable to them as well as you! I am so glad I found you and started following you and your work. Your insights are so helpful, and valuable and relevant to me. Take care, and looking forward to more videos !
Yeah, my style of shop update is really more about managing shop life I guess. As I find my stride with these videos I'll try to highlight actually projects more and more too.
Another great briefing. Just finished bingeing on your first 3 Monday briefings and several of your other UA-cam videos. Good fresh content. I especially like hearing your perspective on life / work balance. Never easy. You are blessed to have such an understanding family. You also hit the nail on the head about starting out local. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to many more.
Don Gonzales mentioned you at his last Monday Morning Briefing and said we should check you out. I did, and subscribed. I'm looking forward to more videos in the near future.
Great content, thanks for taking the time! I’ve got a similar problem sitting still! I’m building my new (small) workshop at the moment. I was supposed to be having a rest day recently, but I got bored and just did a half day instead 😂. Spent it doing site housekeeping, reorganising, and fixing up loose ends that made the next days work easier.
Yeah. Its a curse. I can't sit still for more than 10 minutes before I start looking for something to do. Luckily I live close to the shop and my wife is understanding.
Appreciate your videos and helpful info. I've had good luck with American Leather Direct's Chahin leather. They sell it much cheaper than another big retailer that carries it.
I would love to purchase a acrylic pattern of your messenger bag. I know that this could be a very large hurdle for you to overcome letting that pattern out into the world.
@@OdinLeatherGoods I may be able to help with that. I'm bought very large patterns from makers supply and he takes his patterns and cuts them into puzzle pieces that will fit in 8 and a 1/2 by 11 legal Envelope padded and Ships them out. When they arrive I take them out put them together and use blue painter's tape on top to keep them secure while I cut out pattern
Such great content. As a small maker (Cool Spring Leather) who is also a digital marketer, I struggle greatly trying to figure out the balance. I have no problem marketing other people’s products and writing fantastic content for them, but I struggle truly marketing my own stuff. Has that ever been a struggle for you?
Like everything else in leathercraft... It really just depends on you. That said, the benefits of a clicker press aren't just for producing a higher quantity of work. You may never choose to do big orders where you must but hundreds or thousands of pieces. Instead, you may choose to use a clicker press because you want consistent cut quality on just a few pieces. For example... Saddle makers use clicker presses a lot too. They like to be able to quickly and accurately cut saddle parts, but on click our one or two pieces at a time.

Your bitly links seem to be broken. Thanks for the video. Love to watch what you are doing and hearing your insights.
Thanks for the heads up! I'll give them a look now.
I think I found and corrected a few bad ones.

More templates are definitely on the way. The really big ones are a challenge though - mainly due to their size. But, I’m going to figure it out.

Massive struggle with this! I'm a marketer by trade. Still, its always easier to manage other peoples brands than your own.
What quantity determines when you invest in a clicker die?
