    I liked how he just patted that container and poured hot water to pull out the molder. Most DIY videos would be about people cutting the mold - like deym, such a waste.

    I loved every bit. Especially coz, the materials are easy to find, and now I have use for plastic containers no longer in use. And the amazing thing they were not destroyed.

    i saw that if you coat them with cooking oil they are much easier to remove. Thank you so much for this! it's very creative and I will attempt it. I have been looking for pots for my new plants and they are sold out EVERYWHERE

    I made 2 planters with similar method.. and i broke 2 planters initially while taking out of the mould... tried the oil layering too but it gets hard taking it out.. bcz of the scratchy surface while pushing down the inner mould.. but its fun and need bit patience 🙂 results are really beautiful.. best combination is lush green plant in white pot..
    Tips: Make sure to mix material to proper consistency... Leave the mould fr 36-48 hrs before u try to take it out.. Curing time 4-6 days is very important as it will give the planter its real strength...
    Concrete starts setting in 30 mins and it will gain only 30% of its strength in 48 hours of moulding..

    Thank you so much... i jus started doing white cement pots and it always cracks on the second day. After watching your video i will be trying to do the same thing but will only use sand and gray cement, i dont the other one... then i will cure it for 8days just to be sure... hoping that it sont get cracked again thanks so much...

      Thanks Michelle. Yes curing is very important - 4-5 days at least. use 2 parts sand and 1 part fresh cement and cure the pot for 4-5 days and the pot will last forever.

      You can skip marble powder but use 2:1 ratio. 2 parts sand and 1 part cement

    U show us true story of making a cement pot. removing of the plastic pot was not that much easier that others show .. I tried so many times but i was not succeed in that 😞

      If we use diesel or some other lubricant then this problem can be resolved

      Use a Plastic wrap between the mold and cement. I think that should work?

      I did that put an oil..engine oil& cooking oil the first tym but it's still hard to get the moulder on the center out..even the one on the outside..

      Thanks Kavita ji. Marble powder is crushed marble (also called jeera in india). If you do not have marble powder, you can use 2 parts sand and 1 part cement.

      Actually grey cement is stronger than white. That is why they use grey cement in all construction works.
