More purchasing power in international trade, i.e. Imported goods are cheaper. Vacations abroad are cheaper. Investments, acquisitions abroad are cheaper.
First of all : This comparison is just averaging the GDP per capita. It‘s not very revealing about the wealth gaps and inequality in a country, which can be huge. The profits in selling clothes, which you buy here and which are made in Africa or other low wage place are made by your country fellows. Their gain is statistically distributed to each citizen., which doesn’t relate directly to your personal situation of course. Have you thought of how much time you have to work to buy one kilogram of rice from India in comparison to an Indian citizen or some tropical fruits from Africa, and how much they would have to pay if produced here and shipped to them?
in a rich country, you buy better quality goods, the infrastructures are of better quality, there is less corruption etc... There is more money to protect the landscape, the animals, the quality of the air, education, hospital. But at the end of the month you also have 0 in your bank account, like everywhere else, but a better quality of life (not a better life).
Just because a country is wealthy it doesn't equate to happiness. With any nation there's a small percentage that own nearly all the wealth. $65000 a year in Australia? There's a huge population that doesn't have anything near this wealth. Having travelled to Singapore and Malaysia I didn't find the 2 nations much different from each other. Also Taiwan isn't recognised as a country
The level of Iran is much lower than what is shown in the video. I am in Iran and the income in my country is very low and expenses are very high and life is very hard.
Per Capita GDP is merely one measure. Singapore’s government doesn’t help its poor very much, throwing retirement funding to families, resulting in divisions in wealth. Australia has the highest minimum wage in the World; while, the United States can exploit immigrant workers. The Scandinavian countries are very well rounded and rank high in the Human Developing Index.

Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia are the poorest countries in Europe, after Moldova and Ukraine. Half of the residents of these countries left for other countries due to poverty. The well-being of residents must be compared by purchasing power. You may have a high salary, but what good is it if prices are high in your country. And industry is also important, not painted papers. For example, the 50 richest countries in the world cannot defeat Russia alone. The entire European Union promised to produce 1 million shells for Ukraine in 2023, but produced only 60 thousand. But Russia alone produced 5 million shells in a year. You can also remember how the United States and European countries during the time of coronavirus could not provide themselves with medical masks and ventilators. There was money, but nowhere to buy it was, and they stole each other’s planes with Chinese masks. The economy of the USA and the EU is an inflated soap bubble. All such videos are very primitive and should be taken with great skepticism.

I thought you had forgotten Australia and was surprised to see us rank so high. The way people complain you’d think we would be much further down the list. People don’t realise how good we have it. Funny how a lot of the African countries are so poor yet their leaders always seem to have the money to fight endless wars and they have nice new Rolls Royce’s.

ゆきな, You are not Taiwanese or Japanese. you are Chinese. You deliberately wrote a begging message in order to attract people's scorn and ridicule towards Taiwan. And those who respond as you would expect are often Chinese pretending to be Westerners.
I support one Taiwan policy. Taiwanese are the rightful owner of the mainland. The dirty unethical communist Chinese should return the mainland back to the people of Taiwan.

What is the advantage of a high income by higher prices?
More purchasing power in international trade, i.e. Imported goods are cheaper.
Vacations abroad are cheaper.
Investments, acquisitions abroad are cheaper.
@@kulturfreund6631 i live all day here, not abroad
@@kulturfreund6631 as i showed a abroad friend the prices of here, exampl. for a brand trouser made in Africa or Middleeast, he cant get it
First of all : This comparison is just averaging the GDP per capita.
Argentina 65?????? This is so wrong, it should be like in the 200 place

Taiwan is a country despite China's objections.
臺灣是一個國家.
What do you mean with "Taiwan isn't recognised"? Taiwan is #30 with $33907 GDP per Capita
People don't recognize Taiwan as a country, because world leaders are too scared of China.
It’s not about people’s income. Do some research what GDP per capita is!
Taiwan is literally an independent country though.
The level of Iran is much lower than what is shown in the video. I am in Iran and the income in my country is very low and expenses are very high and life is very hard.
Super bro
Thanks bro 💙
The European union is not a country, but a economical an political cooperation between 27 country's.
This is too simple. If You add debt of the state, debt of the county, debt of the companies, and debt of the citizens, then you are closer to truth.
Doesn't take into account the tax rate. A few top countries are paying upwards of 60% tax on per capita income
But have better public health, teaching etc
Singapore 0% - 22% max
By the way what is the music it sounds nice.

@@outerheaven4384 It is true. Russia's economy is smaller than Italy's at some $1.8 trillion in size. For reference, America's is $27 trillion. The EU is some $18 trillion.
