What a wealth of knowledge, presented clearly and with plenty of detail, yet understandable to the general public. I look forward to the publication of the book, so I can revisit the 1880-1920 time span Dr. Glass covered during the lecture, as well as the previous 80 years of Indianapolis architecture.
One clear takeaway is the irreplaceable treasures that have been lost to "progress" (often in the form of parking lots). I'm so glad Indiana Landmarks and experts like Dr. Glass encourage adaptive re-use so that marvelous older structures can continue to house and inspire us.
