The Phuket Thailand Pass Sandbox Test and Go is a very complicated thing, but totally worth it. The procedure to do the Thailand Phuket Sandbox and Test and Go quarantine free SHA+ option takes a lot of time to do, and requires printing a lot of paper, but it is very worth it. Phuket Thailand Sandbox is very beautiful this time of year, rainy season is just ending, and it's just getting into dry season. There's so much to do in Phuket Thailand Sandbox right now.
What do you all think of the Thailand Pass Test and Go / Sandbox? Are you going to come to Thailand?
Yes will be there in 6 weeks if Omi-crap doesn’t stop us!
Yes I will be arriving there Feb 22nd and I'm super excited!!!
I went to Pattaya in 2019 for 2 weeks by myself. 13-hour flight & I'm TERRIFIED of flying! I was on a mission to meet Ladyboys for long time!
Yes coming in feb 9th to march 9th with the test and go pretty excited!!!
I have not been back home for a few years, I hear that it has changed so much. I hope you both have a great time there during your visit. Blessings and good fortune during your stay! Love your videos!!
It has changed a lot! Can't wait to show you the right-now thailand :)
Enjoy Thailand and the food!🍲🍜🍚🧋
thank you! we will! :)
cant wait to see more video!! I love Thailand ❤️
thank you :) more coming soon!
Traveling from the UK to Phuket tomorrow, super useful video thanks guys!
safe travels and enjoy your trip!!!
Can't wait to see more videos from Thailand! That's a destination on my list
coming right up!
Love Thailand! Went there in 2016 and dang I wish I would have vlogged it!
All that paperwork is how I felt when we went to Italy last month 😂. That urban forest is Singapore is really cool. Excellent editing by the way!
haha yeah - has the paperwork for italy gone through the roof now? singapore is amazing, and thank you!
I was waiting for that moment when I retired with anticipation of spending winters in SE Asia and avoiding the cold and snow of Northern NY.... In February 2019 I headed to Siem Reap, Cambodia spending 1 month before taking a flight to Phuket, Thailand for my 3rd visit... 1 month later and flew back to Siem Reap for another month... My plans were coming to fruition.....until the friggen pandemic struck and now for the 2nd winter in a row I'm watching Roku and the travel channel.... The Changi airport is truly amazing as well as Singapore Airlines... thanks for the video and subscribed
i really hope you can come over here soon! if you're in the USA now, you can fly to Thailand, Singapore, or Cambodia right now!
and thanks so much for watching :)
Great video thanks so much for sharing 👍
thank you so much for watching!! :)
Thanks for good information, i hope you get a nice time there.
thank you so much for watching!
this is a good video! my family and I leaving sg to travel to Thailand in a few weeks
Thank you!! Hope you have the best trip :)
Hope you gonna enjoy your time in Phuket!!
so far it's been awesome! :) thank you so much for watching! are you still in phuket?
Thank you for putting this info out there! Its quite hard to keep up with all the new rules/requirements they have lol my fingers are crossed that my holiday in Jan won't be affected.
ha yeah - the rules keep changing, it feels like every week or two now. it's hard for us to keep up and we have nothing else to do but figure them out. i'm thinking it'll be easier in january!
Taking a bath in the airport is even more wonderful. Taking a bath in a Jacuzzi in the airport is over the top.
WHERE CAN WE DO THIS?? we must know
@@LisaAndJosh I heard Qatar Airlines First Lounge has that. I had taken bath at Cathay First Lounge in Hong Kong. After the renovation in 2013, it just wasn't as good as before.
Welcome! : D I'm a Bangkokian and honestly I really miss seeing visitors in my city during the past years it was like the whole city was lack of something 😭 same goes to other cities, im sure they are all excited to welcome tourists from over the world once again :>
Phuket is awesomeee the nearby Andaman sea provinces as well 🤩
Enjoy your stay and have fun!!✨
we're totally coming to bangkok soon! i understand that, a city that's usually so popular with tourists must feel very weird without them. i can't wait to get there to see the new spider man movie at the super awesome cinema there, eat all the food, and bring some of that tourist energy back :)
thank you so much!
the paperwork Josh pulled out immediately at the start of the video shocked me hahaha can't wait to see what y'all do in Phuket :)
lol it's truly, truly bonkers
At the end, the black talkative kitty is so cute!
right? :) 🐈⬛
You're welcome to Thailand.
thank you :)
We are planning the same trip from Singapore! Thanks for sharing.
so glad it was helpful :)
@@LisaAndJosh 😊
wow 128 days,,nice journey and nice video
thank you so much :) feels like it's just blown by!
That thing you thought was sugarcane stalk is actually a lemongrass stalk! Used as stirrers and adds a nice flavor to your drinks….it’s also the main ingredient for Tom Yam soups!
ah ha! thank you very much for helping us solve that mystery!
I love you guys! You seem so natural together! I'm visiting Thailand, Bangkok, next month with my girlfriend. I bet it will be amazing! 🤗🤗😃
awesome :) you just going to bangkok, or are you going to travel elsewhere? hope you have the best time!
@@LisaAndJosh we will be flying from Italy, same as you guys! In Thailand, we will be staying for two weeks; some say it's enough time to visit, bkk, Chiang Mai and Krabi. Do you recommend otherwise?
@@stefanzara9408 that sounds perfect!!!!
Last time I went to Singapore, on my way to Changi airport, I gave the driver a $20 tip. I am sure he was happy for a whole day.
someone giving me $20 would sure put a smile on my face
Welcome to Thailand 🙏🇹🇭🙏
thank you!! :)
We will be there on 11 Dec. Thx for showing us this. I´m so glad I printed out EEEVERYTHING. But it still seems a bit hectic to me. But the hub is very relaxed
YES - once you have everything printed and double checked, it's really straightforward and simple. we were in and out of the airport in like 30 minutes tops
@@LisaAndJosh thx for the reply. been having stomach cramps ever since. But we are ready again. Stay safe. Love Thailand
@lisa&Josh very informative:)
We also printed everything before hand ... and then just kept them close. The rest was easy
Travel Thursday, Travel Thursday we go to Thailand today!! 🤣😂
:)
Welcome to Land of Smiles :) Enjoy and stay safe :)
Thanks so much! We can already tell Thailand fits that name :)
Have fun in Thailand. We love Thailand. If you go to Thailand you help Thailand. Best wishes Siri and Uwe
we definitely want to help thailand! :) thank you so much for watching!
@@LisaAndJosh Thank you an hope you help us with a Abo 🥲🙏
What is missing from your travel experience in Singapore, compared to pre-covid period, is probably the crowd. Also a few nice hawker centre food stalls and restaurants closed down due to lack of crowd. Nonetheless, hope you had a blast while in town.
yeah it definitely felt like very "off-season", not so many tourists, lots of stuff closed. some good, some bad - but very special to experience like this, as it won't even be like this again (hopefully)
Welcome to Thailand 🤗
thank you!! :)
This is really helpful as I plan to work remote from Thailand in 2022.
such an amazing place to work remotely :) where do you wanna stay?
8:04 Beautiful shot.
thank you! :)
No way!! thanks!
thank you!
Nice video! How long did it take you to get all the paperwork done? Also how much was the mandatory travel insurance?
we already pay for travel insurance through safetywing, which is ~$80 per month for the both of us. many people are going through AXA Thailand as well, not sure on pricing.
Going through all of the steps and getting all the required paperwork in order took us a few hours. Actually completing the web form took like 15 minutes once we had all the stuff in the right formats and got our QR code version of our vaccination certificate
im Thai,
welcoming to Thailand, Miss n Mr
'
thank you for the lovely welcome! :)
Hi! Love the video! I was wondering if you booked a test and go package? Or get tested at the airport?
SHA+, pcr test, and SHA+ transportation all have to be purchased separately when traveling to phuket because the pcr test is done at the airport instead of the hotel itself.
This is all correct - the PCR test is booked with the Airport (they have a website to make your booking and pay, it was ~$100 US when we did it), and we arranged private transfer with our hotel (that was also our quarantine hotel until results arrived), and I would recommend doing all of that with your hotel. It really simplified the paperwork part of it by having that part through one entity.
Wow! 2 hours for the PCR results? Thats amazing. We're traveling on the 3rd of January, and this was something i really wanted to know. What time did you arrive in the Phuket?
Yeah it was way, way faster than we thought. We got in at like.... noon?
@@LisaAndJosh Amazing, thanks! Hopefully ours will be as quick then we get there :) Safe travels
Fabulous to see you now in Thailand - I arrive mid January - first Bangkok and then Phuket. Hope you guys are still around. I've been following your vids since Hawaii last Spring. Question: how did you turn your vaccination card into a QR code? I only have a USA CDC card so trying to figure that out to make it more convenient when traveling. Thanks - looking forward to your adventures.
I have the same question about how to turn you vaccination card into a QR code. Any info would be appreciated. I Am flying to BKK in 12 days and am going to apply for the Thailand Pass tomorrow. I have everything but a Vaccination QR code.
The Approved Thailand pass would come to your email in a form of a QR code. Or it’ll link to a QR code you print out that’s what my friend told me. Hope that helps!
@@lh453 if you have all the documents. The early you apply for Thailand pass the better. Don’t wait till a week before you fly it’ll be nerve wrecking since they are busy approving the passes and might be take a few days. Or if you miss something then you can redo it. So the earlier the better. There should be on UA-cam someone with all the info for applying for the pass so you can make sure you have everything to go.
this is a great question! there are a few ways - we got our through hawaii, where we were vaccinated. you can also get it through your health provider if they use MyChart. If you don't have those, lots of people have had success using the Clear App (the ones you see in the Airport that's kinda like TSA Precheck?) to get theirs.
www.clearme.com/vaccine-validation
Not a requirement, but helps a LOT
see answer to top of thread :)
Can you please tell what exactly we should have printed out and ready to present please?
Thanks.
Hoooo boy there's so much, and it's changing all the time.
To summarize: everything related to your trip at all. We go over all the things that we printed in the video, and there's great info here -
www.thaiembassy.com/travel-to-thailand/how-to-travel-to-thailand-in-2022
hi i’ll be travelling to phuket around 1 week time, wondering how do you book your airport transfer to your SHA+ hotel?
our hotel did all that for us! you can also pay for a kinda-expensive transfer directly upon arrival, but I'd really recommend that you book with your hotel
15:40 that’s a stalk of lemongrass!
ah-ha! thank you!
Miss Thailand, been going over the last 10 years, always stay 3 months, unfortunately not in the future as I decided not to get the vaccine
yeah it's super hard to impossible to get anywhere in southeast asia without the vaccine right now, and probably will be that way forever. i hope you can find a way to get back here safely
hi i’ll be headed to phuket next month just wondering what hard copy documents do you need and why?
Everything related to your trip you need in hard copy - thailand pass, health insurance, hotel booking, exit flight, etc
As far as why.... because Thailand? They just prefer hard copy for everything :)
you bite the lemongrass hahaha
My Thailand pass was just approved. It’s sooooo much paperwork
ha yep - but glad to hear that it got approved!
the best thing is stay home people wait it out it is not worth it all the stress paper work stuff that save your money for better times to come .
this is one way to look at it - we disagree, and think it's totally worth it, but I could see how this would be very stressful and not worth it for others
Never Ben To Singapore,. Always Wanted To Go. Specially Know W/Universal Studios. Boarding The Airplane To Thailand. Excellent From Start To Finish.
thank you so much :)
I have a question! :) when you arrived at the Phuket airport and showed your negative rt-pcr covid test, did they look for a QR code? Or did they have a list of approved places? We got our covid test from a private facility so I want to make sure it doesn’t get rejected. Thank you!
Our negative test did come with a QR code that they scanned. I saw people have tests without a QR code that were also accepted, as long as it was from an "official lab", of which the definition of that was very unclear.
Which Travel Insurance you have? Did you take local thai insurance or insurance from your country?
we use safetywing for this, and for going everywhere else - so i guess kinda both?
Did you order hotel food? If not, how did you order the food while waiting for the test result?
yep! you can just order through the grab app (like UberEats in the USA), and they deliver to the front desk that drops it off at your room.
After quarantine for 1 day let's say in Bangkok, can you travel to Phuket the day after? and then no more pcr or quarantine is required?
Yep! Although I wouldn't rush things - there's no surefire way to know how long it will take to get your results back. But yep, once you've done all the things required for the Test-n-go plan, you can fly anywhere else in Thailand without quarantine, just needing to show your proof of vaccination.
Hi I am new to your channel, I just wanna ask if my boyfriend and I are traveling from different countries is it possible to stay in one hotel room for sandbox? Tysm
Yes!
I don't see why not, but both your names would have to be on the hotel booking, and you might have to go through immigration together? Not 100% sure on this, sorry!
Noted on this, thank you so much.
What’s the best way to get travelers insurance I tired axa but they won’t except any of my credit or debit cards
we use safetywing, which has been great for us in thailand and everywhere else. not sure on other options, more people use AXA
I'm in the first stage of hoop jumping. Getting my sixty day visa is bad enough followed by all the other bureaucratic BS. Sounds like you got a good deal in Phuket for your quarantine stay. At least there's some life in Bangla road which is more than you can say about most of Thailand right now. I've been so on the fence about going through with this trip with all the new requirements. i could still pull the plug. Wasn't impressed when they backflipped on antigent test without PCR.
yeah, the goalposts are shifting constantly for sure. it looks super overwhelming at the outset, but when you go through it it's actually quite smooth. there's definitely some life on Bangla road, and in Fishermans Village in Koh samui - there's a surprisingly high amount of things open right now. i hope it all works out for you, it's amazing here right now for sure :)
With all the hassle and paper works-- Best to stay for at least 2 weeks in Phuket - For a Real nice relaxation holidays-
agreed - i think we didn't spend enough time there, there was a lot more to explore!
Do you carry a printer? That's a lot of papers.
lol, it really felt like we needed to. there was SO much paperwork to do
15:39 that was funny.
straws...who needs em
Hi guys, did you mention that covid test at the airport cost you 100 USD? One test ?
correct - $100 USD per test is about standard everywhere in SEA
$55 a night,that's a $255 Hilton here in the US on a beach.
for sure! probably even more than that in some areas. such a beautiful hotel, and the pools were amazing!
Hotels everywhere in Phuket are dirt cheap right now. The Thai baht is weak as well.
can i use my nhs covid pass as the vaccination certificate?
i'm not sure, but if they accept our weird paper vaccination certificate, i don't see why the NHS one wouldn't work
Can I ask where you went in Singapore to get your Covid test and how you got your results? Thank you!🦄
We used SwabStation - they have testing facilities all over Singapore. We got the results via SMS and email one day after we got the tests done. We then printed the results out (you HAVE to do this if you're going to Thailand)!
A hotel in Thailand, if you post a picture on the net, what kind? Usually the quality is the same as in the picture. or better in the picture because otherwise they may be complained But if in some countries it may be lower than the standard picture below. 😅😉
ha yeah - most of the photos of the hotels are really, really bad and old on most websites.
$55. Lol i was there in Nov 2019 at this hotel in Phuket , no suite but pool view Ground level i paid close to $150 cdn per night back then, u got a bargain, I think it was 3500 baht a nite in 2019 trip , an awesome hotel right on the beach road
ha man - that's quite a change in pricing since then!
i just unboarded on 24 Nov 2021 because i dont have Thailand Pass..my bad...so i just have one option is I need to moves my flight..if not, it is considered burned..
so i confused 2 of procedur,, Rt-Pcr and Thailand pass..for now i wanna ask you just for Rt-Pcr..
Question : How much price for Rt-Pcr at Phuket airport ? and do we need to retake Rt-Pcr before flight back to our country ?
hope you can answer me,,I was in urgent
Aw man - thanks for sharing your experience, even if it was a tough one. The price for the COVID test at the airport was like... $100 US. And if you are flying back to the US, right now you do have to get a test.
Lots of red tape for Asian countries it seems, but I'm sure it's more than worth it.I wanna go so bad, thanks for sharing.
tons of paperwork right now, lots of hoops to jump through. VERY VERY worth it though
Do you need PCR test before you go to Thailand or just when you get there at one of those hotels?
Before
Both! You need a test before you get there, and another one (that you book) on arrival
You also need to take a self antigen test on day 7
Do we really need to get our documents printed ?
I am coming there on 8 th of December
YES, absolutely you do. there was no way to do it digitally - i can't say this strongly enough, print everything!!
Tnx for letting me know
You are an angel 😇
Man still is too much steps. See u in 2022 Thailand 😊
Yeah, there are definitely a lot of steps, but love that Thailand has found a way to open up tourism safely. crossing fingers for 2022!
i think all these documents and shit will be in force for 1 year - cause sadly the mainstream media is hyping up new covid variants to scare people again.
Excuse me , i. Little confused . I see you in Someone clip from one pack wanderer channel . You were in PhiPhi Island.
They already arrived in Thailand maybe two weeks ago or more and edited videos to put up later na.
ha yeah - it takes us a while to edit and upload videos, so they're not always in perfect sync with where we are right now!
hi how long does it take for u to get your thailand pass? i applied a week ago but the status is still reviewing
some people get it back right away, some people it takes like 2 weeks. hope you get yours soon!
I’m Asian and non Thai. I got my TP in 2 mins after submission.
As a frequent traveler to Thailand in the past, I'd like to know when I can just jump on a plane from LA to Bangkok with just my U.S. passport and that's it like I used to? 2025? Let's Declare this Covid thing officially over already. How many more years of this B.S.?
i gotta say, seeing what we're seeing every day, travel is changed forever. we're making a video literally right now (like in between answering these comments we're editing it lol) about that exact topic. coming out thursday i think. i really don't see the process changing significantly for a few years - it's gonna be like this for a while.
when the government tell you to get vaxed and when youre over there you still need to undertake some covid test swabs..in which most of these tests dont work, you might even come up positive. it will be a waste of time and then they deny your entry to thailand
Did you have to book the covid test or is it free ?
Cost about $65 USD
had to book the covid test, cost us about $100 US per person at the time, may be getting cheaper
so its a entry requirement? but you have to pay for it ?! smh
@@LisaAndJosh Hi! Do you have any link where I can book this?
Yeah, phuket my second home. Can't go there at the moment. 😪
sorry to hear that you can't come here right now! I hope you get to come back soon :)
@@LisaAndJosh Thanks. I'll be there soon in the new year, when my country allow us to travel again. Careful on the motorbikes though while you're there.

Are they strict on mask wearing , can you get away with not wearing one outdoors?
the rules here are to wear masks whenever you're outdoors and near people, and we just follow what the locals are doing
A bit surreal, to see all this emptiness.....pre-Covid, there used to be so many ppl, especially from Malaysia and Singapore and Scandinavia........
right? i keep feeling like an old man saying "i remember how this used to be open and this used to have so many people" all the time
Are they strict with masks, can you get away with not wearing one outdoors?
the rules here are to wear masks whenever you're outdoors and near people, and we just follow what the locals are doing
so wasting time for those all documents
yeah, there's a lot to do - but it's totally worth it!
