I keep a separate journal for notes and reminders without writing on my Bible. Revelation 22:18
@void9837 I'm scared of that verse. But I think you would have to add books, chapters, and verses. Just like on the next verse it tells you not to remove anything. Still, i don't write in my Bible and probably never will. But I do have a punch of stickies and papers taped on.
Taking (written) notes on the bible pages (without destroying it) has nothing to do with that verse. That verse means that no one must add to God's Word their own words, either writting or speaking and teach them@@void9837

Ok I don't leave many comments but I'm going to toss in my 2 cents lol
1. You absolutely do not owe anybody an explanation about using your bible the way you want to use your bible it's not their bible it's your bible So when you see those kind of comments just hit the delete button don't even worry about it
2. Anybody who wants to give you a hard time tell them to pick a different channel Personally I don't agree with the version that you use but I have absolutely no problem with you! your teaching is sound your notes are amazing You're growing inChrist and causing others to grow! You are doing Gods WILL and anyone trying to run you or your content is NOT doing Gods will because He wants us to edify each other.
3. You're doing a great thing sister in Christ. Keep it up. I look forward to next December flip through I will be following along with you.

I love to see someone who does such deep study in God’s Word. This looks like my study Bible. Each time I finish going through the Bible I give it to my adult kids. They love that and I pray it inspires them.
I am doing the same thing. Each year as I finish a Bible, it goes to one of the grandchildren. Heritage being passed down...

Love it! I’m still behind on my study since having my stroke (7 months ago now!) but I am still studying every day! I’m going to have to move through next year finishing up but that’s okay. I have transformed!!! 🙌🏼

I’m not sure if you have ever seen any videos from “How to Faith a Life” but she also has an incredible Bible. I think you would really like to see some of the ways she adds notes to her Bible, and keeps adding to it year by year while still being able to read it. It was a total game changer for me. I love that you were going to gift it to your kids. I can’t wait to see what next year’s Bible looks like. Thank you for sharing! It is always so inspiring to see how other people get into the word of God. I got an interleaved Bible this year for the first time and holy moly was that the best thing I ever did. Having a full pge to take notes on was something that I’d never even considered before this last year. I was totally the girl who used to think writing in my Bible was desecrate it. The last two weeks I have made a huge effort to spend time studying God each day and my mental health is soaring. God is so good!

Kanoe, I love that you are thoughtfully saving this for your children. My dad passed last February, and of all the things I have that were his, the most important was his Bible (well....he had several, but this was his main one). It's so special! I love how marked up and "busy" yours is!

I grew up convinced that my Bible needs to be pristine. I recently joined a new church and discovered the NLT Bible. Got myself a copy at the beginning of the month. It already looks well-used. I love it so much 😁 it's MY Bible. It's MY first time connecting to a church. It makes me so happy because it's like a piece of me now

Just found your channel this morning. I love this !! Ive watched so many different bible journaling videos and i have to say, your style is one i finally feel like i could get behind. I'm not naturally a note taker. Id love to be a meaningful note taker but it is so daunting to me on how to or where to start. Hope i can learn lots here.

I just thoroughly enjoyed your flip through and find it so satisfying to see such a beautiful bulky well written in Bible. All I think your spirit must be so well fed, whereas my spirit may be famished!😂 I laugh lightly, truly, I want to eat more spiritual food than I eat physical food. I want to be able to do this, I just need to learn. I have started art journaling, and I know God is helping minister to my heart to do just this to help me get into His word and writing it deeply onto my heart. Faith is fun, and I feel whatever gets you into reading your word and having Holy Ghost give revelation on His living word is a great thing. Again, this is so beautiful to see, thank you for sharing. I’m so thankful to learn you do daily Bible study with others. 🙏🏻🥹

I just came across your channel and am hoping you do another read-through for 2024!! I am so inspired by your dedication to do this every day and keep up with it! For your 2024 Bible, you should check out an interleaved Bible. Would give you an entire blank page every other page for notes and such. Might be more effective for you to be able to take all your notes but still be able to use your Bible for multiple years. And your 2023 Bible can still be a great reference for you! In the future you can think to yourself, "What did think about this verse last year or what did I write about this passage?" You can go back and see the notes you took for a particular verse.
Well we are on the same page 😉. If you take a look at the 2024 podcast playlist, you will see that 1.) we are doing this again and 2.) I’m using an interleaved Bible! 🙌 😆

I could never do this personally because I like rereading without notes. (I have found highlighting and minimal notes useful though.) But It’s cool to see what bible journaling can look like. Though, if I was teaching a bible study I can see how this could definitely be useful for quick reference of notes. I do think that taking notes can help process things a lot better.
Your handwriting is beautiful and neat. Plus also your hand lettering looks awesome. If I did this it would look like chicken scratch on steroids. Thank you for showing us what you do when you read and study the Bible. I will be watching you on UA-cam and listening to the Podcast.
Glued in pages are called Tip In's, if glued or washi taped to the crease...
and tip Ups or Tip Downs if you tape to the top or bottom of your page..

Question: I have been currently taking notes in my Bible for 3 years now. When I do studies I find my notes so helpful, after you studied for a year don’t your notes help you in your study? Notes you won’t have in a new Bible.

Yup! I remove all the paper and just put my one sheet of tracing paper in the printer. Other printers require you to tape it to a piece of printer paper so it can grab.

Hey ! I have my own podcast going on and during my daily routine I wanted to add what I do but I wanted ur permission first my daily routine is waking up and doing Heart Dive 365… do you mind if I mention that?
What really helps for me is to use scrapbook paper or normal people and interleave your Bible

I noticed your didn't have tabs in that bible. How do you know where to turn for certain studies or reading? I need tabs to find the books.
I’ve been reading the Bible since I was 12- I used to have tabs. But one thing that helped immensely was learning a books of the Bible song!

I try to limit how many commentaries because I prefer to let the text itself speak but also I don’t want to get so overwhelmed Roth commentaries that I make that primary over the word itself.
What pen did you find to write on the transparent sticky notes? All that I have tried just wipe off

No. I keep my Bible as gifts for my children. I start brand new in another Bible once it is full.

I have been thinking of doing Jonathan Edwards's Miscellanies for note taking. Does anyone do this? I hesitate to mark up one bible, then a year or two later need to start over with a new bible. I have to admit - love your bible note taking but its a little overwhelming for me :-).

I personally can't understand why other Christians feel the need to comment disparaging things or to be nasty. If this is not for you,that's ok. Move on. God doesn't care if your Bible is pristine or colorful. He cares if we are 'In' His word putting it on our hearts. God made us to be creative. When I see someone with a Bible like this, it touches my heart, inspires me to get in the word constantly. I see a person who is in love with the Lord, spending time regularly to soak up His word and to understand Him personally. It's beautiful. We all need to remember that we should think before speaking. If what we want to say isn't to uplift or encourage, etc. it's better to be quiet. We all need to think how Christ would comment.

You are absolutely correct you are not destroying God’s word . We are told take the Word and bind them on the tables of our heart. So even if someone burned up every Bible when it’s in our hearts it can never be destroyed. Keep doing what works.

I had been praying about going through the bible in a year because 1) I've been a christian my whole life and never read through the whole bible but, 2) I thought it would be such a beautiful thing to take notes and dig deep and write prayers through the whole bible and gift them to my children as a legacy. I was too overwhelmed at trying to read through the bible and study it an annotate and write prayers for ALL of it in 1 year. UNTIL! Until I found your Bible study! I am so grateful! Your ministry is an answer to my prayers!
Father Mike Schmidt (I think that’s his name) Does a Bible in a year podcast and it’s free. I have listened to it on the way to and from work. I’m finishing soon and plan to go back through again while sitting down with the Bible and reading along and taking notes. It’s been so helpful in learning the Bible.

Lol..I am actually rewriting the Bible in a Moleskin notebook and it is incredible how taking the time to write it out beautifully is helping to hide it in my heart. I saw @catwoods do it on her channel and realized it's a great idea! Glory to Jesus Christ!
Love, love, love your Bible Kanoe. It tells me that you have read, studied, prayed and worshiped our Lord extensively. I was never taught that you shouldn’t write in your Bible. I was born and raised in a traditional fundamentalist church in the south and I remember sitting next to my grandma and watching her write notes in the margins of her Bible during the sermon. My mom wrote in her Bible as well. I’m not sure if my dad did. I think some Christian denominations may discourage writing in the Bible. So it’s probably just how they were brought up. I agree, you should do what God is telling your heart to do regarding whether to write directly in your Bible or not. I’m excited for this new year. Thank you soooo much for starting this UA-cam channel.
