I hate that the "tactical scoop" is a thing (even though he never ended up doing it) - surrendering should never net you an advantage, including witholding information. If you scoop, your opponent should be able to view all face down cards you control and cards in hand; if that is not enough to make it so scooping doesn't yield advantage, all cards in the deck as well.
What are you talking about? Ever heard of retreating during a battle so that you can eventually win a war?

What? Witholding information when you know you probably lose the one game is the best way to assure yourself you can go to g3. Why would I have to reward my opponent with more information when their set up is almost assuredly enough to win the game? 0 reason to play it out unless your opponent already knows what you're playing.
You're already playing a game down, no need to let your opponent side blow out cards against you while you're already down.
