i know this shit is highly subjective, but i don't understand why they didn't put this one out as a single before the album release, imo it's by far the best written song on the album, it's catchy, memorable and has all the cohesion a lot of the other tracks on the above lack
I love how this band isn’t afraid to do something out of the ordinary every once in a while, as shown with this album. A lot of metalcore bands get stale and repetitive after a while, so it’s awesome to see a band that’s so unapologetically adventurous.
Code Orange is WAAAAAAAY more than a metalcore band, after all.

“Stylistically, this almost feels like a heavier indie song or something. It’s definitely totally different than anything we’ve done. The metaphor of the first line is from the movie One Hour Photo, starring Robin Williams. He’s this lonely photo printer in a Walmart. I just like the metaphor of the snapshot-a brief moment in time that can last forever. It’s like shit that never goes away. The lyrics have the theme of the movie, as well as fantasizing about capturing your captor, turning your own predator into prey.” (c) Jami Morgan
