Thank for a very clear demonstration of perfectly timed movements with balance, speed and power in all the right places. I am familiar with the 52 movement form and I have recently learned the Chen style 48 movement form, so as well as practising these two forms to make them more fluid and precise I will now begin to learn this 56 movement form. So far, I've just been trying to follow and imitate, as best I can, the others in my park Tai Chi group in Madrid who know this form. However, I need to break it down and learn it move by move, section by section; and this video will help me to do that.

At the start, you can see the Chen Style's Buddha's Warrior Attendant Pounds Mortar (金刚捣碓). The entire fan form has a very strong martial flavour as is typical of the Chen style.

Het ziet er harstikke mooi uit, maar voor zelfverdediging heb je er natuurlijk geen moer aan. Dan kan je beter richting Kyokuhin, Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, Boxen of Muay Thai gaan.

I really love Master Yips forms..her grace,focus and balance is what I strive to do. My teacher Lin knows her and I hope some day to meet Master Yip.
