I am more that proud to say that I was part of the original design team for the Apache starting in 1972. Yes I'm old!! I worked on the Apache program off and on until 2011. Sold them around the world. The greatest attack helicopter ever.

Thank you, sir! I was briefly tasked on a design study for a composite version of the main fuel tank. Wasn't accepted, but I was proud to be part of the Apache team, if only briefly.

If you had told me something like this would one day exist 20 years ago I wouldn't believe it.
As an IT guy i can see everyday how some simple apps like a room booking app can be filled with bugs and broken features but you ED manage to simulate all those modern machines with their fancy systems, and keep raising the bar just wow ... impressive; hat off to your teams!!!

the fact that Eagle dynamics got licensing for ACDC's Thunderstruck shows that they're willing to do whatever it takes to make the best of the best for the DCS community. the future of DCS will be a wild one.

The old US Army Aviation video that featured this song was my favorite aviation video for so long.
For helicopters, my choice is Search and Destroy by Iggy Pop and the Stooges just because of a fan made video using Apocalypse Now helicopter footage.

I can't even explain how much excited i am, it's decades i'm waiting for an apache simulator and now i've got it at the simulation level of DCS, Thank you ED my best favourite of all times.

I was thinking precisely about that, and how copyrighting would work for a song like this...but then I thought: ED should not care if their YT video gets striked by a song distributor, their main goal here is to just get people to associate a great song to the module, and then people will be influenced to buy it and the actual money will come in! Awesome work guys. A dream come true flying this in VR. One and only one major problem; Can we please just have a 4 way trim hatswitch for DCS helicopters? It would be an easy way to get around the whole force trim/joystick center problem. I fly real helicopters, and removing springs, works around etc; just a simple solution to force trim/center springs would be once stabilized in the cruise etc. we can just trim it back to center. I know its a fixed wing thing buy without magnetic brakes and force gradients it would just be a simple, easy way to fix this issue. at least whack it in there as an option? I find the press and return to center and reset thing very realism breaking and very uncomfortable if you are used to flying real machines. I'm sure ATTITUDE HOLD mode trimming is coming with the SCAS/AFCS work but this just seems like a no brainer fix.
I'm going to amend this; not "major problem" - "Humble request" :)

I remember buying a LOMAC & FC2 disk for $20. I connected my computer to a 55” wall mounted screen. I had a Cyborg X that I laid down and played. I had also just joined the air force. Then I went through AF Tech School just as A10C was released. I ran it on my laptop and people were blown away. Now, now we have this. All of the legacy fighters, the 64, ww2 warbirds and…………. I can do it in VR. What a time to be alive. Imagine being almost 40. Imagine going back in time and telling 5 or 10 year old you, while little you is playing with a model plane little you just built, that eventually you were going to be doing the same exact thing but in VR and insane graphics and realism. Makes you appreciate this even more.

I’m old enough to remember playing “Gunship” on my Tandy 1000tx in the late 80s. Was glued to the idea of an Apache sim. From that to THIS is like watching the wright brothers first flight to the moon landing. Bravo! 🙌
