Michael Jackson doesn't get enough credit as a songwriter in my opinion. He started writing songs while he was still with his brothers and envolved as a songwriter with each album. ( I know he didn't wrote every song he released but he still wrote his biggest hits).

40 years ago. I heard this song on the radio for the first time while studying for a high school exam. At that time, I didn't know Michael. But I was completely knocked out only once. It was a tremendous impact! What a sexy singing voice! The radio introduced "Jackson Heartbreak Hotel" at the end of the song. From that time on, I became a fan of him. May his soul be at peace

The title of the single, "Heartbreak Hotel," was later changed to "This Place Hotel," due to legal complications from the estate of Elvis Presley. Michael Jackson was credited as the sole songwriter. All together, The Jackson 5/The Jacksons scored 31 Hot 100 singles including 23 Top 40's, 11 Top Tens and 4 No. 1's. (DECEMBER 06, 2020).

@@zaaishen9733 This is from the Triumph album which I have the original with the original title.I even went to see the Triumph Tour at the Omni in Atlanta and first heard them do this song and others from this album.I also have the tour book and tour jacket.This tour was before his Thriller album and before the Victory tour which I also went to see.
