My 05 focus fought me all the way, i had to use a hub press to get the CV axle release from the hub. My CV joint needed a puller and s chain to get it out, crazy how done vehicles are easier than others and they are the same car!
Love my 09 Focus, if I keep my foot out of it I can get 40mpg on the freeway. The Focus was inexpensive because we traded in an Explorer that was ready to implode on the last day of klunkers for cash, the Focus is my little go-kart.
1 - I would imagine that if you pound your foot, it would be very difficult to get the job done. 2 - If you would have used a lift you would not need a jack or stand. 3 - An even easier fix would be to buy a new car. 4 - Ya know I'm just pushing ya buttons ...LOL!!! 5 - Haters will be haters...feed em fish heads. Thanks for sharing brother. On a side note, got a timing belt issue when you get time...lol
It wasn't bad at all. About the jack stands, I had a hydrolic jack fail once when I was 19 years old. Luckily I was just doing a brake job and wasn't underneath the truck. You might not like them but I will always use jack stands just in case. I always lower the weight of the vehicle fully onto the stands to make sure they are gonna hold then I pump the jack back up to provide another point of support. You can't be too safe around something that's heavy enough to kill you, I'm not preaching at you, by all means do it your way, that's what makes this a free country, but I do HIGHLY recommend jack stands. Thanks for watching!
A man who likes guns and fixing his vehicles can do just about anything he sets his mind to,you ain't lazy and I appreciate that 👍🏻
I liked this bud. Never had to do this but glad you showed the old man something

My inner axle came out of cv joint. Is it easier trying to push that back in or to replace the axle like you did here. Thanks
Will the process be similar for a 08 focus?
Nice job!

Love ya too brother
Do u have to add more transmission fluid?
In this case no but you should always check to make sure your fluid is at a safe level. I should have mentioned that in the video.
Man those Freedom units are funny :)) eleven sixteenths, seven eights. Good job though!
very good video.... only you didnt show if you topped the trans off... i will still use your tips though
In this case I didn't add any. It was still in the safe zone. I should have mentioned to check the fluid level in the video though.
Subbed Brother
@@DownOnTheRange You're welcome brother
Wish i would have done it like this on my cmax. Same design and looks easier. Only gripe is you got to be safe and not use jackstands on the grass.
