Love that they started with "they think I'm marrying you for your money" and ends with her being the sole heir to the fortune.
Assuming she's able to convince the police and a court as to why she's the only survivor and that she didn't kill them all for their money! I'm sure a court would find it highly suspicious that the day after she got married the entire family died! lol
@@The-Underbaker To be fair I think she has a lot to argue her case. There's a dead body in the shed (impossible for her to fake) and she called that jerk customer support person for help (this is possible for her to fake but put together with the dead body, it works in her favor). And there's also other evidence that she truly tried to escape (her blood/skin on that fence)
It's going to be a baffling case for sure but it's not like she's completely fucked
Samara Weaving has the absolute greatest scream. She has a very small part in "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" that's priceless. I didn't even recognize her.
she seems to give her all to whatever role she is in. she makes movies that might not be as good better in my opinion
It's kinda funny but someone pointed out that the, ah, popping doesn't start until (SPOILER) breaks the rules by attacking her after it's already over. And if you remember what we heard about the rules, it makes sense - nowhere in the rules does it actually _say_ popping will commence when the prey survives. Just that they have to get her within the time limit. They just assumed that's how it worked.
That is an interesting point.

Emily's inability to use a weapon properly is certainly a change from her role as Wynnona Earp.
"MAYHEM" with Steven Yuen and Samara Weaving, directed by Joe Lynch. Very over-the-top violence and funny AF. Their chemistry is awkward but it works perfectly for the premise and plot. Crazy good time!
I love this move and Samara Weaving especially. She is pure gold in everything Ive seen her in.
Everyone compares her scream to a goat, I think because the movie draws parallels between her and the sacrificial goats, but I think it sounds more like the way a horse whinny-screams when it's really panicking.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I LOVE the Robert Johnson story and Crossroads, (w/Ralph Machio and Stevie Vai) , is a fantastic movie.
Crossroads is freaking awesom. That movie does not get the love it deserves. Especially that guitar batlle scene.
Even if she didn't pick the Hide And Seek game, she'd have been screwed, being a part of that family she'd have blown up like the others in the future if a future bride/groom managed to beat the sunrise
if you liked Adam Brody (Daniel), check out "The Kid Detective".
Other movies I'd group with this one are "The Hunt" with Betty Gilpin and "You're Next".
Also, if you enjoy the ridiculously over-the-top, beyond-Tarantino-esque levels of violence and gore, I'd also recommend "Shoot'em Up" with Clive Owen and Paul Giamatti, and "Smokin' Aces" with an amazing all star cast led by a pre-"Deadpool" post-"2 Guys, A Girl, and A Pizza Place" Ryan Reynolds
I don't knoe about Kid detective, but hard yes for The Hunt and Shoot' em Up

Devil worshipers chasing Grace...something right in front of them but they can never have, no matter how hard they search for it/her. If Alex would've saved her, they both would've lived and could've enjoyed the money together and the rest of the family would've died. As soon as Grace said she wanted a divorce, he imploded. Grace had a pure soul which is the reason she got the one card that wouldn't allow her to unknowingly sacrifice her soul for money. La Douches....
Fantastic performance from Samara Weaving. A real scream queen.
The perfect example of a decent concept done really well that creates an unexpectedly good film. Also, I would pay good money to see Samara Weaving play a Harley Quinn doppelganger in one of the new DC movies just to see them square off.
This movie made me laugh so hard I made a noise I never heard myself make before; I'd compare it to a monkey howling.
Filming in historical places -- I helped out with a 48 hour film festival project that shot in Cincinnati's Union Terminal (Museum Center now). We got to shoot in the main rotunda and the office of the terminal president -- and had to be VERY careful. Even taping down cables was questionable in the office. Fun though.
Samara Weaving should be the next scream queen!

Samara is indeed good in this, but my favourite is Melanie Scrofano (the cokehead niece), who also was JUST the right balance of serious and cheesy in the sci-fi/fantasy show Wynonna Earp. It's about a female descendant of Wyatt Earp (Melanie) battling supernatural forces in a small town. The first episode is a bit wonky, then it really finds the right footing. If you liked Buffy TVS, give it a go.
33:46 - they did an episode of Supernatural about that. Season 2 I believe
The sequel has recently been announced as well. Hopefully Samara Weaving comes back for it

Samara is great in Mayhem and Guns Akimbo. And the sequel to The Babysitter, Babysitter: Killer Queen, is a lot of fun.

Anya Taylor-Joy really looks different from Robbie and Weaving. She looks quite similar to a Disney animated character and brings new meaning to the term "doe-eyed."
Has Emily seen You're Next? Similar vein of badass final girl fighting the odds. It came out before this one and they have similar plots. I've seen somewhere that You're Next walked so Ready or Not could run.

The last shot is similar to Heathers(1988). I wonder if that was intentional.
Why would they report the car stolen, though? If the police find her (and I'm not saying the police are great here), they will find a terrified bloody woman. Even if they arrest her, she would be taken away from this hunt. Or are the police involved too?

Loved this movie, saw it in the theatre on a whim. Can recommend Skeleton Key with Kate Hudson and John Hurt for a good Southern Gothic horror movie.

Casa Loma is in my home town of Toronto, ON, Canada and has featured as the X-Mansion in X-Men, Strange Brew, Chicago, The Tuxedo, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Warehouse 13, Crimson Peak, Twitches, Twitches Too, The Pacifier, and Titans where it stands in for Wayne Manor, as well as a LOT of other great movies. They also have a fantastic escape room that takes you under the castle and across the road through a series of tunnels, and their summer music and dinner series are fantastic.
I always wonder what the aftermath of a movie like this looks like? How does she explain all the exploded bodies to the cops while not sounding like a a crazy person?
