Very nice, God bless senior man ,Tevz . But for me, I normally use my ESR meter ( built by me from Kimatti experience) and also my DMM Cap range to detect faulty electrolytic capacitors.... Master, you're very good practically speaking
The bad capacitor showed as 1.94mF which is 1940uF, so probably high ESR or leaky rather than low capacity rating .. Thanks for your great videos Tevs, greetings from Durban, South Africa
Good morning Tevz. Sorry 🙏 about the electric shock. I seen a the start of the video you didn't discharge the capacitor. But I said may you discharged it offline the video. But I didn't know you forgot it Careful next time sometimes we always make mistakes. And later we realised it. I think this is the 3rd videos where the capacitor seems in good shape but inside it already damage. Good video. Yesterday myself I make a suptid when replacing back a flex cable of a hifi with a rush. Now I damaged it. Have to look a new one now. And this flex cable for hifi 90s hard to find. Have a good day. ❤
Hi tevz we much appreciate your clips thank you for sharing this ideas with us here in Nigeria we need more videos, And I have so much question to ask if you allow me thanks ❤❤
Hi Tevz! Buy yourself a good ESR meter and reduce the troubleshooting time of such cases to four times and more...I recommend the Blue ESR meter, which already has saved me hundreds of troubleshooting hours...
Thats a leaky one. 👍 A good dmm with capacitance meter is enough. Specially dealing with power supply section only. But not in caps uses in tuners, timers, tone controls, freq gen, well thats critical. Thats when only to have and use an esr meter. Exsperience wise.
@@romerovalin2635The important point with the ESR meter is that you "scan" the entire board in some minutes and you are done with any bad caps WITHOUT desoldering anyone of them! This is the most important factor that saves your day. I wish I had this instrument on my bench at the seventies or eighties...Perhaps I spent thousands of hours with tricky electrolytic capacitors, too much time lost which could be saved increasing productivity and reducing stress as well...

That main filter was a nasty one, you could really have a shock if it is not discharge completely, sometimes I get shocked too when I forget to discharge it...
Hello tevz. Do you by any chance have the pinout for NT39522H-C02I4 Cof? Can you please help me out? It is on a dell laptop LCD panel. The only I can find is for NT39522BH-C02H7C Cof which is not compatible. Thanks.
HI, Tevz Question. The capacitance of the bad cap is 1. 96 mf. This is close to 2000 uF and the other one is 1023uF. I just do not understand why is 1.96 mf cap is bad, Is it because of the 160 ohms resistant. Is the ESR too high. Thanks.
Very useful.Thanks..

Thanks Mr tevz, you are my big teacher.
In my country, when someone gets shocked by a capacitor, we say, 'You're advancing in your profession.' You're also advancing, Master Tevz.

Excellent work Tevz. It is indeed very easy to be deceived by these electrolytic capacitors and we end up loosing the courage to complete the repair
Mega von ihnen kann ich noch ne Menge dazu lernen. LG

Hatte ich auch schon bei Philips gehabt. LG

The reading is not correct due to the resistance. Thanks for watching.

As is tested many times the voltage, there is always a time that forgets to discharge the capacitor.

The capacitor of power supply can be tested with analógic multimeter in ac scale 10 acv in ouput imput, if they are good no Ripple will be measured .

Boss pwede ba gamitin ang 400 nf kapag walang available na 220 nf capacitor? Mylar type.
pwede
