Kyle gets excited whenever he gets big black leathery things in the mail.
Met the Noble guys at E3 and they are a very top notch group. Cheers Noble!
I've never understood why gaming chairs always model their design from racing seats. Racing seats weren't designed for comfort for extended periods of time. Racing seats are designed to hold you in place under extreme forces during performance driving. No one would take a road trip in a dedicated racing seat because it would be extremely uncomfortable, so why would anyone want that same design in a chair in which they will be sitting for hours on end?
I do agree with you but times have changed most race seats are getting better and look nice.
Umm... Depending on what kind of racing; your agreement is invalid. Most racing seat are made custom to order for the Driver. I have/had family and friends that are into racing, most of which would have custom seats made.
Clayton Lusk
Most people don't have the money to have custom racing seats made. Unless you're a professional driver, you'll just buy seats from a company that mass produces them. The vast majority of people who use racing seats are not professionals and do not have the money to get seats custom made. And even if you do have the money to get custom seats, you wouldn't put tons of soft padding and cool threading on it to be comfortable and look cool. The padding adds extra height, and when racing you want to be as low as possible, even if that means sitting on little to no padding. And the threading just adds to the cost, so it's pointless. No actual racer cares how their car looks. That's why they have no carpet, dash, or interior panels. It looks ugly, but it takes away weight. Functionality takes precedence over looks. That's why you have seat companies like Kirkey that make barebones metal seats because that's what i safe, not what is comfortable or what looks good.
The more comfortable and visually appealing racing seats (such as the ones with tons of padding or reclining seats) are often not FIA certified so you can't (or at least shouldn't) use them in most sanctioned racing events.
Daken Blioux No doubt, they are expensive and weight reduction is a bitch. When I said "custom made" I meant to say custom molded. Your right.
Daken Blioux please stop, do what you need to don't write such huge comments
Something important to consider when buying a gaming chair/office chair is the seat depth, it largely effects comfort and I've found many chairs fail to offer enough depth which results in lack of leg support.
For reference, If you're around 6ft, 53cm+ (contact point) is good. This could vary slightly due to people having different waste-to-toe proportions.
Finally a new pair of glasses man, love them. They fit perfectly with your style.
This is very helpful. I don't know anything about gaming chairs and I'm getting a bit tired of my folding chair and need a fancy gaming chair. I will be on the market soon!
Great review, thanks. Just bought one of these
Good to see Squarespace as sponsor, theyre a great service!
Last time i was this early i ended up walking in on my parents
Back support is one of the most important things in a chair that is used for hours a day.
I'm happy with the RC1 and only cost me a bill, delivered! It doesn't have adjustable arm rests are real leather, but loving it so far for the price...oh and it has flip out footrest in case I get drunk and pass out for a nap and like you said , love the head pillow, but use the lumbar pillow elsewhere beyond the chair.
I have a Maxnomic/NeedForSeat chair as well, have for two years now, still going strong. :D No wear and tear at all
I use one of those Grey computer chairs from literally the 90s. It's never broken once other than having the back support get loose lelel. But that shit fucks up your back. So upgrade is happening
aluminium is a metal btw ;)
Last time I was this early, people didn't make "last time I was this early" jokes.
The new chair is clearly better you have cut outs for a 5 point harnes seatbelt just incase gaming gets to intense ;-)
Love the scene when he cries xD
I will give a massive thank you to noble for there customer support , my epic gaming chair came with version one arm rests , after a couple of years and clearly out of warranty i contacted noble because the arm rests did not match the quality of this full leather chair , i was just wanting to buy replacement arms , ! but to my amazment noble started a claim through overclockers uk and replaced the armrests no questions asked . I have never had a company do this ever . What can i say but wow
bought one of these about a week ago, showed up today and the stitching in the front left of the seat was coming undone... Thankfully Newegg covered the return shipping so... I'll assume that one was defective and hope the replacement isn't falling apart on arrival.
7:48 other benefits of genuine leather, THE SMELL!!!
I thank you so much for making 60fps videos
You should try the Herman Miller Aeron Chair. It is not a "gaming chair", but is one of the best chairs I have ever sat in/owned.
What are your thoughts on the plastic holes around the head/shoulder area? I've tried out a couple chairs with that feature and it just seemed to be a suddenly not cushy area of the chair, no benefit in my opinion.
So gtx 1080 or chair? hmmm.. tough
Depends what you have already, but if you already have a semi-decent gpu (or don't game a whole lot), a really comfortable chair really improves your whole browsing/gaming experience!
If you sit more than 3 hours, then a good ergonomic chair with proper back support. Having a fast gpu but you can only game for a few hours with back pain is not worth it.
Oh please. Dual e5 xeon, 512gb of ram and 4x titan pascal is child play to some people
Ziakel And 6700k+ 2 1080ti would kick it in games. 99% games wouldnt even know what 4x titan is and those xeon single core performance isnt that great.
I have a $60 chair from officeworks. Super comfy and never had a problem with it.
bro
do you have a version of this video assembling the chair in normal speed? just watching it is so satisfying
and thanks for the great video
Solid honest review
Durability & lumbar support would be my primary concern for an extened daily driver. Cloth or faux actually preferred over leather. And at that price point, hdmi inputs with inbound speakers & optical audio jacks is expected. Chair *LOOKS* amazing, however. Thanks for the honest review.
nice helping review and good chair! but the leak of backsupport from stock is nasty and hurts when it comes to the decision of buy. every gaming chair should have that lumbar-mechanism used in the noblechair hero because its so essential. anyways noblechairs do have much potential for fixing these problems. people will buy a perfect gaming-chair 👍.
"I cant remember if this is aluminum or metal, its one or the other..." - Kyle 2016
Aluminum is a type of metal, steel. Iron, copper, zinc, aluminum, silver, gold, platinum, brass, grafite, lead, mercury are some of the most common types of metal. Metal = metallic properties. You can Google the periodic table on metal and the various other metals.
Great for the price!
Perhaps i just should get passenger seat from my Volvo V70 and use it as chair..damn it has comfy seats...
my chair has a height adjustable lumbar support but not depth and i need that feature good you pointed it out., I am looking for a new chair
"the head pillow is great though gg" lol
i have been using the same chair for over 10 years. It cost £40 from Argos (A supposedly cheap retail outlet in the UK) I have seen so many DX racing chairs snal at the base on twitch streams lmao.
Luv ya BitWit
limitless plus in the background
Currently I'm shopping for a gaming chair . And I can't make up my Mind ! So many to choose from. So many So Expensive ! ! !
This chair looks really cool, I considered it for a while but ended up getting a way cheaper leather office chair instead (not as cool looking tho)
Hey Kyle! Looking into Noblechairs now, how has it held up?
thank you for the 2.0 review of the maxonomic
Yesss Kyle. I HATE it when chairs have a flat back. I, too, have an archy back.
Isn't aluminum and metal the same thing just aluminum is a type of metal? You said in your video "I don't remember if this was aluminium or metal" lol
The HERO series from Noblechairs has lumbar support. Will you be doing a comparison with it as it seems a bit more on par with the Maxnomic CLASSIC OFC.
hmm i saw that vive base station was on. Do you usually leave them plugged in or do you have them hooked up to a light switch of some sort?
+BitWit how is the padding on sitting part? Some said it hard?
What kind of chair did you have in the video, the one you were using everyday, I was going to check that one out as well.
Nice vid. I barely remember watching a review on a new gaming chair about a year ago, the only thing I am positive about was that the chair got its name by the number of parts it took to build it. Can anyone help me find the darn thing.
The Noble Hero has the knob lumbar support.
Cats prefer genuine letter, too. They love taking a piss on it, literally.
Why didn’t you fit the cushions that come with the noble epic ?
They are what provide the lumbar and neck support and transform the feel of it
Nice review! But is it better then the Secret Lab Omega Titan or Corsair T2?
"You can crank it how ever you want"
Cute as hell, man
If you still want to use the chair there are some different solutions to lumbar support on amazon. I suggest you take a look around but if you want, take it from me and just get whichever looks best on the chair.
You could try this www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B017MULLTE/ref=mp_s_a_1_32_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1475795944&sr=8-32&keywords=lumbar+support or this www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B015MF39PK?psc=1.
'How was your day?'
'Was OK, watched a chair review on UA-cam...'
Jeez, what I really want is a comfortable ~60GBP chair that remains comfortable 4 hours later, and that you can tip back and sink into a bit for watching films. Preferably if it didn't look like it was taken out of a rally car, that'd be nice too. I don't need threading holes for a 5 point harness.
Here in my garage... With my $600 gaming chair
LOL im sitting in a lawn chair like the ones soccer moms sit in during games
As someone who spends nearly all day sitting, I can say that lower back support is the most important part of a chair's design.
Why even bother making it if it doesn't have adjustable lumbar support?
Hi, I'm thinking to get the Noblechair Epic Full Leather. How is it after 3 years compared to PU leather?
I think due to size differences i may have to wait for Barnacules to make a video on this :D
My DXRacer is pretty much the same as this one. Especially the lumbar support part. :(
Im gonna buy the best noble chair ty bro
Hey Bitwit,
can you tell me your height? I thought about the Maxnomic but I’m not quite sure about the position of the lumbar support and if it could be too high for me (5,9 inch).
Thanks!
I have a Noble Icon Chair for 6 months very similar to Epic chair, had for 6 months, and do not listen to the idiots who say DXR Gaming chairs Noble or Maxnomic are not comfortable yes they are, the public is not stupid and would not buy them, very comfortable seats and my back support is excellent
It's not too firm? I'm debating on an Icon, Hero or Titan. Just about every review says the noblechairs are extra firm.
So Kyle, will you switch to the Noblechair as your daily driver?
Well I am currently looking for a gaming chair as I am starting to get lower back pain. Real leather will just wear in better so that is definitely something that i am looking for in a chair. Black colour works for an office chair as most peripherals and computers are black. The anodized aluminium foot piece looks really nice though but without the lower back support I will not even consider this chair. The real leather is epic though. The search continues...
so buying a maxanomic now, still king after a year....tops !!!
3:10 "I can't remember if this is aluminum or metal..."
facepalm.
i know its meant to look like a racing bucket seat but do they really need to include the holes in the backrest for a racing harness?
Holy Shit ! Get the cat or cat's DECLAWED !
I like the look of the maxnomic better :)
prob the biggest thing i look for is weight support (as in what is the max weight it can carry)
It shouldn’t be an issue, as most gaming chairs support around 400lbs, and there are “XL” types that support even more than that.
price is biggest problem I had $300 chairs brake after 2 years I'm large person and most these chairs only go to 250 pounds so I found Walmart sells Church chairs with 1000 pound limits for $75 and with a butt cushion for added support its great for long gaming or editing sessions if you're on a budget and a large person.
I'm short as well. I find myself having to sit cross legged or propping my legs on some type of custom foot rest (a spare car rim lol) because the back of my crappy used office chair (that a school threw away) sits too far back and I also use a little lower back support thing (meant for car seats) and a pillow for my back as the back of the chair is pretty much concave with no adjustment. I spend hours playing PS4 and my PC at my crappy small desk for hours so I really need a new chair.
Does it squeek after use? Can we get a review a year from now to see how it held up? Cause that's where/when it matters. Im not into 300$ every year or two. Thanks much!
What do I look for when shopping for a gaming chair? An office chair. Just throw some LEDs on it if that's not "gaming" enough.
How comfortable are those armrests?
I have the same exact chair at 6:40
How has it been holding up so far?
Cool Kyle! Needs RGB though...
Hey Bitwit, can you say something about your experience with the noblechair after sitting in it for about 9 month? thank you very much!
I still don't understand the whole computer chair trying to be a racing seat deal. That said, looks a hell of a lot better than my half broke fifty dollar shopko chair.
Where is the link to buy the chair?
A) No adjustable lumbar support is its fatal flaw. A mini pillow is no substitute.
B) I don't want those plastic channel cutouts behind my head.
Last time I was this early, I was waiting.
just bought an herman miller aeron
Oooh, I would totally get one of those as well, if it wasn't so super expensive.
Some of the office supply chains provide a viable option to the Aeron for a lot less money. You can even find them with a 15-year warranty.
But, yeah, an Aeron or Aeron-style chair is, in my opinion, a better option. The mesh back and seat are very breath-able. The seat provides a firm support without any chance of your butt feeling the pan underneath the cushions. And it's wide enough to let you move around; these gaming-oriented seats are modeled after car seats, which are great for fast cars because they help hold you in an upright position when cornering but not so good for long sessions at a desk. Of course if you have a small frame you will likely have less of an issue with that.
If you spill something on the chair it's super easy to clean, no cushions underneath the cover to absorb liquids. I've never owned leather furniture but it seems to me that it would be higher maintenance than other coverings.
One thing I do like about these gaming chairs is that some of them can recline quite far. The adjustable nature of the arms on this Noblechair look really good, better than Herman Miller's solutions and the other similar chairs I'm familiar with.
Penterax provide a link to these office supply discount chairs you keep talking about.
Reapov
The ones I've purchased have been from Office Depot.
www.officedepot.com/a/browse/ergonomic-office-chairs/N=5+593065/
I owned an earlier version of the WorkPro Quantum 9000 in the past. The newer version has been improved and comes with a longer warranty. Oddly though, I couldn't find one of these marked with a 15-yr warranty online but 10-yr is still, in my opinion, a good sign of the confidence the manufacturer has in the chair.
Staples is another place to check. It's also probably a good idea to go to your local Office Depot or Staples or whatever big office supply place you have near you, if you can, and see what they have in stock, they may have chairs at the store that aren't listed online.
Penterax I agree. never tried Herman Miller yet nor steelcase. I want a maxnomic dominator only for the fact it can recline that far back with headrest. nothing beats it at reclining lounge gaming. but I'm still planning on buying a steelcase leap v2 as my task chair. if not we'll see if I go for the Herman Miller who knows. I need to get in contact with some dealerships or used furniture stores.
03:55 - 03:57 looks not very confortable in the shoulder region, because of the "raicing" chair desing. i think the icon series is mutch more comfortable
Are those new glasses?
looks like my DXRacer Racing series...
i suffer with scoliosis, which is a horizontal curvature of the spine, and was wondering if this chair would be any good for me? i've tried around six chairs and all of them have been very painful to sit in for an extended amount of time. any advice/recommendations?
whispers to kyle: aluminum is metal dude.
Whats the best Office chair in the price range of 150-200€/$?
"I can't remember if it was aluminum or metal" -BitWit 2016 (rip awesomesauce)
about to comment that. What brilliance.
Aluminum isn't metal??
The shit I say sometimes. Amazed you all put up with me.
BitWit I know right? Like that time you said "Guys, I'm changing the channel name to BitWit"
Lol yay i got a reply
