the statement where Yamada said, "My hands are full, and I can't hold anything else" hit hard, best statement I ever read.
The pen was on fire when drawing that scene, and the microphone was on fire when the VA was recording.

Nah, the self love is strong in this one. It made me teary eyed. Also i think the senpai was making a test with the last jab (like, let's see how genuine their relationship is) and making an excuse to be hated by Yamada so he could forget everything about his feelings toward her.
This just keeps getting better and better with each episode.
The last part where he 'lied' he didn't said it as a last jab, but a lie for her to 'hate' him so basically he's cutting everything and giving himself a way out and a reason that 'she hates me' so I can stop this feelings now.

Said this girl while dearly hugging the charm that Kyoutaro buy for her last season. That charm is very useful, considering it gaves some brave for Kyoutaro (while giving the speech) and Yamada (while rejecting senpai).
Not me screeching on the last part at 4 am in the morning for my family to bust my door thinking I was being exorcised...

When Moeko asks if they "did it" towards the end she's making a dirty joke. She's teased Ichikawa about this a few times before, usually when they're acting shy around each other.

I hate the Senpai but I respect him too. He knew he was going to get rejected, that’s what the girl meant by “empty ritual”, but he just wanted to get it off his chest before graduating. He didn’t try to gain sympathy with his injury and lied at the end to completely cut himself off. It’s unclear, but he may have even done his confession in the same room to spur Ichikawa on afterwards. Plus, his confession also revealed that he likes Yamada for more reasons than just her appearance so he’s not as shallow as he seemed.

But they are still superficial, the difference is that Kyotaro likes Yamada for who she really is. Now the trash senpai "likes" her as an actress or model.
That last part is not unclear.
He saw him then decided to stay in that room.
Then looked at ichi after lying.
Then held him to ask why he dident do anything after like confess himself!
The senpai is a creep and he has to work on that. He is too focused on what he wants and not what other people are thinking.
The moment he made yamada laugh made it clear he had a chance and he blew it himself with his forceful creepy behavior.
He represent people who have good and bad qualities. Like meoko!
Been waiting for this episode for a while now. The anime did a wonderful job adapting the manga. Ichikawa finally learning to love himself again and also finally accepting that Yamada likes him is just so beautiful. PEAK

Anyway Ichikawa is a very normal guy/individual for his age, how old is he?? 12 - 13??
Considering his age he really doesn’t need to grow up, they are kids, they should be acting as kids, of course if he manages to get better socially so that he’s able to talk better more fluent with more confidence and so that he manages to carry himself better and maybe this will help him to overcome some situations which before he wasn’t capable to overcome, it’s only a plus and good for him.
The one who’s not normal is Yamada, she’s a 13 years old girl doing all the things she does, the life she’s living and the way she act.... yeah that’s no 13 year old girl. Not in real life for sure.
