REALLY NICE BIKE!! Love it...but I probably would have went for a regular cruiser seat and rear storage rack that way I could hide away the battery and junction box in a nice durable container.
Good idea. The kit comes with a battery box and mount, but it connects under the bikes bottom bracket. I didn't like the lack of clearance from the ground, so went in frame instead.
Got my kit and have been riding it all day this thing is a beast it blows the china girl away I have not did a mph test but it feels like I hit about 40 which is fast enought for me I just hope it hold up because this is by far and I plan on buying a whole lot of theses bad boys.
Thanks to your video I got mine to start thanks will kidd this was a great go through of the engine I didn't know that the black switch was the power thanks for the advice
how to hook up lights to the wiring to the engine kit. I'm looking all over you too I can't find anybody that does it. be awesome if your first one to show how people hook up the blinkers and stuff
Thats a nice kit. Sadly we cannot have these in the uk as they are classed as a full motorcycle. You should be able to use a 12v lithium battery of a rc car they are small and very powerful.
wacked outdude , that's sad! I expected better of my home country. Brit here as well ! As far as the battery, standard lead acid are used for the same reason they are used in cars, the other types of batteries require a special charging system, they cannot use a standard.regulator/rectifier powered from an alternator. The batteries would soon blow up. But, the lighting kit itself can be used with any 12 volt source.
Charles Britt thank you, but you'll have to order through zedamotorsports.com. I sold out of the mass produced kits from China, and have no plans at this time, to stock them anymore. Zeda Motorsports has the last of them available in the USA. I'm going back to hand building my kits using high quality components. If you decide to go that route, please look me up. Cheers!
Well I have been riding my BT kit for alomost 2 weeks and I just can not say a enough good things about this kit once I took the bottom of that slow rescrited muffler they put on this thing this baby shot right off like a cannon plenty of torque this is the kit that I have been waiting for Is it alot harder to put on yes but it is well worth the effort I am ordering a whole bunch of theses bad boys trust me if any body is thinking about getting this motor kit get it trust me you won't regret it a bicycle with a starter and a alternator it doesnt get any better than that.
On my kit the red button is not the kill switch the light switch is the kill switch did you have to rewire anything in the throttle assembly or just plug in that auxiliary in the fuse box
If your referring to the bt80 kit,the red rocker switch on top of the right handlebar control switch is not wired in. It's just there to fill the hole. No wires or connectors in it at all. I'm sure they just used this switch as it had the functions they needed for their set up.
hey im more interested in the wet clutch than the electric start, any pics of that? that top end looks like it was designed for forced cooling (chainsaw / mower 1 piece type cylinder) though and the motor looks way too wide to clear a standard bikes pedal crank arms.
how do you get the light switch to be the light switch and the kill switch to be to kill switch because on my set up the light switch is the kill switch
+djwillk ok thx, I just asked because it is a new type of 2 stroke, kinda taking 4 stroke mentality with no clutch and a pull lever option. thanks for clearing that up hope to see more about these.
If you want one, I can give you the number of a seller in Orlando. Shipment just came in yesterday, and he's sold half of them. (407) 617-6291. His name is Rob.
absolutely. it's got a wide crank assembly. can still be ridden as a bicycle, but not easily with the added weight the motor and drag of the motor chain
Omar Fernandez Those lights are my own creation, called the very bright bike lights lighting kit. I'm sold out currently, but more are on the way from the factory next week. $159 for the whole kit includes priority shipping.
Kathy Jordan it does nothing. The switch is a generic one that comes with the kit, in sure it's used in other things, but in this kit, it's just kind of there. No wires attached to it inside
Charles Britt the red switch was just kind of there. I think the electric start was used in a few different model scooters, and only wired in when needed. This model has the on/off switch to route power to the starter button, so no extra kill switch was needed
Samantha Counihan , the lights are just one of my lighting kits. If you like, have a look at www.djwillk.wix.com/vbbl . My contact info is listed there. The site only lists my hand built kits, but I have others that aren't as expensive. Thanks, and good luck with your build!
Mason MacEachern, usually 2 tanks of gas run through, at varying rpms, and you're good. The starter is built into the engine. It's a BT 80 engine kit. Sometimes referred to as the "Bullet train" engine kit.
I've owned 2 of those BT motors and they simply don't last, I've built dozens of bikes using the PK 80 and get 2-3 yrs of service before I have to scrap them, not true for the BT, starters go away rather quickly and the crank bearings start to growl in less than 6mos. Internal parts are impossible to identify making them hard to find , even Zeda can't get you some of the internals. Electric start is a novelty that adds 40lbs to your bike with the battery and relay box and with the centrifugal clutch the bike won't climb the slightest grade!
Mr. Will can you please help me? I just got the bt engine i'm trying to figure out which wire is the positive for the accessory wires so I can hook up your light kit on your kit it's green and pink I believe you said the green is the ground in the pink was the positive but on the engines accessory wires there's a green in an orange wires not sure which is the positive wire
G man , in Florida, where I first registered, and in Michigan, where I am now, they don't ask for a VIN. That sounds as if some more research is needed to see if there is paperwork you can file to register it without one, since it's a bike, and they don't have them
So is this engine about the same height as your typical 2 stroke engines? I have a roadmaster granite peak that seems to fit a 2 stroke engine. I want a bullet train Electric start kit however. I'm not worried about the width as it has a 3 piece crank and should take the wide crank kit no problem.
Well if its shorter then that's great news. I know it'll fit now. thanks a lot, man! about the battery. I will just mount that on the rear since it has no struts like a cruiser.
no worries and thank you, you can find 12 volt led turn signals all over eBay, just have to wire them in with a led turn signal relay and 12 volt source
+djwillk true but i havent seen anything as good as the kits you have me and a friend of mine are starting to get into open a motorized bike shop this would definitely be something i would like to use for our customers

Nitin saini I don't know. I've never used a fat tire bicycle. I'm sure with the right mods it would, but highly doubtful it would fit directly from the box.
Nitin saini all engines can use a jackshaft, just depends how much fabrication work you want to do. that bike in the video was topping out around 41 mph.
Randy James when I had that kit, there were only 4 other people in the States that had it. I got mine be it was released in the USA. it was expensive. but now many of the bigger motorized bike parts sellers have them. most are under the $275 range I think now.
Sick I just trying starting mine in a stationary position just with some bricks holding up the bike tire. And it's not very practical. And I'm diagnosing an issue so I have to go peddle it around each time to try to get it start. Lol.
Nitin Saini Official ,I haven't personally done a fat tire bike, but I've seen some with engines in them, so it's doable. I do believe there will be some fabrication that needs to be done, so if you're a first time builder , I wouldn't suggest it.
Will Kidd I have measure the frame it's impossible to install this. on eBay it's mention that minimum measurement should be 25mm length and height is 16mm for this engine.
no need for a tensioner on the motor side, just takes a little adjustment is all. it's safer, and one less friction point means more power to the rear wheel.

How much did that all cost? If I give you the money to buy all the parts plus an assembly fee can you make me one that bike set up looks fucking awesome
+djwillk the loudbicycle is 125db. I have the classic and I also brought the mini which is being built now. It was funded through Kickstarter. Your bike looks awesome!
Do you by chance have the price and what all is inside of the junction box looking to do something very similar or exactly what you have please get ahold of me as soon as possible
james kinne this is a BT 80 engine kit, sometimes called the"bullet train". If you Google it, you can find some vendors who sell them. Gasbike.net, Bikeberry.com, and a few others.

Fred, top speed fit me so far is around 41 mph. still on break in, and the bike I have isn't exactly a great rolling bike to begin with. probably faster with a better set up.
Can you do a Step by Step video on how to put it together ?
Yes
REALLY NICE BIKE!! Love it...but I probably would have went for a regular cruiser seat and rear storage rack that way I could hide away the battery and junction box in a nice durable container.

I'd drop the pull star if feasible, unless that wrecks the balance. you rock . rock on!
good call, Keys. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe fab up a cover, that would shave a few inches off the width.
Can you link the website you got the electric start kit please...
yes im curious on the signal lights in the front how theyre mounted .
Thanks to your video I got mine to start thanks will kidd this was a great go through of the engine I didn't know that the black switch was the power thanks for the advice
ive been looking all over for this!, thanks man!
What kind of batter and set up is this??? I'm interested in doing this to my motor but I'm not understanding any of this
And where did you get the turn signal from
how to hook up lights to the wiring to the engine kit. I'm looking all over you too I can't find anybody that does it. be awesome if your first one to show how people hook up the blinkers and stuff
It's a nice build and looks nice but just a lot of un-needed extra weight and headaches.
Thats a nice kit. Sadly we cannot have these in the uk as they are classed as a full motorcycle. You should be able to use a 12v lithium battery of a rc car they are small and very powerful.
wacked outdude , that's sad! I expected better of my home country. Brit here as well ! I'm gonna get a smaller battery and a front tube bag so i can store the battery, starter relay, cdi, rectifier etc inside the bag.
Just ordered one of theses kits can't wait
can you do a video of you riding it
I'm planning on getting your lights here in a couple months for this same engine I really like your kit will! Looking forward to ordering from you .
Charles Britt thank you, but you'll have to order through zedamotorsports.com. I sold out of the mass produced kits from China, and have no plans at this time, to stock them anymore. Can you do this to a phatmoto with 79cc motor 😊
you sound like a Maritimer - greetings from Toronto!!
Neil ,not a maritimer at all, but greetings, none the less.
Where do you get the head light and turning signals from also the buttons for the turning signals?
This is awesome work! I believe your fuel filter is backwards.
What is the cost for the electric start?
no it isn't
I paid $260.29 for mine
On my kit the red button is not the kill switch the light switch is the kill switch did you have to rewire anything in the throttle assembly or just plug in that auxiliary in the fuse box

That's freaking awesome man.
Where you buy that engine with electric start please
Love the electric start!
Lol

Are you related to a Sandra or Carolyn kidd?
Where can I get this motor, alternator and the other parts.
MAD bike btw so coool!
Will Howard email me direct at verybrightmotorbikes@gmail.com include your contact number and I'll give you a call with all the info
where did you get the cool turn signal lights ?
gary johns eBay,if I recall. that or Alibaba.
How did you wire the lights up....i need help please love the vid!
Did you have to assemble the cylinder to the body?
pearl jamz ,I did not
Hello, friend, is the motor AC alternating current or DC direct current?
Where can i get those headlights turn signals and tail lights?
hey im more interested in the wet clutch than the electric start, any pics of that?
that top end looks like it was designed for forced cooling (chainsaw / mower 1 piece type cylinder) though and the motor looks way too wide to clear a standard bikes pedal crank arms.
prawny, I didn't break the seal on the clutch cover. Sorry, I have no info on that.
Is there a kit ?
Hey will how’s it going
can you do another video of how engine works and about the clutch
how do you get the light switch to be the light switch and the kill switch to be to kill switch because on my set up the light switch is the kill switch
What is the name of the engine can I get it on Amazon?
How do you make it electric start
Mr Chaos , it's an engine kit called the BT 80. It comes with electric start and 12 volt alternator built in
I have a question about the kit, how hard was all the basic wiring for the kit itself?
Do you habe any links where to get the stuff to make it a pull start?
how did you make the start button work? can you teach me? thanks
It comes with the bt80 kit. This isn't a standard 66cc bicycle engine kit.
does it take a mix of oil and gas like a 2 stroke or is it separate?
Jeremy, it is a 2 stroke, so yes, it's a mix
+djwillk ok thx, I just asked because it is a new type of 2 stroke, kinda taking 4 stroke mentality with no clutch and a pull lever option. thanks for clearing that up hope to see more about these.
If you want one, I can give you the number of a seller in Orlando. Shipment just came in yesterday, and he's sold half of them. (407) 617-6291. His name is Rob.

what light system are u running where u get ur turn signal switch from...
Omar Fernandez Those lights are my own creation, called the very bright bike lights lighting kit. I'm sold out currently, but more are on the way from the factory next week. $159 for the whole kit includes priority shipping.
I am in Michigan too. How did you get it registered in MI as a moped?
Very cool bike. Did you build it yourself?
how the signal are mounted?
Great bike I'm thinking about getting where can I find
stretch beach cruiser
walmart has beach cruisers for about 70 bucks. that's where I got mine for my bike build
Thanks Caine
Does it still run good?
What colour is the aux power wire for lights
does it have a centrifugal clutch
yes, oil immersed centrifugal clutch
can the electric battery, alternator and starter be bought separately?
marvin forbes , this is a complete unit, the individual parts are not designed for other engines, so no, they can not
Just hope it comes with every piece i need
Nobody ever says, what is the red button above the kill/on/off switch and start button for?
Kathy Jordan it does nothing. The switch is a generic one that comes with the kit, in sure it's used in other things, but in this kit, it's just kind of there. No wires attached to it inside
Did you get the red kill switch to work? Or not on this engine kit.
Charles Britt the red switch was just kind of there. I think the electric start was used in a few different model scooters, and only wired in when needed. This model has the on/off switch to route power to the starter button, so no extra kill switch was needed
I’m buying a engine kit online, how do you get front turning signals and the front light ?
Samantha Counihan , the lights are just one of my lighting kits. If you like, have a look at www.djwillk.wix.com/vbbl . My contact info is listed there. The site only lists my hand built kits, but I have others that aren't as expensive. Thanks, and good luck with your build!
Will Kidd thank you
where did you get the turn signals?
Hello. Very nice build how are you powering your lights. Did you buy a kit or is a custom creation?
Hi Eric. I build my lighting systems. It's powered by a 12 volt rechargeable battery. This one was running off the bt-80 alternator system i believe.
Hey how long does it take for the brake in period and another thing where did you get the starter
Mason MacEachern, usually 2 tanks of gas run through, at varying rpms, and you're good. The starter is built into the engine. It's a BT 80 engine kit. Sometimes referred to as the "Bullet train" engine kit.
Ok thanks
I've owned 2 of those BT motors and they simply don't last, I've built dozens of bikes using the PK 80 and get 2-3 yrs of service before I have to scrap them, not true for the BT, starters go away rather quickly and the crank bearings start to growl in less than 6mos. Electric start is a novelty that adds 40lbs to your bike with the battery and relay box and with the centrifugal clutch the bike won't climb the slightest grade!
Ok
Jon Rothenbusch , yes,I agree. Although this engine is still rolling along, they don't make spare parts, and are heavy.
Charles Britt , green is ground, in both the lighting kit wires, and in the bt80 wire harness. Have fun!
Will Kidd thank you very much I appreciate it. And you have a very good day .
how hard is it to get these registered with no title at the dmv?
Gman, depends on what state your in. Different laws for different states
Will Kidd I'm in va. and the form I have to fill out asks for a vin number. other than that I can bs the rest just wondering how others did it.
G man , in Florida, where I first registered, and in Michigan, where I am now, they don't ask for a VIN. That sounds as if some more research is needed to see if there is paperwork you can file to register it without one, since it's a bike, and they don't have them
G man , same thing in Florida and Michigan, there is no con on a bicycle. In those 2 states, they assign a VIN sticker.
So is this engine about the same height as your typical 2 stroke engines? I have a roadmaster granite peak that seems to fit a 2 stroke engine. I want a bullet train Electric start kit however. I'm not worried about the width as it has a 3 piece crank and should take the wide crank kit no problem.
ZER0 it's about and inch and a half shorter that a standard 2 stroke. but it is 10 inches wide, which is twice as wide.
Well if its shorter then that's great news. I know it'll fit now. thanks a lot, man! about the battery. I will just mount that on the rear since it has no struts like a cruiser.

hi where can i buy this engine from with auto start
where did you get your turn signals i want something like those for mine
Jeffery, I build the lighting kits.
www.djwillk.wix.com/vbbl
There nice but i dont have that kind of money
But i did bookmark you site maybe in the future
no worries and thank you, you can find 12 volt led turn signals all over eBay, just have to wire them in with a led turn signal relay and 12 volt source

How about a link where to get the starter and relay box
This is a BT-80 engine. Very common now. If you Google search it, you'll find one. It comes with the relay box. Hope that helps!

what the fastest you reached on this kit ?
so far, 41mph
I would like to put an 12v alternator on my motor how would go about doing that and where could I buy it?
where do u buy the starter?
so is this a 2 stroke? I don't see a clutch cable.....can it run like a 4 stroke from a stop then?
yes, it's a 2 stroke, but it had an oil immersed centrifugal clutch.
I have 2 stroke but after 4000 miles I'd like to NOT have to pedal the start moving. I guess I can just buy a 4 stroke
This is electric start.
a 4 stoke is not???? I want to get one but the replace parts on my 2 stroke is cheap in cost I can't get myself to but a whole new motor
Hi, please tell me that this electric start engine fit on FAT TYRE BICYCLE ?
Nitin saini I don't know. I've never used a fat tire bicycle. I'm sure with the right mods it would, but highly doubtful it would fit directly from the box.
djwillk thanks for your response , but please tell your this motorized bicycle max speed & can this engine be attatched with jackshaft ?
Nitin saini all engines can use a jackshaft, just depends how much fabrication work you want to do. that bike in the video was topping out around 41 mph.
How much did the electric start set up run you?
Randy James when I had that kit, there were only 4 other people in the States that had it. I got mine be it was released in the USA. it was expensive. but now many of the bigger motorized bike parts sellers have them. most are under the $275 range I think now.
Wow, so are they like on ebay now?
Randy James gasbike.net, zedausa, and a few others I forget the names
Sick I just trying starting mine in a stationary position just with some bricks holding up the bike tire. And it's not very practical. And I'm diagnosing an issue so I have to go peddle it around each time to try to get it start. Lol.
I crashed my dual sport god I miss electric start
What sort of seat is that
Western flyer banana seat
is the electric start compatible with other 2 stroke motorized bike engines?
It's a new engine altogether, so no, it's made just for this engine.
Oh okay thank you
where can you buy the electric start....please advise
Gunny Marine , contact Rob at facebook.com/Zeda-USA-Technology-1177755102255141/
Can this install on fat tyre bicycle?
Nitin Saini Official ,I haven't personally done a fat tire bike, but I've seen some with engines in them, so it's doable. I do believe there will be some fabrication that needs to be done, so if you're a first time builder , I wouldn't suggest it.
Will Kidd I have measure the frame it's impossible to install this. on eBay it's mention that minimum measurement should be 25mm length and height is 16mm for this engine.
Will Kidd can you tell JACKSHAFT KIT/SHIFT KIT can install on this engine?
That, I have seen, yes.
Why is there no Chain Tensioner on your bike ?
no need for a tensioner on the motor side, just takes a little adjustment is all. it's safer, and one less friction point means more power to the rear wheel.
How much it cost? Where can I buy?
Are you in MI? i just got one of these bikes and I'm from MI and looking for some more info
Joey, yes I'm in Michigan. My direct email is verybrightmotorbikes@gmail.com
thanks
djwillk hey where can I find this light kit with those type of signals?
Michael,i build them. I've been building them myself for the past two years, but had to out source that, as I couldn't keep up with demand. I'll have the first batch of kits, hopefully before Christmas, from the factory over seas. I'll be posting that info on my very bright bike lights facebook page when it happens.
Ok so what is your Facebook page so I can keep an eye out for that.
Hey I need your help because I have a bike that I want as electric start
Can u add this to a dirtbike?
Barbertrappin 101 not sure what you mean. This is an engine with its own starter and alternator. Not add on parts.
nice bike bro where do u get the motor
bike Barry racing
c'est du beau travail ... j'ai fait déjà plusieurs vélos avec moteur , mais pas encore avec celui-ci ... peut être cette année ;)
velo-fun motor Je vous remercie! Bonne chance avec votre prochaine construction
What frame is dat build setup from
That's a mid 1950's Atlas Guaranty.
That mutha is gorgeous :-)
can you please make a video on how to properly wire this kit
it comes with an installation manual with the instructions
You gotta race that at unidilla alright?
this thing is definitely not a race bike.
+djwillk does it go decently fast. they look nice. im not try to go 10p kmh with it lol but i dont want to only be able to do 20
I'm doing 40mph
+djwillk easily or is that really pushing it
How much did that all cost?
If I give you the money to buy all the parts plus an assembly fee can you make me one that bike set up looks fucking awesome
You should get a loudbicycle horn. The classic one. Car horn on your bike. You can put it under gas tank , in front of the battery.
it's got a105db motorcycle horn. Classic road runner beep beep one. very loud.
+djwillk the loudbicycle is 125db. I have the classic and I also brought the mini which is being built now. It was funded through Kickstarter. Your bike looks awesome!
I'll look for that, thanks for the heads up
hi can I get a link to jack chin's site
www.jlzeda.com
thank you
how much is that that kit they have it on the site but no prices
I won't be wasting my time with a website with no prices. Usually means prices are too high.
Do you by chance have the price and what all is inside of the junction box looking to do something very similar or exactly what you have please get ahold of me as soon as possible

Fred, top speed fit me so far is around 41 mph. still on break in, and the bike I have isn't exactly a great rolling bike to begin with. probably faster with a better set up.
Is it a stronger engine than standard 2 strokes? I assume because its bulkier it would have added HP to make up with it. Thank you.
2 totally different engines. can't be compared to original China girl. twice as wide, and three times as heavy. apples to oranges
Ok thanks man, I cant wait to see more of these engines around.
were can i buy that motor
