every cars falls apart like Legos and I love it. There's not really soft body deformation like BeamNg Drive, but that's because it's not. I love how many pieces come off the car. That's something you won't find in BeamNG.
@MartianStories "Proxy" refers to an ultra simplified demolition mesh generated from the high poly model. The loose parts of the high poly model are then vertex parented to the corresponding structures of the proxy mesh which is invisible. The car models in this demo contain up to 1.8 million faces which would otherwise take forever to be calculated on regular computers. Optionally high poly subparts can be demolition objects too but also can stay solid, thus saving lots of calculation time.
This is looking awesome kai! One observation though, all the objects behave like soft rubber. Is this something that can be adjusted, so the obects behave more like metal?
thats one of the coolest anims ive seen with blender! good job! be cooler if you textured the cars. do u think u could ever make a tornado destroying a car. would b soo cool! :)
This is really impressive, Kai. How does a proxy differ from an appended mesh? Is it the same, with just "make proxy" selected? I should research, because I use a lot of appends...
Obviously this shows what is possible. Collision detection, Weight, deformation, and elasticity of the objects, need work. "You need to make it look like an accident, Vinnie." But this this is only to show what you can do.
Me: Hey, my car needs some repairs, so can ya fix it? Mechanic: Well um, I do have some proxy mesh in stock, I think that'll help. *Fixing In Progress* Me: Ahh... nice to have my car back. *car disintegrates* Mechanic: So, you like it, huh?
@KaiKostack Ahhhh. I figured it was something along those lines. Okay, it's something I'm going to have start using a lot. I have a lot of very highpol models in my current scene, all of which will get the big kersplat! at some point. Thanks for the headsup, Kai. You do good stuff!
They should keep the soft body physics in beamng but add more panels to break off so it minimizes the spiking/ polygons going crazy or add tearing to the parts
I think it's cooler when the cars are... I don't know how to put it... soft? Kind of like BeamNG. But still you probably put alot of work into this good job
this is to elastic and the part of the car is stil moving when i staping move. with a slight rally, this vehicle will crash together with the engine, and so on, it should be more durable.
I recommend you releasing this plugin with some high detail sample cars or other objects.. For those people who aint professionals and are looking just for something awsome.. Btw What will be the cost of plugin?
this blender demolition... would be neat if they added this kinda crash simulation in Grand Theft Auto. people would actually have to drive good to get quests done.
Programın bu yeteneği çok müthiş. Ancak arabalar biraz fazla parçalanıyor. Bunu blender'ın hangi ayarlarından biraz daha esnek ama parçalanmayacak şekilde ayarlayabiliriz?
The comment section bothered me a little bit but the whole idea behind this was to make a destruction system without deformations of the mesh. There's much more too it of what the authors intended which is the testing of proxies, linking, libraries, etc. I'm not good at explaining but if you're interested feel free to search the aforementioned terms on the Blender manual or youtube.
Clever but doesn't quite work - the cars disintegrate into their constituent parts, but the parts themselves remain intact and in perfect form. There is no deformity or damage occurring to the material itself. Appreciate that takes a lot more physics modeling though!
too jello-like. weld the car, change the elasticity, and add bending, tearing, and denting parts. also make it where if a part fal off, it just falls off and nothing happens to it, like the door on this timestamp 1:00
This happens to my drawings too. I've filed so many bug reports, but so far there doesn't seem to be any solution. If I can't figure out how to keep this from happening soon I'm going to have to go back to using ms paint for my 3d modelling.
