August does not get enough credit on this channel. The most caring, responsible, polite and patient 7 years old I have ever seen. August you are the best!! 🧡🧡🧡🖤🖤🖤
As a teacher I love watching you interact with your children. You do such a good job of using Growth Mindset and you amaze me. You said it, it's the fails that make you good at anything.
"Adventure has misadventure all wrapped up in it". Well said! I LOVE your parenting and how it shows in your confident and loving children. I have been following you and your family's adventures almost since the beginning and it is such a pleasurable and positive start to my day to smile along with you and your family. Thanks for posting

Lol, I can see into the future, August and his buddies want to go skiing and Adia says I wanna go, August’s buddies are like no little sisters she will slow us down, August says she can go, then brother and sister give a wink and the littler rippers let loose. Mom and dad. Your babies are phenomenal thanks to you, and they have love, their confident and absolutely beautiful ❤🙏
These three children are blessed to have the life you give them. It’s such a wholesome lifestyle. They are growing up to be successful , responsible kids. Awesome job mom and dad👍🏼😁

I love watching your channel and you interacting with your children, . Your encouragement holds space for your children to discover, explore and show up as their best version of themselves. It is so inspiring and I just smile as I start my day watching..
I watch you from the UK. I'm amazed that Adia can ski so well with without poles. Her sense of balance must be amazing. Good wishes to you and your family. This is surely how childhood should be.
It really cracks me up that you are constantly telling Adia to slow down. 😄 As natural as breathing she does for a second then ZOOM she's off like a shot. Augusta is a SUPER big brother. Way to go Bro!! Hugs to your family!
No, as the parents have said their self acceptance, self worth, identity isn't wrapped up in or around their sking. They are THESE traits already in who they are as they are no more non less. That mindset has been instilled in them from birth in their individual unique selves allowing them to be free to be themselves in their unique selves while realizing they are absolutely beautiful ❤️ just as they are, were made. This very 👍 mindset will be the mindset strength to make it through their lives. These Parents use this wisdom through the sking to show how unique selves are they & to not bring in the nastiness competition between them or with other skiers. Like the boy who in with humbleness won all the events yet played it down, made no big deal out of it. This came from the parents life teachings your not your sking. And in his humbled response he schooled the other skiers your not a failure, & I am not any better to you boasting and all. He if was taught to relate his value to his sking he'd have mentally, psychology mindsets those kids mindsets for the worse. How that mindset of this child(ren) to be this way, to have this understanding is in no need for any fan clubs for any of them. They are well adjusted taught children with the right taught ways & mindsets. No fan clubs wanted. ❤️⛷️🏂⛷️🏂⛷️ It's what they do not what they are. The parents taught them well in this. And to learn 🤗from their falls, that falls aren't a fail, but to learn from. Even Dad falls & is respectful to her when he made her fall twice on his account.
"You didn't give me space" lol, that's reallyy cuteee. I've been binge watching since the very first videos and now I'm here! Adia improved a lot, it's so cute and impressive, great parents!!
We absolutely love your channel and also embrace the importance of getting kids outside and active. We have been enjoying your videos all season. My boys (5 and 7) were thrilled to finally be able to ski Corner Pocket today, just like Luca and August. Thank you for being real and true to what parenting life really is like.
how is there three dislikes for this video. It’s amazing how the kids are just conquering those trails and through those big huge trees, enjoying the powder!
Loving your vlogs. Reminds me so much of when we started skiing and climbing with our two daughters. Now I’ve a 7-week granddaughter and I get to do it all again. So blessed. Keep doing what your doing, each day is a school day.
These are super fun videos. I am not a parent just an older avid (female) skier, ex ski instructor. Because I can’t travel to ski this winter it’s nice to live vicariously. Your kids are great and you are a fantastic parent. I am sure as a ski patroller you are well aware of risks of skiing on tough terrain with kids between your legs. My brother who is a Level 4 CSIA (very experienced skier) fell on my niece while skiing with her at age 7 and broke her leg. He was holding her between his legs on advanced terrain. Yikes. Pretty traumatic. I get stressed when I see you doing this. Not because you don’t know what you are doing but I am afraid that less experienced skiers might try this and run into trouble. Maybe mention risks of doing this in one of your videos? Just a thought. Look forward to watching more of what you do with your great gang of kids at Fernie and elsewhere.
Great video! Found your channel while researching a trip to Fernie and since then my kids love watching every video as they come out. Seeing you skiing with your kids has inspired and motivated my daughters and they’ve really improved their skills this season. Thanks!
Thank you guys and all skiing parrents! I first started skiing when I was like 35, every time I was standing douthing myself on the slopes and saw kids riding/flying by. It made it easy to just say "what the hell, if they can do it I can atleast die trying!" Love your videos and how you are with your kids, looking forward to be able to travel to some slopes. For now, youtube will have to patch the itch.
Love it. We have always had the same controlled risk taking approach with our son. His daycare had the same approach where every day they would take them into the large urban park in Halifax and let them “take risks”. Now he is a ski race kid and there are so so many life lessons that skiing teaches you. I have long loved how skiing gives kids a chance to try things all on their own and take risks and then see how it goes. As a dad I get amazing joy from that look of pride on my son’s face when he takes a risk and succeeds... and even when he takes a risk and realizes that he needs to keep trying in order to figure it out!
Love your video, first heard about your lil one skiing on Calgary news tonight and watched Adia. A pro in the making for sure and your kids obviously enjoy the activity and of course being with you, amazing!!!
Wow, this is awesome. Both hands full with two little ones and you're still doing a terrific job with the camera! Especially on those narrow trails through the trees. And barely anyone on the slopes - I need to move to Canada ;-) To be honest, I'm a bit jealous, with no chance to do any skiing this season due to the pandemic (pretty much all resorts closed for us here in Germany). Keep your amazing footage coming!
your videos make me stay inside now for watching your videos, but I'll go out with my sons!! I love your parenting philosophy!! We were living in Lethbridge and Barrie before. Your videos remind me the life in Canada.
I love watching you guys over and over . I love Adia , she is so funny and adorable. She inspired me to be good next year when I go to park city for 2nd time around skiing ⛷ Go, go, go awesome family 👪
Recently found this channel after your mic'ed up video went viral. My two year old is just behind yours with her skills, she's still keen on the harness as her snow plow is non existent. We've been down all of the chairs other than polar peak and white pass. Have you considered doing a gear review for your kids kit? Keeping toes and hands warm is always a challenge/concern. Hope to see you guys on the hill one day as I'll be showing my daughter these videos as some extra ski stoke
Yes - I want to do a few more tutorial type videos. From gear and clothing to technical strategies and mindset stuff! So many videos....so little time! haha
@@ThatMountainLife I would love this as well!! And overall parenting style tips. Like what do you do when they act too afraid to do something? Or have they always been fearless? How did you first throw them into it? Is it a mix of their personalities plus parenting? Is it the amount of times you go? I struggled knowing the best way to help 2-3 year olds get started.
Love everything about your videos and your family! Just saw you guys on Tha National. The joy you give is now going national! Hope more people subscribe to your channel to feel the love!

How are you filming this? The camera is sometimes filming you from the front and since you were holding your daughter, you couldn't have been holding a selfie stick. Hey man, in this video I was mainly using the 360 camera and didn't mic up anyone...There's a few spots where you can hear the wind drown me out when I was speaking. The audio on the 360 camera isn't that great. But when I use the Rode Wireless Go system with my go pro thats what I get the best audio of my daughter.
