Cool build my man, I know you really love your knowledge growth So you think it would be possible to combine Fey Mists + Gloom mechanic? Like… Fey Gloom? I had this idea recently for a Dark Elf idea similar to Forgotten Realms/D&D stuff
Perhaps one day my Meat Tinkerers can compete/coop with these Wolven Liberators as they are also Lupine. XD Don't forget all your special provinces in this build (except Abbey) buff each other's output.
Just picked up the dlc! So far one of my favorite ways to play is Harmony Oathbound with silver tongue and keepers of knowledge. It feels very strong starting the game with two great shadow abilities, and no need to grab further shadow affinity. Take a flying mount racial trait and anything else, i chose strength. Anyways! Roots -> Discipline -> Mists -> Scrying -> Amplification -> Cycles -> Prosperity -> Sanctuary -> Goddess Makes for a very durable army where you can put out lots of fey imps and of course the wonderful Peacekeepers culture unit. I was shocked how above their weight they can punch with the harmony heal. They auto resolve very well. If you place your SPIs well, you dont need to worry about mana. Pairs very well with a defender champion leader, and in general defenders make a great match with a stack of squishy flying ranged units. You could also take Storms instead of prosperity, but I think they're kind of overkill. I can make a lot lot lot more Peacekeepers with some more bank in my pocket, and prosperity dragons replace any other support you might have been hanging on to. Storm just feels like you're grabbing it for the racial skirmisher, and that depresses me lol. Less flavor too
Nice video bro can you please do a video on build order for cities ? I normally try rush production then specialise the city depending but i dont know if thats optimal. Any tips ?
I would like to see a build utilizing the fey mists and such tomes, thinking perhaps mammoth mlunted barbarians with lingering and clinging mists as ways to avoid taking dmg after engaging
Maybe not Mammoths since Large Target kind of counters the whole Mists thing. Dire Bears are the next thing for health, although Eagles does the same model reduction as Elephants and provides more mobility.
Ah nice! Was looking for a new Reaver build. How is this different from your older Reaver Golem build? Older one still viable? Furthermore, what do you think of the swift marchers cultural trait?
This one ditched the copper golem/Bronze Golem path entirely in favor of heavier support/tankiness. Older build is definitely still viable but less of a "sit it out" kind of playstyle as spearmen are more attack heavy. I need to look up Swift Marchers as I smh don't have it on the back of my mind and I wasn't able to Google it quickly. I'll definitely have a look at it though, cause I'm always hungry for new ways to destroy the poor AI ^^
@@Ic0nGaming Ah I see, good stuff. I had a look at Swift marchers with the Barbarian culture... It is just filthy how good (And definitely OP) it is... I would also like to know what you think of the new Vigilante Knights culture trait as well. It seems to synergise well with fabled hunters. Maybe a nice combo for Reavers?
Age of Wonders 4 is a masterpiece and getting better. I don't think it can be compared to Against the Storm, or most other games, in essence you have a main hero a main city, expand, evolve your race, acquire powerful magic, items, boons, more cities and terrirories and level up your heroes. I higly recommend giving even the base game a try
Not really close. Age of Wonders 4 is a mix between 4X (eXplore, eXpand, eXploit, eXterminate), RPG and tactical round based combat. I have not played Against the Storm a lot but I think it's more of a a roguelike-city-builder with worker-placement. I doubt it scratches the same itch.
@2:05 you said sneaky might be great because you apply a lot of blind. But blind as far as I know has nothing to do with getting flanking attacks. Did you mix up blind and distracted here or do you mean because of blind you can walk away from an enemy and reposition to flank them without getting an attack of oportunity?
@@Ic0nGaming sure, no worries. Also noted, the strategy stil works if you work with Shades. The Shade having only 1 AP attacks, not repeating, can move away from a blinded enemy, no AoO due to blind, and position on a flanking position to get the sneak dmg Bonus. So the strat still works due to the 1 AP attack.

Is this same style as against the storm ? I just for into this game because of your videos ? Also is it as good ?

I think someone got tired of me asking for construct builds lmao
Why are you so full of yourself?
Nvm, seen your profile picture
@@absolutelyfookinnobody2843 lol full of myself? Just found it funny he made a construct build finally. Take that broom out your antsy ass kid lol.

Yeah, that was an oversight on my side you are right. Thanks for correcting me, I keep messing that one up even in my memory ^^
Can't blame Icon for the mistake: one honestly thinks a blind dude should be easy to flank 😅
