From cleaning oil off of everything on the car to banging it off the top and 2 step shuffling off the bottom while battling for the lead pretty much the entire 25 laps! It was a damn good performance! I was entertained! Don't be so hard on yourself Mr. Ryan. The greatest can sometime get dealt a bad hand. ANNNDDDD the after the race comments while you where still in your car. I love that. That's the hungry Ryan. Let him out every now and then. Makes people know you are there to win, not just run second. Confidence is addictive!
First of all Ryan and I know you know this as well your father in law is priceless that man gives you a 110% all the time and it is amazing to have a crew guy that willing to go the extra mile for you. A huge shout out to Ryan's father in law he is the rock of the battle ship. Yeah I can say you was faster on the top and when you went low it costed you the win. I don't like saying stuff like that. You drove an amazing race Ryan you felt you made the right move and it didn't pay off but at the same time he may have found a groove that was faster and got the win. Good recovery from a little hiccup. One thing is when you do UA-cam you have to catch it all, this is what folks who view want, what they don’t understand is how hard racing is even on a weekend warrior level. The time, treasure, blood, sweat and tears is real. What I’m glad for you that it was just an oil line, not something catastrophic

Excellent run. Your Sunday porch assessment was dead-on. Late race caution, when leading, protect the fast lane (top or bottom) of your closest competitor; force them to beat you off their slow lane. Lessons learned 😊. You are a hell of a wheel man. Tuck this away for future reference! All in all, you only lost 4 quarts of oil and a set of tires, but finished second against a fast car; not bad at all! Proud of you!

you remember this bro, coming in a second or coming in last it's just a past it is a virtue of winning. I have raced for 45 years but retired 2006 now and I learned my experience yes it is disappointing but I've never gotten mad because I've always remember it just made me try harder your win will come to you, so don't beat yourself up that is the worst thing, it just wasn't your night and believe me you're going to have plenty I did, but I have to say that was the best damn racing I have seen for a long time and you did a awesome job of driving.!!!

Usually when the word smoke and race are together it's not good. Thankful it wasn't internal and easy fix other than the oily mess. Good racing up front for the win! Yes, maybe you could have moved up and took Rusty S line but hindsight is 20/20. Good news is racecar is in one piece and can race another day! 👍

Been watching since you met up with the HTF boys. I have watched every video since I subscribed and this one had me.on the edge of my seat! When the caution came out, my neighbors knew how bad I hated to see that flag fly. Your car was on rails. No jabs at all from me. 1st is awesome but what a damn show for second!!! I paid for this whole seat in my house and only needed the edge of it. Good health and safe travels!

They're having a cocktail cuz I'm off this week so I was getting pumped up for Friday racing and figured I'd go through your videos. I never saw this video. I got a comment on your coffee break at the end. He was up and smoke once and the first thing you heard when you come back in was that when you left there was a big puddle of oil under your car. After the best case of 20/50 you ever bought being put back in he went back out on the track and out ran 777 as if he was nobody, and came in second. Like I said before my friend, you are blessed. 😇

Post race interviews are tough especially when you haven’t even exited the car. It usually takes a couple minutes to decompress because you’re still running the race (or re-running) in your head. Racing requires intense focus and not wanting a camera in your face before you’ve even unbuckled is reasonable, IMHO.
