This is a well considered and pragmatic work space. I think the most important thing that you touched on and most people miss is 'Do I actually use this?'. In addition to that prioritising workflow over a pretty display area. I think what gets lost is that letting workflow dictate the final form is beautiful!
I love how honest you are! I was concerned for you as a fellow, UA-cam creator that people were gonna leave and go watch the Adam Savage video. And honestly I might have if I hadn’t already. Its this incredible honesty, genuineness, skill and knowledge that get me excited to watch your new videos. I’m currently doing some wall organization in my van and in my shop and recently watched tons of these videos. So that I thought I was done with them. But then he popped up and I was excited because I figured I will learn something new we’ll see! Your advice is always solid!
I was delighted to hear you modified Adam Savages' 1st order of retrievability' to "returnability". I said exactly that to my grandson when we were talking about organization.
I love your angle and the way you think, It’s inspiring and I’m certain your following will grow to match it. I really enjoy your videos when they come out, thanks for taking the time out of your day to share - I hope soon your time will be rewarded properly
My excuse for not being organized is the order from chaos idea. I have one bench I use for building and one next to it where tools I use most often are scattered and in chaos but I can easily grab the one I need and easily put it back when I'm finished. It works pretty good but needs improved. I got some good ideas from your video. One being able to pull tools instead of lifting them up makes sense for saving space or consolidating the things you use most keeping them handy. I have a lot of wasted space. Good and well done video without any music. A common sense approach. The music isn't really helpful like I see in some videos.
Ever considered that you might have ADHD? Physically unable to put things away despite craving tidiness and order - “ scatter brained “ - classic signs 🤷♂️

The best video I’ve seen for tool wall organization. I love the argument against the “display wall” type organization. Thank you.
Awesome! Thank you!
That screwdriver rack...I like that, I'm definitely doing that!!!

Amazing concepts. One of the best shop organization videos I’ve come across
Some good tips here, thanks for sharing!

Great process, I too cannot put things away, as I use them, is there a scientific name for what we have?

savages way is ok....but things are not protected from dust....he doesnt make much dust though
i also like mismatched tools vs sets..as each tool is easier to identify
