Old Drill Press Restoration

- This is the restoration of a really old benchtop drill press. It was in pretty rough condition. I've replaced all the bearings, shaft, wiring, belt... well basically everything that needed to be done. Maybe I just didn't get the colour right?
There was a bazillion parts to this. I don’t know how you remember how to put it all back together. Once again love to watch
Holy smokes, you DID IT. One of the more advanced restorations I can remember viewing on your channel. The value that you rescue from your projects is inspiring, skills like yours will always be in demand. Just fascinating to watch imo...
The color is PERFECT . Awesome restoration and my wife says "Andre is brilliant and very handsome " . 1000 Thumbs up and please give your rescue pony a big hug from us . THX
You better watch out man! Andre is going to steal your wife from you lol.
good job Andre, thank you for sharing
Im watching you channel
great job, the new paint and gear work looks amazing.
Incredible knowledge and skill. What a wonderful result too. ATB
Fantastic as always spot on.
Very nice job andre 👌 it's always the best part of the resoration when you can finaly test it at the end... and when it's actually working of course 😉
Awesome. Factory restoration and more. Cheers
A very substantial reclamation of an originally well made drill stand, well worth the effort you put into the not easy task, your finished drill press was imaculate, definitely gets a 5 ☆ review
Just came here to say two things.
Fantastic work, and a long hard day's job in doing this kind of restoration.
First :)
Great looking restoration I also like the color you used I think you nailed it on color it looks like the old school heavy equipment color you would see back in the 60's and 70's. You have a good eye for detail. Enjoyed the video keep them coming. Thanks
It became like a KitchenAid Mixer of a drill press. Beautiful!
traderjoes lol. I was thinking the same thing. So sleek! Can’t wait to see what he restores next.
agree!!!
Great video as always. Keep up the great work. Love the restoration.
Wow, what a video. Thank you for this content, sir
Job well finished and how?!?! You never cease to amaze Boss!
Having total flashback to 7th grade wood shop class right now. Think 1993 or something. It was my homeroom too so an extra hour a day plus an hour of reading time. Only class in school where you had to read at a woodworking table and not a desk. Lol. But I remember the drill press the most.
Nice looking job.
Wow great effort. Great result
I can only imagine the satisfaction you get when you finally get some of the more difficult pieces apart after hammering at them for so long.
Beautiful!
By far your best resto IMO!
You do such a great job restoring things. This is another fantastic video.
These videos are so satisfying.
This is my dream restoration video😍❤️👍
Amazing job
Perfect just like new good job
That is a beautiful machine!
A beautiful beast! Love the green color, i think it would have looked even awesomer with some gold accents
Nice job! The paint looked fine to my eyes,
Great job. Doesn't just look like new, it is new.
Great work! , I was a little hesitant about the caramel color but the combinations with the machine model makes it look awesome.
Great restoration.
Now the combination of sandals, black socks and flower print shorts are an entirely different matter.
Great job start to finish. ......and great color. Very age appropriate.
I can bet it came in bundle with the other electric motor! Am I right? Dear Andre, just where in the world is this flea market that has all these gems?!?!?
I love your videos man
For some reason it calms me down,I sometimes have no clue what's happening but its always interesting to watch
Keep uploading more thanks :)
I love the color. Great job Sir.
That drill looks quite a beast. Nice job!
Nice job, loved the colour contrast !!!
Amazing! Thanks for sharing
Amazing restoration. Would love to have it.
Great restoration .
Excellent colours, very cheerful in a workshop environment
Magic is a real! Andre did it cause Andre can do it!
Andre I am one of your fans
Que ferramenta linda, perfeita restauração... Parabéns! ! !
Awesome job!
I'm so happy you didn't paint it white like everyone else seems to be doing these days
Would be cool if you also could show the first start up after reassembling everything :)
Really nice restoration process- was fun to watch!
Excellent work.
Beautiful job!
Awesome job! I’m getting ready to start a restore of a Mark 1 floor model but having a hard time finding parts for it like the bearings and shaft.
,,,great resto, looks good to me, it lives to work another day..lol
Nicely done! And the color choice is just fine too.
Just greatness....
Looks great - now, start drilling!!
It's very Good job, ;-), thank you.
Great color choice! Anything not black or blue is great
Ah! Excelente! Ya no los hacen así. Muy buen trabajo brother! Abrazo desde Montevideo - Uruguay
Niiiiiice. You blew my mind again.
So clean...
Very well done congratulations
I like that forward facing off switch, dam sure ain't H/Freight I think. This will be handy some day. Thanks again.
Great job.
Satisfying
wow,you did it again!! just like somebody said it before,it looks like a retro kitchen appliance :-)
Good restoration 🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍
great job! nice machine
I'm so jealous of your garage
Very nice work
Guys...I think I have a theory over here... I think he buys a new one to replace the old one... Because it just looks like a new one(SOMETIMES EVEN BETTER THAN A NEW ONE)
Im obviously just kidding... Great work by the way!! :)
now we know why he restored an engine... great job again
NICE JOB!!!!
Una meraviglia. Complimenti ottimo restauro
Very nice. You can also use it as a kitchen blender, lol.
Great job as always! But you should have sprayed it in the original colour...
Отличная работа!
Very nice
Thanks for the video, very nice job and colour (the original green was a bit darker). Just yesterday I was looking at the similar drill press for sale (Jihokov Hustopeče V13) but in much worse condition than yours (missing a spindle and some other small parts), but I'm taking it.
Felicidades una perfecta restauración... Mi color favorito. Saludos desde Barcelona.
Good Job. The cleaner you use looks to be MEK that stuff is great.
That is really nice send it to me if ya want 😁
Why am I watching and loving this, I'm not even stoned
Great job but I get crazy of those fast forward stuff. Why not show 1 bolt in normal speed and discard the rest. That will give a much nicer movie to watch
good job... i like the colour :-)
una meraviglia complimenti
The right paint!
Fantastic job and result! There's one thing though, see if you can invest in a proper (ratcheting) crimp tool for the electrical crimp connections. Relying on just your muscles and flattening them with regular pliers is not the right way. Thumbs up for applying heat shrink over them though. While normally not necessary, it's paying nice attention to detail. When the wires come loose, the wires will be held in place at least.
Great video, fantastic restoration, but the cocker...YUK would be great in light brunswick green
I know where there is a real challenge in colorado USA two of them a big boy drill press waiting to be shown love
Excelente
10/10 only thing i'm on the fence about is the white cord
but that will turn black in no time :P
A brilliant restoration brother. I think the color is awesome. Did the drill press work well?
Hey with that color it looks like my great grandmas sewing machine.
Sir beautiful work, wonderful job,I too hold a old drill press,I need to restore it,what difficulties will I face, do you remember all the parts for where it was removed or you refer the video again, will be able to guide me if I stuck so where
awesome restoration! just the color could be a little more industrial
What’s that liquid he used to clean the parts
Looks like a Kitchen Tool at the End :-)
things that will make your life better:
a shop press
proper wire crimping pliers (engineer)
an impact driver
a sand blaster or gas pressure washer
