We explore - Ep10 - Ria Formosa, Fuseta, Algarve

Wednesday 4th August 2021 in Fuseta down on the Algarve, still mask wearing...
We're on a road trip, so this gives us plenty to film whilst we are 'down south' of the country. We are staying in Fuseta, a delightful small fishing village that's managed to escape the tourist developments such as Vilamoura. It's surrounded by protected salt marshes and sits on an outcrop, so there's no way it could ever change.
But the jewel in the crown that we bring you is the Ria Formosa, the tidal sheltered and shallow seas that support a multitude of sea and bird life. It's on our doorstep, and so delightful and untarnished we had to make a video just about this fantastic location. Not crowded, not spoilt, not known about unless you're already in the know...
This place may not be to everyone's tastes, there's not much to do compared to resorts. It feels stuck in time somehow, but it is very special and I feel lucky to have easy access to this area, and blessed with family based locally.
We hope you enjoy this beautiful location - we certainly do.
